Dental appointment was not too ouchy. Mr Soop is at this moment having his wounded scalp freshly dressed. We will be seeing the oncologist tomorrow. I am hoping that she may change the oestrogen suppressants. After which, lunch with our Baggs.

Our friendly neighbour will be power-washing the paving stones in our absence. We have also had a visit from the gardener who has been making a noticeable difference to the overgrown areas. He will return next week.

I shall report back to you on Friday. My very best wishes to you all.

Hello kitchen people.

I hope everyone is enjoying the heat. I have to admit that I find it difficult. I used to be fine but over the last few years I prefer slightly cooler weather.

I had to drive to our nearby town to collect a dress that I had altered - my DD bosom was overflowing so the seamstress sewed it up the neckline a bit! It was so hot - my car thermometer read 29 degrees!

We are out for dinner tonight. The restaurant is an old and cool building.

Dear Soop I hope all goes well with your appointments. My OH has several hospital visits lined up concerning several parts of his body!

I saw this amazing plant the other day in a park in Westminster. I’d love it in my garden but fear it’s too enormous.

Good afternoon kitchen pals, it’s warm and muggy here in Inverness
I’m just back home from a really enjoyable lunch get together with all the volunteers. It’s the first one I’ve been to but it’s an annual event as a thank you for all our time over the last year. There were a couple of ladies that got 15year awards too!
Im pleased to say that DH is a bit better today, the antibiotics seem to have kicked in and at least he’s eating a bit. We’ve tickets to see DGD singing in Joseph Technicolour Dreamcoat tonight at Eden Court so fingers crossed he’ll be ok to go too. I’ll do the driving so he just needs to tag along and stay awake!
Enjoy your Sauvignon Blanc ann you deserve it, good to hear you’ve been out and about on your scooter today too. I do visiting my mum in Stockport, we often went to Lyme Park or Tatton Park for a day out - happy memories

Hi kitcheners, phew, it’s still 27 here and humid. After some essential household chores I’ve been playing opening and closing of windows and blinds, dependent on where the sun is. A couple of phone calls and some online updating of groceries and banking has been my lot, cold lager here ann cheers 🥂.

I may be going into hospital next week for a procedure to drain my lung. I was hoping I would come out the following day but that seems to have been very optimistic and I’m looking at several days. Not looking forward to it without DH to support me.

Doodle, I hope your procedure goes well next week, these things are so much harder to cope with without the support of a loving partner. Soop, good that your dental procedure wasn’t too much of an ouch, and hope that mr soop’s visit to the oncologist is encouraging! Enjoy your lunch with Baggs, you deserve a treat.
Another hot and humid day here, I used to love the heat, but can’t cope with it now. 23 degrees is fine for me.

soop I shall be interested to hear what your oncologist says. I was supposed to have an appointment on Tuesday but she cancelled as she was ill.

A flying visit as I sit with face pack on.. It's been a frantic few days. Little pup was poorly but was seen to perk up as soon as I handed my debit card over to the vet for £101 to be debited. The first Communion children were just lovely ...it was a beautiful day... But both DOH and I were a bit cross that nobody offered to help with the parish BBQ later that afternoon. I was struggling with the pain if I'm honest. Sunday I probably should have rested but another of the raised beds had been completed so I felt compelled to fill it..... Then MIL to be burst into tears when we told her that we had changed the civil ceremony to a marriage as she thought she was going to miss out again. ( DOH got married in Las Vegas ( yuk) last time and nobody could go). We explained that this was a tick box exercise only but the upshot of it all is they arrived yesterday. In between time I'm working for Electoral Services and hence why I'm sitting here at 7 25am with a coconut and something mask on hoping I'll emerge looking all young and dewy ( no hope) when I get married in two and a half hours time. As Miranda's Mother would say....such fun darling.

Hope you get a wee breeze with that heat, Jaxjacky! We've had muggy, cloudy weather lately, what we call 'close'. As if thunder isn't far away...

Today I'm at DS3's home, waiting for the Smart meter team to arrive... I may be some time so I've brought my white vinegar weedkiller spray, I'll do some tidying up around his driveway and borders. 15 degrees and very cloudy... I've also brought my kindle in case rain stops play!!!
