What an excellent idea.

Thanks for all the positive messages. To answer a few of the questions, there are just over 1700 shops that accept the card today but we're adding more shops all of the time and expect the network to more than double this year.

We do charge charities a fee for accepting the card but we are a not for profit ourselves with the majority of our profits being converted into gift cards and donated to foodbanks, refuges and other support agencies.
We're part owned by the Charity Retail Association (which is owned and operated by charity retailers).

That is a great idea. I love a charity shop bargain. Not all charities are signed up, unfortunately.

We have some excellent charity shops locally, but the nearest that voucher is valid is the Sally Ann 35 miles away.

Super to know - thanks katek. Also wondering if such a thing would be of use to give to homeless people - I currently only do Greigs vouchers when I can get them for a bite for them to eat.

What a great idea. I love a charity shop browse and DH gets and recycles his books in there. I’ve checked the post code and the nearest ones to me are the local hospice stores. DH noticed when passing that the closest one had a To Let sign on the property so I hope it isn’t closing. Shame if it is the staff are so friendly and prices very reasonable.

What a brilliant present. I love charity ships, always have done. We have wonderful ones in our town. I always find lovely clothes that are almost new or sometimes even have the tags still on them.
My think that my son is embarrassed that l shop in them but l think it's ridiculous that he pays £100.00 for a t shirt. Crazy money in my opinion.
A voucher for charity shops would be my ideal present.

Only two charities take them here. St. Giles and Sense.

Never heard of them, but what a brilliant idea!
Both my dds buy most of their clothes in charity shops - dresses etc. that look brand new for a fraction of the new price.

Meant to say, there are quite a few local charities as well as national ones such as Sense, Shelter, YMCA, Marie Curie etc. local ones seem to be mainly hospices and animal welfare charities.
