Good morning from a bright Bristol. Yes, there are a few clouds but no rain is forecast.

I had a lovely hour in the sun chatting to other residents in our communal garden, yesterday afternoon. It was so relaxing after the noise of the toddler group in the morning.

Today I’m accompanying a neighbour to hospital; her daughter is in France. We have become good friends, looking out for each other.

May today bring only sunshine in your lives - physical and metaphorical. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning, a lovely sunny start here too in south Glos.
The summerhouse construction is going well, it’s going to be a lovely garden room when it’s finished, fully insulated etc. I did little yesterday apart from dog walking because I felt rather odd all day, most strange.
Today I Will catch up on homework etc then enjoy the sunshine.

Good morning Mick and all who follow from a dry north Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 coast where some sheep have escaped and are busy enjoying the delights of every garden in the street 🤬 I’d trot out and shoo them away but I’m still in my negligee dressing gown!

Sad to read of Oops and Gingsters unwell loved ones 💐 to all with worries on that score. Haven’t seen Susan posting for a while but lovely to see Taichinan and Numnum back - we all like a break occasionally🙂

Well PGTowers is top hatted with its new roof and scaffolding gone, just the skip to be magicked away and you’d never know they’d been - I do like an efficient workman 😂

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. The sun is well and truly up in South Yorkshire and it’s going to be a warm one. When could we last say that? The gardener came yesterday and dug out the front bed which I intend to replant asap, but it needs to settle and I must buy something to cover it or all the cats in the neighbourhood will use it as a toilet - one has been in there already😕. I had a young male sparrow hawk in the garden yesterday, so there are feathers to be cleaned off the lawn. Got some great photos while he was feeding though. Ironing basket to tackle this morning and then volunteering this afternoon.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. It feels like it might be warm!

Hairdresser this morning in our nearby town. I’ll then drive to Oxford and have some lunch before meeting the U3A Art History group. We are going to one of the Oxford colleges for a private viewing of a collection of Duncan Grant (Bloomsbury Group) paintings.

In the meantime OH will be doing bee related things.

Good morning from an overcast Sarthe with rain forecast. Yesterday we were able to sit out for a couple of hours as it was warm.

An early start for DH who has already left for a blood test in Le Mans. The local service isn’t able to deliver the sample quickly enough to the clinic for analysis, unfortunately. He hopes to avoid the worst of the rush hour traffic.

I’m looking forward to a mobile (hands free) call from my DD2 as she sets out for school around 7.00 am BST, preferring time in her school to start her day while it’s quiet.

I had a very long cycle ride yesterday and ended up down on the levels, lots of beautiful, open and unspoilt far- reaching scenery with wild greenery and some doe-eyed cows. Narrow lanes and a lot of bird song. So beautiful and again, that feeling of being very lucky in my choice of living location. It is a shame that I have to go alone but c`est la vie

My car needs a run and I may go and wonder around Wells

Morning Mick, morning All from a brightening corner of Somerset. A decent day forecast

Long, successful day yesterday. An enjoyable breakfast stop before tackling the headstone, hard work but we were pleased with the result. Just a shame the area is prone to flooding. It was on to a retail wander around a very quiet Outlet. Two motorways later we were home needing a quiet evening.

The garden calls today. Grocery delivery to receive and stash away then time to get out the ladder and tackle the Montana which has decided it’s a bean stalk. If there is still enthusiasm the forsythia is next on my hit list. Hoping for some light to be shed on a mystery wet patch on the side of the bungalow. We think gutter/down pipe related. See what the development manager thinks - we rarely agree. I sent him photos as evidence, asked him to have a look yesterday and present us with a plan today. No, it won’t be that simple! Wish us luck.

Hope Tuesday is kind to us all.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10° and cloudy. Cornergran I hope the wet patch is quickly resolved. Pantglas sheep in the garden sounds lovely until they nibble the plants!
Yesterday the boys and I had a good time. We didn't get up to anything exciting, but they like to explore the garden and check on the peas, carrots and strawberries. Dgs1 got his final report from nursery and it was excellent. Dgs2 was very happy most of the day.
I have one of them up and on the couch with me at the moment. He's had first breakfast of a chocolate pancake and smoothie and is watching tv. The little one is still sleeping. My house is a riot of toys but I don't mind. They're only little for such a short time. Today will be nursery drop off and pick up later. Dgs2 and I will bumble about the house and garden. Good morning from sunny Cornwall; my neck fan was bliss yesterday. Went to Helston library and found a lovely book about Barbara Hepworth's studios. She was such an inspired sculptor. Today I must go birthday present-hunting for my son, grandson and best pal, for birthdays just after my op; only 10 days to go till that adventure. 🎉

Emailed the council re my postal vote last evening after a poll card mistakenly arrived in the post and had a reply around 7.30pm; they're obviously working long hours.

