Nobody - unless you count my Jack Russsell.

A visit to the group allotment was cancelled because if the rain.

Aldom Thu 30-May-24 18:51:28

The bus driver.
My daughter over coffee and cake in JL.
The cashier in JL when I purchased a Shirt.
The bus driver.
The younger woman I sat next to on the bus. She was a visitor to the area and asked me for help with finding her stop. We chatted for 30 minutes.
My next door neighbour who happened to be outside as I returned home. Between us we worked out a plan to help a neighbour.
There are days when I speak to no one. I enjoy being with people. It's so uplifting.

The sainsbury delivery man, who is very chatty.

Next door about their new parquet flooring being installed.

The other neighbours after I delivered a box of chocolates as a thank you.

Next doors children who shouted to me asking me what I was doing 😄😄

The new specs people

The mouse who I transported to his new home, assuring him that he would be fine.

A dog walker friend who didn’t know about my little Duncan.

Now I’m slumped in front of the television (hopefully waiting for a cup of coffee) watching Heist with Timothy Spall.

Husband; receptionist, her assistant and consultant at the hospital. Two friends, I phoned one, the other called me, a different one called round and we took him out for a drink as he’s doing us favour. Chatted with at least six people in the pub, not a usual day.

BlueBelle Thu 30-May-24 18:39:47

Numerous people in the charity shop I volunteer in some for real chats, some just to point in the right direction, some to help
Plus some fun and laughs with the other volunteers
A shop assistant when I went for a sandwich
Then a neighbour and I had a long chat and a good laugh
I talk to loads of people everyday but I m quite happy to be fairly silent when I close my front door

No one! Usually I go to a meeting on thursday with at least 10 other people. Today the combination of back very painful, very windy cold day, and had enough things in , so that I did not have to go shopping. However was out last night and there were over 30 people there so its swings and roundabouts isnt it? I have had the radio for company and of course read much on gransnet. Fingers crossed that I shall be able to go out tomorrow and meet up with various people.

Research into so called Blue Zones indicates that connection is important.

Today, I spoke to a neighbour who was washing his car, an acquaintance in a charity shop, another neighbour who was closing her gate, somebody I haven't seen for years and my hairdresser.

Not bragging, there are days when its down to zero.
