Oh Lordy, half our town would be in arrears. We had a commercial building burn down in our town a few years ago, and the standing burnt corpse of the building sat with a fence around it for over a year while the owner waited to settle with the insurance company. It would never fly, unless it was a very upscale town.

Good luck with that idea 😂
You don’t get fined for shop lifting.
On a serious note what if you do have a very overgrown/ rubbish strewn garden and have no transport or money to pay someone to take it away. 🤷‍♀️

And what will happen if you’re having building work or a garden refurb and you’re front garden is full of bags of cement or paving slabs etc

Who would decide if your garden is neat enough? One person's mess is another's wildlife haven.

my husband would agree with you grin

I have just watched an American video
What do you think of households being issued fines if your garden front is not kept clean and tidy I think it's a good idea