Good morning from a sunny Oxfordshire, I wasn’t able to get back yesterday to read any of your posts, but I hope everyone had a good day.

MissOops is still poorly, although well hydrated, she’s also very ‘fragile’ due to being off her meds due to sickness, so she can’t be left alone at the moment.

MrOops is running the errands and going to various appointments that we had planned this week before it all went pear shaped.

MzOops and GS arrived last night so the place is strewn with their stuff that will need to be put somewhere after they leave this morning.

MrOops and his mate collected my car so we need to order a part for it.

Anyway, at least the sun is shining so we can sit in the garden, MissOops finds it calming to watch the birds, hopefully she will soon be able to go back onto the pills. Meanwhile it breaks my heart that once again she is so very unwell physically and mentally.

The nephew has the dog at the moment but I think we need to get her back here, MrOops is also checking up on him. Not a good time for him to also be unwell.

Not a good last few days in the Oops house, but we’ll get through it together.

Busy day ahead here. I have a singing lesson we have an electrician coming to quote for putting in an outside plug to charge the new car, having a smart meter fitted and DS2 delivering some tomato plants and no doubt staying for a chat.

Good morning from sunny north Surrey. The binmen are out in force. Quiet day today. DH had the up and down camera at the hospital which involved much wheelchair pushing. So just a gentle day.
We had a sparrow hawk in the garden last summer attacking a smallish magpie but surrounded by larger magpies none of which were brave enough to attack him. If they had worked as a group they could have seen him off. Couldn't feel too sorry for the victim as they have seen off our nesting blackbirds. They have never come back.
I can't imagine what rush hour is like in Le Man's. Fast I expect.

Good morning all from Severnside. Blue sky and fluffy clouds up there.

I got what I wanted from Lidl middle yesterday but the boxes were all open so I had to make sure I had all the bits that the gadget takes. I’ve charged it and will try it out tomorrow.

Swimming this morning and I might treat myself to an icecream after. I will potter on with some jobs for the rest of the day. I’m not interested in football so last night I was watching old programmes of New Tricks on iPlayer.

Good morning from Durham, dry at present, but will it last? I drove home in torrential rain last night and was soaked just running from the car to the house. It was so bad, I didn’t put the bin out, so I’ll pop down the drive with it soon. DD2 presented me with bags and bags of holiday laundry, as a reward for looking after Little Dog!
Coffee this morning with a friend, although it often runs into lunch too, then back to the laundry mountain.
Poor MissOops and Gingster’s DD, I hope there’s some improvement soon - it’s a strain on the entire family when illness strikes.

Bonjour everybody,
After watching the Euros last night, went to bed only to be woken a couple of hours later by a huge thunderstorm. They tend to 'swirl' where we are so it went on and on until about 5am and was so loud that I couldn't sleep. Needless to say I don't think I'll be doing much to day - maybe even a siesta this afternoon!

I have a manicure this morning, the 9yr olds Sports Day from 12 noon, and an eagerly awaited phone chat with my dearest Aussie contingent who is here to see her horses run at Ascot, and I am so looking forward to catching up with her over the next two weeks, hopefully several times.

Morning from high cloud in S Hants, yesterday the voluntary phone was quiet, only four calls, last week was many more. Quiz last night, we were dreadful!
Today, a GP call at 8:30, ear clear out this afternoon, apparently I’m a ‘super producer’ of wax, not the most useful skill.

Good morning Mick and all. A chilly grey 12° rising to a heady 13° on the Angus coast. But never mind - 16° is forecast for tomorrow and things are looking up.
What a very difficult time you and your family are having just now Oops. I'm so sorry and hope poor Miss Oops improves soon.
Today it's back to a normal tai chi class, then shopping and probably an afternoon 💤 as I didn't sleep so well last night.
