Good morning from sunny N Bucks- up for ages but one grandson is staying and I honestly know how any of you find the time to post when you’ve got the little ones! I also have grand dog and fortunately he and Rosie seem to like and tolerate each other. Both asleep on the floor in the sun at present!
Flynn brought me a copy of the book of “little laureates’”
“ Once upon a Dream “ poems, and it occurred to me that some of you may have grandchildren in it too. I wondered if any Glesca Grans have GCs at Craighead Primary for instance? Of course I am biased but his poem is very clever and well written so #proudgran alert!
His parents have been at a wedding in Norfolk- such a romantic story, the bride, one of D’s school friends and the groom were an item about 30 years ago in the Sixth Form but life took them in different directions. They met up through mutual friends a few years ago and well, this was the result!
Isn’t that lovely?

Hoping the sun comes out here in Co Durham. DSister and brother in law arriving late afternoon from theNW for an overnight stay, we have a funeral to attend tomorrow. Beds changed and washing out. Quick hoover and dust then relax. We will eat out this evening so only breakfast tomorrow to provide.
Hope our poorlies get some relief. Thinking of our missing friends.

A later good morning from Northampton, slightly overcast today, but still expecting it to be warm enough to sit out later.

DD's concert last night was amazing; her band has recently won a platinum award in a national competition. A packed church enjoyed a varied programme, Jungle Book to Mussorgsky and Elgar. DD has been asked to be leader of the second flutes, a great honour.

Came home prepared to wait up for DGD to come here after her party in the next close, but got a message from her mum to say she had been offered a lift home instead.

Must go and shower now. Looking forward to sitting out later.

Good morning all from a cooler and cloudier Angus coast. Yesterday turned into a glorious day, with the sun seeing off the cloud in short order. Our tai chi on the beach was just perfect for the 16 of us who turned up - blue skies, white wispy clouds and a sparkling sea.
Later at home it was too hot for me at 19°! There's no pleasing some folks!
Tomorrow we're having a power outage 'for necessary maintenance work' so today I'm going to be busy doing all the jobs requiring electricity that I had planned to do tomorrow. That's just about everything, isn't it!
Oops your poor daughter - she must be exhausted poor girl. A relief to know there's no underlying cause though. I do hope she's better soon
Glad to hear you're feeling better today Mick. I too will be joining the football avoidance crowd - there's altogether too much sport on TV just now as far as I'm concerned. A little bit of tennis, some gymnastics and a bit of swimming and diving is about as far as my tolerance goes - but I'm saying that very quietly! I know I'm very much outnumbered 😉

Another fine day here, but a little cloudier than yesterday at this time. I think we are forecast another fine, warm day though. It was lovely to be able to sit outdoors for a while yesterday and read my book - the temperature was just right for me in the low twenties. Once it climbs to the high twenties and into the thirties, it becomes too hot for me.

After two very busy days in London- my knees are killing me - I’m having a quiet day. OH is transferring the swarm of bees he caught to his apiary today. He blocked up the entrance to the hive last night so I expect the bees are very angry by now!

A garden party for a df 80th this afternoon so I hope it's fine for her but I also need to test my roof repairs so don't care if it rains.

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast. I’m aiming for another quiet day today as my back, or rather side sprain improves. It’s made me feel quite tired and listless. However I’ll do a few jobs which don’t require too much effort.

Yesterday’s church fete went well with the weather playing ball and lots of families involved. I hope the finances are satisfactory - as a social event it was certainly a success. I was whacked when I got home and slept well. Today has a service in our smallest church and a date with the Sunday paper and maybe a potter outside if my hay fever allows.

Sorry that the news of some posters’ families is worrying and hope today brings relief.

A quiet day today after yesterday's busyness. We had an enjoyable evening at our neighbours' 70th birthday bash. Maybe we'll have a quick visit to a garden centre.I always seem to be in need of another bag of compost & a few more plants to fill the odd gap. DH has had to put the grass cutting on the back burner.

