Good morning everyone from sunny Severnside.
Out in the garden for me today. I expect I’ll do plenty of sitting and looking. Last day today for DD in her present job.
Wishing you a Happy Birthday Sar 🎂🎉

Good Morning Friday 21st June 2024
(57 Posts)Good Morning Everyone,
a blue sky and the start of another warm day here in brackley this morning.
My usual routine having a couple of hours in Bicester and maybe a chat with a friend .
Return home and relax this afternoon .
Take Care,
Mick
Good morning all and it’s bright but still a bit nippy.
Yesterday DD had some good news - results from her scan last week showed nothing on her Pancreas 🙏. She has been so worried and this has made her unwell! She still has other tests and procedures looming, so onwards and upwards. 👍
Good to see MissOops is improving 🙏.
I had coffee and cake with my old pal yesterday and as we were chatting heard a loud thump. Her Dh had fallen again . He has very advanced Parkinson’s. Poor man! We managed to get him upright and he was ok . It’s so sad to see him. He is my DH’s school pal and they were both excellent sportsmen until a few years ago. 😢.
I will renew my senior rail card today and do a bit of housework and then meet up with our Friday friends for a lunchtime drink.
Ash fabulous photo.
GM the Peak District is lovely. Enjoy the time with your son. ❤️.
Take care all 🌸
Good morning all from a sunny Black country.
Yesterday we took ourselves to Stratford on Avon, such a lovely day with the weather. A trip on the river then a nice meal, on the return rail journey I met with an ex work colleague whom I hadn't seen since retiring 8yrs ago, it was good to catch up she's still working but had got the day off.
grandMattie a trip to the Peak District sounds lovely.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed ☀️.
Happy birthday Sar 🎉🎂🎁.
Sar have a lovely birthday. 💐.
Bellasnanna wasn’t that a fantastic match! 🎾
🎼"Oh what a beautiful mornin'" here in Sefton. Clear blue skies & lovely sunshine. 2 sunshiny days on the trot. We are being spoilt. Yesterday became unexpectedly busy. Kicked off with an enjoyable Zumba class - love those Latin vibes, then straight to the supermarket for a food shop. Older DS called in for an hour on his way to the airport to join his brother for their flight to Hamburg & the Euros. They managed to get tickets for one of the more obscure matches but they'll enjoy the atmosphere nevertheless. Then off to pick up older DGD from school - normally done by daddy who was 'in the air' - & mummy had been caught up in a traffic jam due to an RTA. Luckily all involved walked away from it. Luckily we were free to save the day. Just a couple of zoom exercise classes this morning then a free day to enjoy the warmth. May even wear a summer dress, most of which have been languishing in the wardrobe.
You'll enjoy the Peak District grandMattie. It's a beautiful & interesting part of the country. Lots of history - lovely old houses to visit, plague villages, old traditions like well dressing.
Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞Northampton; hooray, it is a dry day and my gardener is coming! Not sure how many hours he's booked in for, but the.garden should look better at the end of it.
Another lovely day yesterday, housework first, then coffee in the garden; went to a talk on Living with Arthritis after lunch which was interesting. Found out that arthritis cannot be prevented, but the more active you can be the better. Was recommended a squishy ball to keep my fingers moving.
Had a nice walk home (all downhill!) with a friend.
Sat in the garden again and continued with my book.
No plans for today apart from the gardener.
Enjoy the sunshine everyone!
.
Good morning from sunny blue sky in Cambridgeshire. We are meeting friends in London for the day so off to catch the early ish train!
Will catch up on all posts later.
Wishing you all a good day
Good morning from another sunny Suffolk where we are promised sunshine all day. I’m meeting a friend at the coast for coffee,a walk along the prom and lunch in a beach cafe….our favourite walk in this weather.
The DH of another friend was taken into hospital yesterday suddenly. She doesn’t drive and the hospital is about 15 miles away. Luckily I have a quiet weekend so can help with lifts which she will need especially on Sunday as no buses.
