Loved the saga of Cedric, time to ready the lodgings for next year's offspring chimney drop 😄

No Steven never came back MissA not that I know of although this could be a child or grandchild of him. Steven came down the chimney as a baby, stayed with me a few weeks not as long as this chap I think about 4 weeks and then flew away I saw him fly off
The next year Sybil came down the chimney she stayed a couple of weeks and then just disappeared completely, no sign that there ever was a baby bird I know she couldn’t walk out as it’s a completely enclosed garden and I know she wasn’t killed nothing in the garden at all, but a mystery… I saw a similar aged bird back on the roof but that could have been a sibling,who knows, she was a puzzle I never solved.
And then Cedrick 6 weeks today I estimated he was about 2 weeks when he arrived so probably 2 months old now
I ll let you know if he ever visits

Strange though how he said goodbye I hope he has a long and happy life I think he was getting a bit lonely he would tilt his head on one side to listen to the others calling.

He may bring one of his babies back one day and drop it down the chimney, knowing it will be well cared for.

My baby’s gone

My baby has flown away this morning he came for his breakfast and tried to walk in the house I bent down and he came to my hand and I stroked his back for a couple of minutes I ve never done that before An hour later I heard a few squeaks and found him on my shed flat roof and not seen him since

He’s getting so big!
I know we all want a happy ending for Cedric.
For him to fly away and start his life but I, for one, will be sad to see him go as I’ve enjoyed following his progress.

He’s a big boy now! I’m sure he’ll be off on his adventures soon. ❤️

So my boy has definitely grown he has a big wingspan and his feet are slowly losing their blackness ready to turn pink his bill is still black He has lost all his fluff and his head and neck is getting much lighter heading towards white BUT
he still hasn’t flown anywhere he flaps a bit and jumps on to plant pots but that about it
He should be flying within the next couple of weeks 🤞🏼

How funny Sue I hope I brought Steven up with better manners
Cedric is getting very fussy now and is spurning every morsel of food except silly crab sticks
He really needs to fly off soon he’s getting very big and I noticed today his colour round his neck area is getting lighter ready to go white but apart from jumping up and down and flexing his wings he’s not going anywhere,
He manages to get onto a few higher things in my garden but it’s more of a big hop up
He’s got to leave home soon and earn his own crusts
