I was talking about his performance on the programme though Freya5. Did you hear him mention what Reform’s plans were at all, I’m happy to wind back and watch it again if you can tell me where he did?

I disagree. I thought Nigel being there was quite useful, lending a different perspective to proceedings.

No, I doubt he’ll get elected and shouldn’t think he wants to, but he made some valid points.

We just have to wait for the manifestos to see how all these proposed savings of billions will be made, everything ‘fully funded’ and ‘fully costed’.

After years of waiting for Labour’s comeback the programme pushed me towards Green with Lib Dem second and third a wish I lived in either Scotland or Wales.

I like Penny Mordaunt and I was pleased to see Angela Rayner and her shake hands at the end.

As for the policies of the five minor Parties, it doesn’t matter a fig, none of them will be in power.

Good to see Mordaunt and Rayner shaking hands as the credits rolled, but as a programne a waste of space.

I think most MP’s get on well with Mordaunt who usually comes across as pretty fair. I don’t think she performed very well, really lost her cool and kept lying about the £2,000. I’m glad that someone described Farage as a snake oil salesman because that’s exactly what he is.

(At least she didn't keep roaring at the audience to "Stand Up And Fight!" as she did at last year's party conference.)

I thought Blair had flair was quite funny.
I don’t think Penny Mordaunt has a wig on; I think she’s been to the hairdresser this afternoon and she’s got too much volume in her hairstyle and too much hairspray on.

Yes, I noticed Farage mentioned Blair several times, and you can bet your life there is method behind it. Is he playing on the fact that Blair is very unpopular with lots of voters and trying to draw a connection between him and the current Labour party?

Don’t know why so many people felt supercilious about this. Come on, it’s only a month after five years….

I watched the whole thing. I thought the most unexpected and cheering thing was the applause which greeted the statement by the SNP man that immigration should not be demonised, because Britain needs migrants. Counter arguments by Farage met with silence.

The questions were chosen to be mainstream and the answers predictable.
Penny Mordaunt started well but then got very angry and unappealing. Was surprised she harped on about the £200k again. Kept interrupting Angela Rayner.
Angela Rayner was disappointing. Got too bogged down in arguing with PM. A mistake I thought to have them next to one another like that - bound to make things worse, as it did.

So it was dominated by Tory and Labour. Would like to see a forum where the smaller parties could set out their policies.

Is that an excuse not to mention at all what your party’s policies are Calendargirl? All the other parties did, and they are important if you want people to vote for you. I just wonder if they exist, and I’m sure I’m not alone in that.

Well, the policies of anyone apart from Labour and Conservative are irrelevant as they won’t get a chance to implement anything.

Nigel is well aware of that.

What struck me on Farage was the same as Casdon, he didn't say what Reform policy was. At no point.

I felt it was a bit pointless as people say quick policy soundbites mostly attacking/defending nothing new.

I’m still not sure I learned much that’s new. I was impressed by Rhun ap Iorwerth, and delighted that both he and Stephen Flynn were truthful about the benefits of immigration, and the disastrous results of Brexit.

Since I can’t vote for either Plaid or the SNP, being impressed by them isn’t as helpful as it could be.

Casdon you’re right on Farage. I loathe him, disagree on everything -‘but I agree on so called low level crime. Didn’t an nyc mayor insist low level crime should be a prime focus. The result was it also lowered more serious crime

I’d have liked the facilitator to have intervened more to focus on questions

Farage was over-acting, and his facial expressions when other people were talking were hilarious. By the end I realised who it was he reminded me of - Mrs Slocombe. He really is a prime example of all mouth and no trousers.
