Were You WOWED! By Olivia Henson's Wedding Dress?

A very beautiful girl in a beautiful classuc dress .I like the shape .
I didn't like the blue shoes , but her choice .

I wish them every joy and happiness .

She looked lovely the dress was simple but perfect for her I expect, every Bride's dress shows their personality.
Her Blue Shoes, I liked her style on that. I read they cost around £350 but her new MiL shoes around £1500.

It was a Faberge tiara. She was happy with what she wore which is the important thing
Apparently they paid for the Chester in Bloom floral displays and bought everyone in the City yesterday an ice cream.
They are young and the richest people in the country. I wish them every happiness.

I'm not sure that it is anything to do with anyone else to scutinise this young woman on her wedding day. They certainly made a handsome.couple, the rest is down to personal choice.

The dress was very nice but didn’t wow me.
The tiara and veil on the other hand were gorgeous.
Wouldn’t have put the bridesmaids in those awful shoes though.

The dress was perfect on her, loved the blue shoes, love a little quirkyness, free ice cream, thoughtful gesture😀

It was a very classy dress, not what I would consider a WOW dress, but it was her dress. All brides have their own style, and it makes not one jot of difference what anyone else thinks about it. All that matters is that the bride feels wonderful in it. My daughter has recently chosen her own wedding dress, and I think she looks absolutely stunning in it. I'm sure there are some who would say they don't like the style, but we can't all like the same things can we? What a boring world that would be. And as long as my daughter loves it and feels amazing on her special day, that's all that matters.

I shoukd Google Olivia Henson because unlike the GN responses, all aware of her and what she wore, I have never heard of her, but wish her and new husband well as I wish all newly married couples.

Given the kind of wedding it was I suspect the dress was deliberately not a WOW dress.

Restrained elegance seemed to be the order of the day.

Simple, timeless and elegant. I liked it.

I thought the bride looked lovely, the dress looked elegant, but obviously not everyone feels the same.

Can you imagine, if she had worn a volumous crinoline number.......she would have taken flight like Mary Poppins! I quite liked the style of her dress - less is more as they say.

I thought it classically beautiful. Didn't like the shoes but her feet, she can wear what she wants on them 🙂

As I said upthread, I thought she looked lovely, and she loved it and that’s what matters.
However, I much preferred the dress the Princess of Wales wore on her wedding day. And even the dress Pippa Middleton wore. Neither were ostentatious, but both classic and beautiful.

I thought it was a beautiful dress, such a shame it was so windy which made the train and veil uncontrollable at points. Her flowers were gorgeous, garden flowers rather than a bouquet. The small bridesmaids also looked lovely in white, but the matron of honour’s dress reminded me of 1975 Laura Ashley, a lilac flowery number, which I didn’t like at all.

I think the woman in lilac was Emma Victoria Payne who designed the wedding dress.

That explains it thanks OldFrill, I did think it was an odd choice for a matron of honour.

I thought she looked lovely, but maybe the shoes were a little dark against the white. The Faberge tiara is beautiful.
I would have thought a red carpet more appropriate for entering and exiting the cathedral rather than MFI boarding as someone put it!

I like wedding dresses to be plain. Mine was.

Understated elegance is how I would describe the dress. I thought the bride looked stunning.

. I was also delighted to see my home town in the news for such a happy reason.

We used to have our school Carol Service and Commemoration Day service in Chester Cathedral so it brought back lots of memories.

My mother worked for the Duke of Westminster’s estate manager (the grandfather of the present Duke) and we lived in a tied cottage on the estate in the lovely, tranquil village of Eccleston. Happy days.

I didn't like the style of Princess Eugenie's dress, she needed a jacket in my opinion. Hat was nice.
