Not bought for the football but I did buy another tv so I DIDNT have to watch sport all the time! That involves football, golf , rugby, darts etc etc etc…….

No, but we will be in Lanzarote for the last ten days of it including the final.
Husband and son have already been discussing which sports bar to watch the various matches in, and no doubt the wall planner with all the fixtures will be in the suitcase.

If any spectator sport is on, I make it my business to be out of the room, I particularly can't stand all the commentary by pundits, worse than the actual sport imo, Back to the original question absolutely not.

My normal size tv will be fine to watch and I do intend to watch some of the games . I’ll be scouring the fans in the hope of spotting my son in law and grandson who are setting off from Edinburgh airport tomorrow with the tartan army . A special dad and son trip for them.

I hope watching the football matches will be light relief from the election conversations. Fortunately Sky Tv isn’t required to watch the football as I wouldn’t want to experience the deprivation suffered by Rishi Sunak in his early life when his family couldn’t afford Sky 🙄

Maybe it is those that do not want to watch the football so need two TVs.

In fact what with the football, Wimbledon and the Olympics plus various others sports events, I doubt I will watch much tv all summer whatever size screen they are on.

We still had a big box telly in 2012 so did buy a nice flat screen set in order to watch the London Olympics.
We paid cash and I remember the young assistant was a bit flustered counting the notes even then -as though he’d not seen real money before😺. It’s still going strong 12 years later.

Saw a chap yesterday in Tesco, with a massive tv,maybe his other one had broken, but if just for a footie Match, wouldn't waste my money.

I can understand the value of 2 TV's in the house if anyone is sports obsessed.

Thankfully DH has as much - or as little interest in watching sport as I do. Our sport is grabbing the zapper when sport comes on and turning it off.

I've bought 2 Samsung 55 inch tv's in the last fortnight because the 2 LG tv's started playing up. However it has nothing to do with football or any form of sport. Bought both online direct from Samsung so was never asked if I was planning on watching the footie but got a £300 trade in for each of the old ones.

Absolutely watching the football everyday with husband, it’s the Euros and you do not need pay to view to watch it. We also watch the Rugby Six Nations too, we like sport. My husband and I both played pétanque (French boule) internationally and represented Great Britain, now we just play for fun as joints don’t like too much standing and walking back and forth. I’m certainly not one for watching soaps or anything like it.

Tennis & football are more enjoyable to watch on a bigger screen though - I mostly watch netflix on my laptop (as DH likes darts, grand prix, rugby, cycling & when is there not some sport on?) but I couldn't watch football on the laptop.Didn't get a new TV though.
