Been out and did a massive grocery shop , half put away , and I’m sitting here recovering
I’ve just made an order on line and had to use my card reader to verify the vast ( not ) sum spent , the numbers on the tiny screen nearly defeated me
I have another card I should have used , it recognises my face and verifies without this palaver !
It will be a snack lunch , I can’t be bothered cooking !

Its grey and wet at the moment here in brackley this morning.
My usual routine bus trip to Bicester ,which includes coffee and savoury or sweet snack then shop, and hopefully meet others I have got to know .
Returning to have lunch ,and later talk to friends on the phone .

I had to resort to asking my MP to intervene whilst dealing with the Scottish government energy loans scheme. It worked!!
I try to avoid on-line shopping. You have all my sympathy.
Good morning from East Lothian. The sky is grey but no rain so far. We are packing up and cleaning the flat and then we will be “on the road again”. We will stop somewhere overnight tonight - exactly where depends on what time we get away. I don’t know why there is so much to do 🤔.

Yet another cool, breezy and drizzly day - more like early autumn than early summer. It’s far too breezy to get into the garden at the moment, and I do have some jobs to do, but still they must wait.
What a palaver Marydoll. I’m one of those who wouldn’t have a clue of what to do.

Marydoll I was locked out of Outlook yesterday and it took three changes of password and over an hour to get back in. It’s so frustrating.
I too have a husband who ‘isn’t deaf’ but admits to a ‘slight’ hearing loss. He has hearing aid but will not wear them!!

Good night’s sleep thank heavens after the cramp filled Saturday night saga. I couldn’t get warm yesterday.
DD from the south here and DGD arrives tonight. We fly out to Ibiza with DS too tomorrow morning so final packing etc.

Good morning from a grey NE, torrential rain overnight battered my newly planted geraniums. Forecast is rain for the foreseeable future, heating kept coming on all day yesterday.
Nothing planned for today, just tidy round and then maybe read my book.

Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle where it has obviously rained during the night.
Yesterday, although it is still so cool my heating kicks in morning and night, I swapped my winter duvet for the summer one. I survived the night.
Today I'm supposed to go to Newcastle after lunch but I've woken with the onset of some infection which has been affecting my ears and balance. I'm think it would be best to cancel my appointment as I fear the train trip is going to make matters worse however many pills I take.
A totally awful day Marydoll, obviously you have nerves of steel! I hope it all gets properly sorted.

Good morning everyone from a Northampton which is bright and sunny, but only minutes ago was very cloudy and wet.
No yoga this morning as my knee is still not up to it,.but I shall pop to Sainsbury's for some new potatoes which I need for dinner tonight; shall have a coffee while I'm out.
Well what a day yesterday, the after party in town after our rugby win on Saturday. The winning squad toured the town in an open-top bus - the town was rammed, and being vertically challenged I missed some of what was going on. However being short and tiny had its advantages and I managed to wriggle my way through to the front and got some great pictures, including a selfie with the great Courtney Lawes! There was much singing, shouting and celenrations.
Met up with DD and DS-in-law afterwards, went to the pub for a drink till the town quietened down, then they gave me a lift home.
Hope Monday goes well for all.

Urms, I had already asked Virgin use the landline, however like DH, they don't listen! 
Off to Hampshire for three nights with DD and DSiL, with a visit to Jane Austen’s house this afternoon . Sunny morning but a dismal forecast so must pack something warm. Comfortable feet are the biggest challenge so elegance will be a non-starter. Not sure how accessible GN will be but will read even if I don’t post.
I’d give it him back once the Virgin debacle got sorted Marydoll! 😁

Good morning Michael and all GNs from a very wet South Yorkshire. I slept late this morning - unheard of for me. We had a lovely roast dinner here yesterday with DD, SiL and GS, but I have to admit it out of me these days. It was great fun though. GS told me a joke. The last time he told me a joke he was seven. “What’s brown and sticky, Nanny?” A: “a stick”. Now, ten years later, I’m not going to repeat the one he told me yesterday😁! Nothing on my agenda today. I have the camera set up on a tripod in the conservatory waiting for my goldfinches to bring their babies back to feed on my cornflowers, but there’s a sparrow hawk in the area so they may stay away.
Hope the twins pick up quickly, Bellasnanna.

Good morning from a very wet looking Suffolk where high winds are forecast for this morning along our strip of the coast….but calm so far. I haven’t yet read your posts but can see several long ones so I hope all well with all.
I’m meeting a dear friend for coffee this morning. We usually meet up every 10 days or so but we’ve both been away at different times and it’s over 3 weeks since we last met…..so today will be a mammoth catching up session. We can both chat for England.
Llfl, my pleas fall on deaf ears. 😤 There is nothing wrong with his hearing. It is everyone else's fault!!
However, I wouldn't swap him. 😍 ( Well perhaps sometimes.😉).

