A tricky meeting. Followed by hopefully, something nice.

Rowantree Tue 18-Jun-24 08:23:28

Dental hygienist, then gardening and later photographing some Kettlewell and Seasalt clothes to sell. Long overdue! Reading and workout also on my list for today.

RosesandLilac Tue 18-Jun-24 08:12:30

So far I have cleaned and tidied the bathroom, toilet and bedrooms, started on the living room, the kitchen is next.
One load of washing on, two more to go.
Dog has the dog walker today, I want to sit outside in the sunshine later.
Trying to get DH to clear his stuff from the dining room table, we can never use it because he uses it instead of the ‘office’’ he insisted was his that’s full of his cr@p 🤬. He’s never used it!

harrigran Tue 18-Jun-24 08:05:45

I intend to have a relaxed day reading my novel and maybe write my shopping list for tomorrow.
Weather still not good enough for sitting in the garden.

LucyAnna2 Tue 18-Jun-24 07:32:02

Forecast to be sunny today, so hopefully spending time in the garden, which has got pretty overgrown recently! Then meeting a friend for lunch in a nearby NT place. Picking up GDs from school later.

Oh, and spent a hour at least setting up the new portable radio bought for DH on Father’s Day for allotment use. He specifically requested one an idiot could set up and use. Very wise - we couldn’t even work out whether or not it was rechargeable. blush

most amusing... I completely agree with him..

Washed the bedding and got it dry outside, hurrah!

Did lots of the latest jigsaw I’m checking for our local charity Jigsaw Festival (it’s an ongoing project).

Sorted out the chaos when DH balanced a pair of shears at the top of the cellar steps and they plummeted down, taking with them a dozen bottles and cans from the steps.

Brought the family Euro 24 sweepstake spreadsheet up to date. They’ve put me in charge, it keeps me out of mischief.

Walked to town for a few bits of shopping and a new electric toothbrush. I spent so long comparing Superdrug’s offerings they probably had me down as a potential shoplifter.

The till assistant asked the man in front of me where his wife was. In the car right outside, he replied. Oh yes, said the assistant. Look at her sitting there like Lady Godiva! Every pair of eyes in the queue snapped to the left to look. It was disappointing - I think she may have meant to say Lady Muck.

Walked dog before work, then work (I'm here now but it's slow), then another walk, and bring some cans and bottles to a friend that collects them for charity.

DH is out fishing for a few days with a friend, so it's just me and the dog. She misses him, as I'm not half as fun.

Changed the bed linen on a couple of beds.
Tidied up the house a bit after weekend family visits
Put some washing on the line, because miraculously it isn't raining today!
Did some ironing
I took a couple of books back to the library, and picked up one I've ordered.
Went to the gym
Relaxing this afternoon in the garden with a book before I start our dinner preparations.

HowVeryDareYou2 Mon 17-Jun-24 15:38:57

Put some washing on the line
Tidied the kitchen
Cleaned the bath and washbasin
Had a Physiotherapy assessment
Got a few things from Asda
Wrapped presents for GD1's birthday on Thursday and BabyGD's birthday next Wednesday
Made a shepherd's pie

Taichinan Mon 17-Jun-24 13:09:52

Yay! Completed my Vehicle Tax and Driving Licence renewal forms!! Now I can go and feed the fish and then have my lunch with a clear conscience. After that, I know not what - probably not a lot!

Purplepixie Mon 17-Jun-24 11:44:57

Done the shopping and then going to bingo. Have a great day!

nanaK54 Mon 17-Jun-24 11:33:56

Three loads of washing out on line, fourth in the machine now, need to make the most of a dry day (well, finger's crossed it's a dry day).

Bed changed and bedroom dusted.

I should be doing some admin, but instead I am on here!

Youngest grandchildren to be collected from school later and they will eat with us this evening.

Mollygo Mon 17-Jun-24 11:10:19

Aquafit, coffee with co-exercisers, then home to hang out washing. The sky looks ominous but the weather forecast says only 28% chance of rain so I’m going to risk it. If it’s warmer in the car than in the house we may put the heating on for a hour.

Parsley3 Mon 17-Jun-24 11:06:36

Another one waiting for the washing machine to do its stuff. Not sure if it is going to rain again but if not I will walk into town to look for holiday clothes in M&S. Then another go at rabbit proofing the garden this afternoon.

harrigran Mon 17-Jun-24 10:10:14

I have the washer on and will spend the day washing and ironing.
At some point I will go to the study and read my emails and do any admin work that needs to be done.

merlotgran Mon 17-Jun-24 10:09:38

Just waiting for the washing machine to finish so I can get it all on the line before doing an Aldi shop. Everything’s late this morning because it took me over an hour to get through to the Gp surgery to try and make an appointment and I still don’t know if I actually have one!
Never mind! The sun is shining and there’s a spring in my step that definitely wasn’t there yesterday. 😂

winterwhite Mon 17-Jun-24 09:53:00

Putting the house back together after family visitors over the w/e, incl finding the bread knife. Walk. Sit in sun.

Mizuna Mon 17-Jun-24 09:46:24

I'm on a bus to the north coast of Cornwall (from the south coast, so not far).

RosesandLilac Mon 17-Jun-24 07:31:29

Not a lot planned for today, probably a bit of gardening after walking the dog then I hope to sit in the sun with a book and enjoy the sunshine 😎

LucyAnna2 Mon 17-Jun-24 07:29:50

Hoping for the forecast better weather today, as I plan to try and sort out the garden today - everything is very overgrown! Meeting a friend for tea and cake this afternoon.

HowVeryDareYou2 Sun 16-Jun-24 16:33:48

Son1, hs 2 girls and his GF came round with Faher's day gifts and card for my husband. We all went out for a couple of drinks then to a different place for a late lunch. They've jus t left.

RosesandLilac Sun 16-Jun-24 15:58:58

So far I have walked the dog early, made a Victoria sponge and a lemon cheesecake, cooked a roast dinner and knitted 2” of the first sock of a pair. I have deadheaded the roses and after I finish my cold drink I will take the dog out again.
I want to give myself a manicure and pedicure later, both of which are badly needed!

TerriBull Sun 16-Jun-24 14:59:21

Children and grandchildren here for father's day. We're having roast beef later with all the accompaniments, a father's day cake made by moi with berries and ice cream. Did manage to snatch some time with the Sunday papers earlier over a late breakfast.
