Just that really. Seems that he went for a walk and hasn't returned.
He's ubiquitous on my various feeds. I've done the 5:2 and the 16:8.
Hope hes OK

I don't think it was an unpleasant post. So many people go out on boats, climbing mountaints trekking on rugged terrain without the proper equipment and have accidents and as I said before, it is then left to other people to start searching for them. Why would someone go out in 37oC heat on rocky terrain with just a bag and a brolly. Common sense is all that is needed.

Absolutely agree with you, he was totally foolhardy and his family are left bereaved as a result. We should learn from it, and I imagine from what l have read about him that would be exactly his advice. The calls for censorship of opinion on here leave a lot to be desired.

So terribly tragic and my heart goes out to his wife and family. I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that he decided to walk back to their accommodation alone as he felt a little unwell. It's possible that the heat (it is 40 plus degrees there) was getting to him and he became confused and dehydrated on what should have been a relatively short walk. He seemed such a kind and genuine man and will be greatly missed.

Such sad news. He was close to the beach and people.

I always watched his TV programmes and have done the intermittent fasting he promoted.

He will be very much missed by many people.

Hear, hear!

It is terribly sad for his family. We can perhaps relate to that feeling of euphoria when we arrive on holiday and take risks.

What an unpleasant post Dingleberry
Victim blaming on a public forum isn't pretty, whatever your personal feelings are. In many parts of the world, people go about their life every day in temperatures higher than those in Greece on the day Michael went missing. We have little accurate information about what happened on that day or what actually caused his demise and even when we do we have no right to judge. You should perhaps read his wife, Clare Bailey Mosley's public statement - there is a woman with grace and dignity in the face of loss and grief.

It is very sad, and he was obviously a much loved person, by those who knew him and those who only knew him from his programmes.
It is a sober reminder of how fragile and fleeting life is.

A very sad ending to this story .
My heart goes out to Michael Mosley's wife and children .

It illustrates just how horribly wrong a holiday can go .

My mother went on holiday with an old friend and her son .
She was a very strong swimmer and extremely athletic , but she refused to go snorkeling with the friend and her son .
She had a fear of the sea and the unknown .

After a while , mum was pacing up and down the beach calling for them .
Holiday makers joined her . The life guard was called .
They eventually emerged - pale , shaking and coughing up sea water several metres down from where they'd gone in having dived into some caves and got lost .

This story could have had a worse ending .

RIP Michael - we shall miss you . 💐

How very sad, for all.

So very sad and to be so close to the beach bar where he could have got some shade.

I'm so sad. He was one of my favourite TV docs having read all his books. A few weeks ago I rushed out and bought his wife's new recipe book after seeing them on TV demonstrating some recipes from it -'fast 800 treats'. His wife wrote it with him in mind as he had a sweet tooth. All natural wholesome ingredients. I enjoyed making some of the recipes, but now feel so sad looking through it. He's certainly left his legacy of his healthy lifestyle. I will really miss him, but condolences must go to his friends and family who will miss him more. RIP Michael Mosley xx

Sad news
So dreadful for his family.

RIP Michael Mosley

It seems he was found beside a fence so not in a cave. He was spotted by a cameraman from a boat offshore. He had visited the island previously. I think he has planned that walk and was headed for the bar on the small beach. Perhaps to rest there and take a boat for rest of trip back. This beach seems only accessible by sea unless by foot.

Such tragic news. What a sad end of life for someone who kept himself fit etc in the quest of a longer life.

RIP and thoughts to his family.

I, too, feel quite shaken by this news even though it wasn’t unexpected. Thank goodness they were able to find his body.

Such sad news. He gave so much to others and to die alone like this is horrid. May he rest in peace 🙏

This is awful news. I feel so sorry for his family. I enjoyed his books, his insights into health and practical down-to-earth approach.