Strewth MD! I’m not surprised your blood pressure is through the roof! In your position I would not allow my OH anywhere near anything technical. I would also insist ( on pain of death) that he gets a hearing aid!
Good morning from the Essex coast where it is raining but doesn't feel cold.
We arrived home yesterday from our first weekend this year on the boat.
Saturday evening there were 14 of us for a meal in a pub in Burnham on Crouch. A nice relaxing weekend. A bit of drama on the way back yesterday as one of the boats overheated and had to be towed in.
All ended happily.
DH has a cold that has appeared from nowhere. I've left him in bed to sleep it off.
I too love the bracelets Baubles, both my daughters and 3 of my DGD's are going to see Taylor Swift in August, much excitement already.
I hope your DGS'S improve Bellasnana, poor little mites.

My restful day yesterday turned out to be anything but.
DD appeared unexpectedly early morning with strawberry plants for me. 😍 I had mentioned that I needed more,but didn't feel up to going out. She is so thoughtful.
Despite me having asked DH *not to put his phone on silent, he informed me that he had a missed call from Virgin Media (obviously about my unacessible email account.) I asked him to go into his voicemail and I would listen to the message,
He accidently deleted it. 😡
Although he didn't deserve it 😉, I decided to look for some books on underground war tunnels (prompted by Mizuna's son's adventures) for his forthcoming birthday.
I eventually bought one on Ebay, only to find I was locked out of PayPal. I had changed my account details, due to the email fiasco. (Thank you Virgin!), Six codes later, a number of password changes sent to various devices, before I was able to pay.😡
This was despite PayPal telling me they had recognised my device and knew it was me!!
The day descended in angst filled chaos. I was out watering my tomato plants, when I thought I heard a phone ringing. Going into the kitchen, there was nothing from the kitchen phone, (turned out it was dead), but I could still hear ringing.
I made it to the living room, just as Virgin Media (yes them again), were hanging up.),
Of course they would only speak to DH, (alias the Scarlet Pimpernel) as the account holder, who was nowhere to be seen.
I begged the lady not to hang out, until I found him.
An hour long phone call with no resolution and with my BP through the roof, I asked for the call to be escalated and to speak to a manager. The agent kept asking for an alternative email address to send a reset link. I said I had previously given a Gmail mail address, but something had gone wrong at their end and they couldn't use it., she said. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬
She insisted I had a third email account and I should use that. I refused, saying I could not use my secure Diocesan one for personal use.
You will need to make a new email address, otherwise I can't help you. At this point I lost the plot.
I gave in and said that I would like her to stay on the line and I would make one there and then. That didn't work, because I was now locked out of my Microsoft account, which had been working earlier in the day. At first she denied being in it, then said I had agreed to that.
At this point I had lost the will to live. She said someone would phone today, once I had reset my Microsoft account. I insisted that someone call back within the hour.
One hour later, DH received another call on his mobile, he accidently cut the agent off. 😤
Fortunately, the agent had the wit to call the landline, which I answered. After yet another hour long discussion, failed attempts at using my fourth email address, being logged into my PC, phone and tablet at the same time, with numerous windows open, umpteen codes sent to various devices and a ruined steak Diane Sunday dinner, I got back into my email accounts, where 189 emails were waiting to be read.
It got me thinking. How do people with little IT knowledge manage. DH is reasonably IT literate, but said he did not have the skills and couldn't have done what I had to do. How many people just give up?
My other concern is that Virgin can access our Microsoft account if necessary. I will need to contact the Diocesan IT team, because I am now locked out of that account, it is linked to Microsoft and so secure, only they can reset passwords.
Huge sigh.
I will now go back and read your news, once I have had some pain relief.
The sun has come out, hopefully a good sign.

Yesterday I staked up the tomatoes, sowed some more carrots and generally pottered outside, no luck in the pub meat draw.
Today I’m back on the voluntary phone after a couple of weeks off, quiz tonight, I’ll be wrapped up.

Good morning Mick and all from sunny Lancashire, currently 9°C.
I awoke at 4:30am, as I often do these days, needing the bathroom. I just got back into bed, leaned back against my pillow, closed my eyes’ and enjoyed the birdsong until it was time to take the first of my many daily meds. . I didn’t turn my iPad or iPhone on as I need to keep screen time down for the sake of my eyes.
Lots of ‘phone calls to make today as there are various minor (I hope!) jobs that need doing about the house. Neither MrB nor I are up to climbing ladders these days. I had the conversation with my financial adviser a few weeks ago Oops and now I’m working out how much it will all cost. I hope it’s not too frightening!

Good morning from a wet W Kent. A nice surprise yesterday when DD2 turned up for a chat to pass the time before collecting DGD2 from her waitressing job at a local hotel. A good chat to DB followed which took me to lunchtime. Nodded off in the afternoon. Today my lovely cleaner should appear not sure if we will get a walk in.
