Good morning from cool s somerset with rain again later

There is a short window of dryness, if I go out then I will have to start by 9. Must get out for a bit today

Certainly it is colder and I have reverted back to a woollen dressing gown, I have a variety of dressing gowns and use them all. This woollen one is generally for the start of autumnal weather. Even my kefir is taking its time to mature because of the temperature

No plans for today but I am hoping that a project evolves to make the day positive

Good morning from a very wet corner of La Sarthe. One very soggy moggy greeted me when I opened the door earlier!

The poor race goers at Le Mans aren’t having much fun! Nor the drivers who are currently following a safety car around the circuit.

Good morning from a bright ish Bristol. It is still pretty chilly but supposed to be improving. What I have found the worst had been the biting wind though, oddly, it dies down completely every time we have had heavy showers.

Most of the usual suspects came to church coffee in the morning. I watched the tail end of the magnificent Trooping of the Colours when I came home; it was wonderful to see the Princess, with her extremely well behaved young children.

I cu5 out and started to sew a small quilt for the demented husband of my late neighbour. Their daughter gave me her mother’s fabrics, so I’m using them to jog his memory.

Church this morning then pottering, sewing, etc. Might sit outside this afternoon if it’s sunny/warm.

Good morning, another damp start to the morning here in south Glos, pretty chilly too at 7°.
I did little yesterday other than sit and watch the Trooping of the Colour and knitting a sock, I just didn’t feel particularly well. I know I completely overdid it last week but no choice so 🤷🏼‍♀️
The dog and I got rather wet on our late afternoon walk, so I had an early shower and sat in bed reading to warm up. Rather nice actually!
Today another quiet day, I want to make a cake and I will do a roast dinner I think.
I hope today goes well for you all 🌹

I resorted to digging out my winter trousers and thicker fleeces yesterday, absolutely ridiculous for June 🙄

Good morning from a chilly South Downs, although the forecast is for it to improve. Yesterday was like autumn, most unpleasant.

I did very little yesterday because of the weather, so I must shake myself today. I shall sow some forget me not seeds (for Duncan’s garden) and white digitalis of which I have two sorts - a common pure white one and one called Pams choice (I think) white with a dark red throat. If they are successful I shall plant them amongst the ferns and cow parsley.

I must also trot out with my DHs spare veg plants to a family we have been helping.

It is Father’s Day today, and DD said she’d pay Dad a visit after choir so that will be a nice chat. DS is away in the Adriatic somewhere.

Church this morning at the tiny church in the middle of nowhere for a Book of Common Prayer service.

I started preparing a Yotum Ottelengi recipe last night, for today’s dinner. There were so many ingredients that I had to pop to the shops. Basically it’s shoulder of lamb slathered in a paste which I whizzed up in the food processor. It has been sitting in the fridge over night. Four or five hours in the oven. I’ll probably make strawberry crumble and cream for pudding.

Good morning from South Lanarkshire. I think it’s dry for the moment.

Yesterday I stayed out of the rain and made more bracelets for my granddaughters to wear at the concert on Friday, I think they’ll be pleased but I’ve definitely had enough of beads for a while.

DD is meeting us for lunch in what used to be our favourite local cafe. A change of ownership has somewhat changed the vibe, something is missing now although the food is still good as the kitchen staff remain the same.

Good morning from Malta where it is going to reach 32°C again. (Sorry).

I managed to get a lot done yesterday, cleaning outside was quite a task and I wish the Sahara had not been quite as generous with its deposits!

I cleaned through the flat and got the laundry done before going over to watch the boys at 5pm as their parents had a wedding to attend. They didn’t get back until 1am by which time I was struggling to stay awake, but the boys were angels and gave me no trouble at all.

I so enjoyed the Trooping the Colour and I cried when I saw the Princess of Wales. She looked so lovely but heaven knows what it must have taken her to be present with all eyes upon her. She is just two days older than my DD1.

I ought to get up and start on my patio furniture while the sun is off the front of the building, but I’m feeling rather idle.

Mass at 11.30 after which the usual FaceTime chat with my friend in Leicester (she’s actually from Bristol originally) and there’s some tennis to watch later.

I was chatting to my neighbour yesterday who told me she will be moving out as her marriage is over. I feel so sad as they have always seemed such a lovely young couple and have been so kind and helpful to me.

Sorry to hear you haven’t been feeling 100% Mick, also hope you feel better today RosesandLilac.

Good morning from a bright but drizzly Oxfordshire.

I haven’t been able to do much lately, MissOops can’t stand the smell of food so it’s been salads and more salads, she hasn’t been sick for 24 hours, still nauseous though, but on the mend at last, she had one of the Aldi wraps, we’ve reported it, but as she refused to go to A &E not much more we can do, anyway she’s getting better and that’s the main thing,

MrOops is still unwell and has to go for tests.

On the bright side MzOops and GS will be here this evening on their way to London tomorrow. The house will be full!

The heating is on so at least we are warm.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a quite bright South Yorkshire. Whether the sun will stay out is anyone’s guess! Yesterday was mostly wet and when DS and DiL came we were confined to the conservatory where the conversation was all about their upcoming holiday. They are understandably very excited. Nothing much planned for today except some batch cooking for the freezer and a walk to blow the cobwebs.