GM we love Derbyshire and have spent several family holidays there. As well as wonderful scenery, pretty villages and friendly people, you might like a visit to Eyam, the plague village. There is a very interesting exhibition of the history of the village in the church (at least there was several years ago when we last visited).
Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast.
Art then dentist today, but my sprained side doesn’t seem to be improving so not sure what to do, quite bad spasms of pain…
Might carry on as usual and frightened to miss my dentist appointment for fear of losing further appointments. We are warned this could happen.
Lovely photos today, happy birthday Sar, something to look forward to grandmattie and thoughts to all with worries 🌺
Morning, all! It's a rainy day on the Boggy Brae. There is a choice of housework or working on a painting. Bet no-one can guess which will win. Meanwhile a mug of cocoa calls...
You’ll have a lovely cruise along the Solent Pittcity enjoy your cruise.
Happy Birthday Sar 🎉🥳🎂
Good news Gingster.
Crossed posts. Many happy returns Sar. Hope you have a lovely birthday.🥳
Happy birthday 🎂 sar
Good morning from Guernsey, and a Happy Birthday Sar.
I’m heading off to work ( unpaid but still work) so will miss most of the beautiful sunshine. Have a great weekend all.
Happy birthday Sar,a lovely day to celebrate and good news Gingster about your DD’s latest test results.
Great news Gingster
Morning Mick, morning All. Light cloud over our corner of Somerset, sun forecast later.
Yesterday we enjoyed a lovely sunny morning moving from bench to bench on the sea front, people watching and enjoying hay fever respite. I can’t get it under control this year. Stayed for lunch, an unexpected treat
Ironing this morning, TaiChi this afternoon. May be best if I leave before the final relaxation, sneezing won’t be welcome.
There’s a lot of family worry at the moment, our daughter in laws lovely Mum is very poorly, three operations in three days.
They are gamely pressing on with a weekend of birthday celebrations for our grandson, we’ll join them on Sunday and can only hope the news will be better and the family will be able to relax for a while.
A very happy birthday sar. It sounds a good day ahead. I’m pleased you’ll have a break grandmattie, you deserve it for sure.
Hope Friday is kind to us all.
High cloud and still cool but oldies’ coffee morning will be outdoors so must layer up appropriately. Nothing scheduled but as I did virtually nothing useful yesterday must do better today or total indolence will take over. Garden looking nice so a bit of pottering there I think.
Wishing you a very Happy Birthday Sar53 🎂🍾🥂🎉
Wow this last year has flown by so quickly.
Good news Gingster for your DD 👍
Good morning from a mild NE, well it must be as the heating hasn't come on.
Had a busier day than anticipated yesterday, washed the front and back doormats first thing to give them a chance of drying I the garden.
While I was in the garden I noticed the weeds on the patio so decided to spray them, went into the front garden and continued spraying.
In the afternoon I cleaned the downstairs windows.
Today I am going out for lunch with my friend, I will be able to wear something summery and my sandals at last.
Enjoy the Peak District grandMattie, I was there in May but the weather wasn't too good. I enjoyed Bakewell but it was very busy because we went on a Monday and it was market day which meant parking was more difficult.
Have a good day everyone.
Good morning from a warm Durham. Yesterday was lovely weather wise, so hoping for the same today. A good start.
I’ll take Little Dog back this afternoon when DD2 and I have nail appointments, then I’ll look after DGS2 for a couple of hours.
I have vouchers for a local pub, so friend and I are eating there tonight.
🎂🎁Sar
Pleased to hear the DDs are improving Oops and Gingster
Best wishes to all. X
Good morning from a sunny and warm East Midlands. I’m meeting my son and grandson for a birthday breakfast for my son’s birthday tomorrow. He is 50 years old. I thought today was the longest day but it turns out that it was yesterday. Have the best day that you can have.
Happy Birthday, Sar
