If you can manage financially - would you pay more tax, for better public services?

I know tax is a challenging topic and both the main parties keep their heads down and say that they will not raise taxes, or will cut them further. I know few people love paying tax - but I have read more than one extremely rich person saying 'tax the rich more! We need better public services, roads, schools, environmental care.......and more!' This is a rich person asking to contribute more for the sake of the country they live in.
I am not extremely rich! but I am ok and grateful that I have a roof over my head, and do not worry about having enough food. And I would be glad to pay more tax. Tax which could give young children a better start in life, which could help people living in poverty, older people who are struggling to make ends meet, caring for the environment......we could all make a long list of things we'd like to see. And they (mostly) cost money - money from tax payers. So I'd vote to pay more tax. And also to go all out to get money from the rich tax evaders, who get away with paying too little tax, because they can. Do they ever think about the needs of others who have too little? Maybe they will........if we have any fabulously rich people on GN reading this!
