Midsummer's day is the 24th June just as 25th December is Christmas Day. They are two of the legal quarter days and have nothing to do with the summer/winter solstice.

Michaelmas day is the one in September and there is one in March but I can't remember the name. They are nothing to do with the equinoxes.
