I did not expect to be on the move before the weekend, how wrong I was.

Luckily I made a fair amount of Hun's soup for all to enjoy. I called it that because the person who gave me the recipe only ever called me Hun. It is mushroom and carrot but it has a mild "kick" to it, you have been warned.

I doubt if Sweetie Pie appreciates the lovely food provided.

I do not pray but a few of you are in my thoughts.

I hadn’t come across life in a hospice when my husband was ill. The nurses from a hospice at home really helped. I can empathise with a lot of you. Talking helps so keep going

Such a lovely new Kitchen, bright and shiny! Thank you, Soop. (I’m glad Sweetie pie put in an appearance.)

I’m afraid I am a poor correspondent right now but that doesn’t mean I don’t think of you all. The house repairs have begun and it’s been hugely disruptive so I don’t have much time to myself atm. We’re trying to settle into a new routine of glamping in our house as we’d rather be here than in a hotel.

Fortunately the cats seem unphased, though as they now have an entire bedroom as a boudoir they should be very happy! Here’s a photo of one of them who squeezed down behind my dressing table mirror, taking advantage of being allowed in our bedroom, which is normally out of bounds to them.

Always a safe haven. I too often sneak in and sit in the comfy chair in the corner.

I’m just going to sit in the corner and enjoy the company. NannyG this is the best place to get support and understanding.

NannyG4 we are here to listen and to hug, albeit virtually. Never worry about having to share your problems.

I am always sitting in corner quietly or looking through the window keeping an eye on you.

Visited my DH in hospice, they are now talking about moving him into a nursing home... He's too young 😭😭, never thought he'd end up like this... My heart is broken.
I am concerned that I'm dominating this thread with my woes but it just helps me to offload, sorry.

Thank you soop a hearty veg and lentil soup from me, it’s chilly, with fresh wholemeal rolls to dunk.

A fresh from the oven quiche, some mixed salad and a bottle of fizz added to the feast. I’d love to enjoy a sit down but must rush. Thank you for the new kitchen soop.

I'll bring slow cooked ragout for the meat eaters. And I'll happily do the virtual dishes.

There is a 3-layer blackberry and lemon cake on the side. I’d recommend a whirl of whipped cream with it.

Hello shiny new kitchen.Need to sit in a quiet corner and enjoy the view.

Hello! I have some farmhouse Lancashire cheese from a local cheese maker, plus some olive and black pepper flatbreads. Dig in, I shall settle myself on this cosy chair by the wood burner 😊

A buffet you say.....I've got some hot chocolate to warm us up.☕️

Fresh baked doughnut muffins on a posh plate ( ooh) and some cheese and chive scones for savoury lovers..to help the new kitchen celebrations get underway. Enjoy