Good morning everyone from a very changeable Northampton, a mixture of sunshine and cloud, with more showers forecast later this morning.

It was a wet bus journey to Milton Keynes yesterday morning, but once there everything is undercover so I had an enjoyable shopping day with a nice pasta lunch (and). I came home with blue linen trousers and a dress (which wasn't on my list!)

I have no plans at all for today; will just read the papers, watch some tv and continue with my book. Easy dinner tonight of steak and baked potato (with another ...)

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s raining. Yesterday turned out to be an unexpected dry sunny day so I got quite a bit done in the garden

Today we’re watching DGD in her dance show, she’s a bit worried though as she missed quite a few of the recent rehearsals as she was poorly - I hope she’s going to be ok later and doesn’t get upset. I’m also looking forward to a facetime call with DS this morning and catching up on all his news

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10° and raining. I believe it has to be wet all morning, so no gardening for me.
Mick I'm sorry to hear that you are under the weather still. Oops poor MissOops. It sounds rather horrible for her. RosesandLilac I hope you feel better soon too.
Yesterday I met up with my friend for breakfast. Her daughter came too which was no hardship as she's easy company. It also meant I didn't need to give my friend a lift home. Our breakfast wasn't quite as nice as usual. It tasted as if it had been sitting for a while. Afterwards, I decided not to have lunch as I was meeting another friend at two. I'm glad I didn't eat because the treacle scones was massive! I'm thinking of you Scapa. I couldn't finish it. When I came home, I blethered to my neighbour for a bit then had Cajun chicken pasta for dinner. Yesterday was all about food! A quiet night spent watching tv.
Today I will have to go to Aldi for food. Then later I'll visit mum. I'll roast a gammon and that'll do a few days. Have a good day all.

Good morning from cloudy Colchester. Another day of sunshine and showers. It's not been too cold here and will reach 20° today. The wind and sudden heavy downpours have beheaded a lot of my flowers.
No plans here except for roast chicken and the England match later.

We sang at our village Party in The Park yesterday but had to wait for the torrential rain to stop so we could be heard.

Today we expect a visit from DS2 who is bringing us some tomato plants - hope we can keep them alive. He is a really keen veg gardener so the pressure will be huge!!

Good morning from Cambridgeshire where the weather forecast looks a bit more positive and dare I say temperatures look to be increasing a little, fingers crossed.

We are planning a BBQ today as DD2 and boyfriend are coming round as it is Father’s day. She is working the night shift tonight so we will do it at lunchtime. The GC are with their dad and we will miss them they love a Grandad BBQ.

Later I hope to potter on the garden. I have a new agapanthus to go in and a hydrangea. Still not done my hanging baskets but on the agenda this coming week.

This week is looking a busy one so will enjoy time at home today.

Morning from sunny S Hants, yesterday was hefty showers that yet again knocked the garden about. We are out to see my daughter for lunch later, she’s cooking for Fathers Day.
I’m pleased MissOops is slowly improving, she’s had a rough time.

Yesterday evening was so cold that I took a hot water bottle to bed and very welcome it was. Today looks cold too so back to winter clothes I think. Church service in the next village, Sunday paper and not a lot else planned but at least it’s dry at the moment. Hope the wind remains gentle because we have baby goldfinches trying their wings and yesterday’s gale force wind was too much for them.

Good morning from the NE where we had heavy overnight rain. Forecast is for thunderstorm this afternoon.
Had a lovely afternoon and evening with DS and GD2, she did her homework then spent the rest of the day making bracelets. It is a project at school, they have to create a business and market their product.
Quiet day today with no cooking, chicken salad for dinner.

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 11°C.

Sorry to hear that some of you are unwell. Hoping that Miss Oops starts to feel better , is over the worst and that Scalpal condition begins to improve.

Tonight, Dollie is staying overnight (her parents are at a wedding) and we have to also do the school run tomorrow.
There was a bit of a problem, because DS2 gave me tickets, as a birthday gift, for a candle lit concert of James Bond music in Paisley Abbey tonight.
He never asked if I was free , but because he and DIL are also going and DD is unable to look after Dollie, we had a problem.
However, DIL managed to get an additional ticket, so Dollie is coming too.
Unfortunately DH is unwell and I felt awful yesterday,
once the biologics were in my system. I'm hoping we will both feel better as the day goes on. I am used to feeling unwell, but DH is very sorry for himself. 😉

Morning Mick, morning All. Our corner of Somerset is sunny at the moment, still windy but good to see a blue sky

Watched Trooping the Colour yesterday morning, loved it but what a shame the downpour came. Too windy for the sea front in the afternoon so a wander to a garden centre where I became deaf to Mr C muttering and where will you put that. A beautiful fuchsia came home with us and of course there was somewhere to put it. Just needed a small reorganisation.

Table booked for lunch today, not sure what else. See how the day unfolds.

Good morning from a calm bright Suffolk after some sun yesterday interspersed with sudden torrential rain. It felt very tropical.

A quiet day today after what has been a very busy week. I hope I can sit in the summerhouse with the newspaper and it be warm enough to leave both doors and a couple of windows open. Mid June I expect this ut sadly not this year. I now take an umbrella with me in case it is raining when I want to come inside.

Hope today is the best possible for all.
