How on earth can this type of stunt gain votes?

I don't think Davey's crazy stunts are doing the Lib Dems any favours at all.

I think he needs to change his advisor/PR company, three daft stunts on three consecutive days. I dread to think what he will get up to tomorrow.

He is becoming a complete laughing stock in my eyes.

I wonder if any here who say they will vote tactically for the LD candidate will think twice after all this silliness?

I’m the floating voter who won’t vote Tory because we need a fresh start and can’t vote Labour because of the mess they’ve made in Wales.

I’ve voted LibDem a lot in the past but their present leader is fast becoming a plonker with these stunts - Boris seemed a natural at this sort of thing but it seems to me that Ed Davey is trying to inherit his “man of the people all round good bloke” persona and it looks plain daft on him!

Lord only knows where I go next - I’ve never not voted in a general election since I started in March 1974, maybe it’s back to Plaid Cymru!

At least he isn’t waving flags at the same time. I suppose it gets him, and by default his party, noticed, which would probably not happen if he didn’t do stunts.

Oh dear. What was he thinking?. Absolutely daft and not going to attract voters. I used to be LD but can't vote for such silliness.

I'm also the floating voter who won't vote Tory. Up to this time I've voted LibDem and have campaigned for them, but his stunts and the fact that meanwhile party workers on the ground are working their socks off, mean I'm thinking very hard about what to do this time. I'm thinking Green at present.

He did baking at a school, which I suppose is relatively normal. Still did it with an idiotic grin on his face though.

Today he's published a photo of how much he and his wife care for their son who has extra needs.

I'm very disappointed with him. I'm fed up with the Tories

Claims he was 'misled' into believing what he was told but he should have done the job he was paid for and investigated what he was told. He likes to pass the buck. Not my idea of a future PM.

I agree about the Post Office. Given that, I think he’s unfit to be an MP, never mind the PM.

I worry about his health after falling in Windermere. Badly polluted - Sewage leaks. Have a bit of dignity Davey.

If I cast my vote for a Lib Dem candidate this time around, I won't be voting for a party leader but for a candidate who - hopefully - is likely to be a good and caring representative of this constituency; a good record in local government would be an advantage. Ed Davey's silly stunts may have done incalculable damage to many such candidates. I'll try not to let him influence my vote.

If you're the leader of a minority party, getting any coverage on the media is next to impossible. Ed Davey is simply raising awareness. Yes, some of the stunts are a bit silly but not lacking understanding.
And tarring Ed Davey with a Post Office scandal brush is unfair. He met Alan Bates and queried the chiefs at the Post Office, only to be told lies. Other ministers during that administration had similar experiences.

He is making a right @rise of himself and the Lib Dems. I would be ashamed to be associated with just childish behaviour. We are voting for the future of our country and the legacy we leave to our children/ grandchildren. Instead of ridiculous stunts how about making sure we know what the Lib Dems stand for because I have no idea despite living in an area having Lib Dem local council. By the way, they are making a right hash of it.