Good morning all it’s another cracking warm start to the day here on the east coast of Fife . I’m going to my friends rock concert where she’s singing, it should be fun it’s a group of young women singing their hearts out. I’m also very excited to be getting a visit from my son who still needs a hug. No matter what age he is he’s still in need of a hug. I’ll have a shower this morning and I’ll wash my hair. It’s going to be an exciting long long day I sat in my conservatory yesterday with the doors as wide as wide could be this weather we’re having is so unpredictable due to climate changes. Believe that if you like.

Good morning from an overcast NE where it is 17 degrees.
Yesterday was a pleasant day and I had two short spells in the garden.
GD1 had her shift at the hotel cancelled so she said she would visit with her sister and dad. When they arrived she had dreadful hay fever and spent the rest of the day with a large box of tissues.
Today will be very quiet, just me and my book, definitely no football.
Thoughts are with poorly people and their carers.

I am sorry to hear about you feeling down, Mick, it is understandible when you worry about your health.

After a night of night terrors, feeling really rather strange, (those blooming injections) and a full on day yesterday, I plan to do very little. I am rather weary! A few perennials are awaiting planting and I plan to just potter about the garden.

We had an unexpected visit from DS2 and darling Babydoll yesterday. DIL was out with her sister and DS asked if he could spend the day with us.
I didn't bring anything for her lunch, he said. I know you will have a freezer full of lunches for baby. He was of course correct! I like to play the earth mother role.
She devoured her Scotch broth in no time. She will eat anything!

My lovely day was complete by seeing Dollie at the Vigil Mass. Her steroids are doing their worst and affecting her usual, sunny personality.
I don't envy her parents, they have an early flight to Portugal tomorrow morning and will be in her company for ten days and no gran to take her off their hands for respite! 😉

Good morning from another lovely sunny Suffolk where those camping at the festival in Lowestoft should have a glorious day after yesterday’s unexpected occasional heavy showers.

I’ll join DH on the dog walk later,the first I’ve been free to do for a few days because of other morning commitments. Later I’m taking my friend to visit her DH in hospital and another friend will collect her as there are no buses for that journey from hers on Sunday.

Otherwise a quiet day in the garden in a shady spot with yesterday’s newspapers I think.

Good morning from a sunny Oxfordshire.

We spent most of Friday night and Saturday L until late morning in A&E at the JR, excellent NHS staff yet again and we can’t fault the treatment and kindness of the staff.
MissOops not doing so well at the moment, had a bucket load of tests and CT scan, with x rays as well, and as many antiemetic doses as they were allowed to give her, concluded that it’s a virus, so no treatment available apart from the odd trip to hospital to combat dehydration. It’s not ideal but at least we know that there is no underlying cause.
We came home and caught up on our sleep, not sure how long the drugs will last, but hope that she gets some relief from the constant retching and vomiting, when we asked what she was bringing up they told us it was her stomach lining!!

Anyway, we are home and that in itself helps.

Good morning from Malta where it is going to be slightly cooler at 30°C.

Last night’s long babysitting session went well. The boys are very good about going to bed and littlest one gives me a little wave and says ‘Bye Nana’ as he snuggles down.😍
I didn’t get home until 3.30am so I expect I shall fall asleep watching the tennis later!

I’ve also been enjoying watching Queens as well as Halle in Germany. The finals today should be entertaining.

Mass this morning, usual chat with my pal in Leicester as well as a call to my brother in law later. My sister (his wife) died eighteen years ago but we still keep in touch.

Mizuna I was given a neck fan by a friend but I find it gives me terrible headaches so can’t use it, unfortunately.

Good morning from a lovely warm north east. Granddaughters 16 th birthday today so a little get together planned which we don’t do as often as we should. We had a lovely day yesterday after visiting Northallerton it was a treat to Betty’s tea room lovely but quite pricey. Glad to hear your doing well mick. Love to all.

Yesterday was garden faffing and newspaper reading until the evening when my son and his partner visited, we shared a Chinese..
My daughter and the grandchildren are calling in later to discuss a Thorpe Park trip, a post GCSE and SATS treat, they’ll be staying there one night.
Meat draw later, not sure what for dinner.
