Oh, it was awful. Collecting eggs in a chicken barn, in the heat of the summer when I was a teenager. It was tremendously hot, stinky and noisy. When the owner changed my pay rate from hourly to piecework, I almost cried. The think is, the time it took to go around the aisles was the same no matter how many dozens there were, so it was just a way to pay me less on some days. My mother called them to give them a piece of her mind... I think I was about 14 at the time. Plus I had to ride my bike to the farm, which was about 3 miles away.
