Good Morning Everyone,
Another bright sunny start to what could be a rather hot day today here in brackley.
A fairly busy day for me I have an appointment at the outpatients Cardiology this morning , which requires me to get there for the early appointment using the buses .
return home after lunch may do a shop after .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from Bristol, where the sun is rising in a clear sky.

I have just put on a load of washing, to have clean clothes to take with me tomorrow. I also made tons of chocolate biscuits and some flapjacks for our holiday. Extra ones so DS can take them on holiday with DGS next week…

My quilt is gully assembled and I’m just doing the final hand sewing.

I’ve got toddlers this morning and the”seniors film” show in the church hall this afternoon. I think the film is “Darjeeling Express”.

DS is coming to dinner and night, so we can when we like tomorrow morning. I also feed him with things (like meat) that his vegetarian and fussy sister’s family don’t eat!

May you hav3 a peaceful start to heat promises to be a hot week. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

RosiesMaw Mon 24-Jun-24 05:38:35

Good morning early birds and all to come.
Well, off on my Arts Society holiday this morning to Suffolk. For just about the first time in my life there’s no raincoat or rain jacket in my case - not even a “pac-a-Mac”!
I had a full on weekend with GS and then his parents who came for lunch and to pick him up before-for them- a long and sticky journey back to London . It does take much of the pleasure out of weekend family lunches doesn’t it when the world and his dog are on the motorway as well.
Rosie is tucked up in kennels for the week and I hope you will behave yourselves and that life will be kind to while I am gone.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 10° and looks lovely outside. GrandMattie enjoy your trip. You sound very organised. Mick I hope the medical appointment goes well.
Yesterday was a lovely day. The garden party in the afternoon was thoroughly enjoyable. Lots of arty friends and others. My art tutor has a walled garden therefore it was very warm. She had pergolas galore so we could be in the shade and we were served canapés and sparkly drinks. Very nice.
Today is early childcare. This is the last week before the summer holidays. Dgs1 has a festival at nursery today and dgs2 will, no doubt, craft lots of paintings at playgroup. I'll put their play tent out in the garden to keep them protected from the sun. I have roasted trout fillets and will have one as part of a salad for dinner. Enjoy your day.

Grandmabatty Mon 24-Jun-24 05:45:57

RosiesMaw have a lovely time!

Good morning Mick, morning all from South Lanarkshire, I’m not sure what the weather forecast is but it’s dry and still just now.

Yesterday evening was glorious, I sat in the garden reading the papers and drinking tea. Small pleasures.

Later this morning I have my strength and balance class, last week I definitely felt that I had used muscles which had been out of action for a while.

This afternoon I must finish the baby blanket I’m making for a neighbour whose baby may be born while we’re away on holiday, I’m almost there.

Wishing everyone the best day.

Good morning from a sunny and bright Oxfordshire.

Yesterday was another day spent in A&E, late arrival home last night. Nurse will be here on Tuesday to give fluids and more anti emetics to MissOops, who is poorly and distressed at the constant non stop vomiting.

Hope all those going on holiday have a lovely time.

Let’s hope we have a better day today, not likely as MissOops ,is vomiting already. I’ve got Cystitis………

I’ll catch up on all of your posts later, hope everyone has a good day and can sit in the sunshine.

Mizuna Mon 24-Jun-24 05:59:56

Good morning from an airless Cornwall where I've opened doors and windows front and rear. I have an early start chasing down a prescription and posting a parcel. After that I'll seek shade. Last night's film was great fun in a packed cinema with our chocolate bars melting in our hands. My 14-year-old grandson has become man-sized since I last saw him a few weeks ago. 😁

Ashcombe Mon 24-Jun-24 06:00:33

Good morning from a bright and sunny Sarthe.

I hope your cardiology appointment goes well, Mick. Having an early appointment should ensure you are seen promptly.

I’m glad the weather is properly summery for those going away. Safe travels, grandMattie and RosiesMaw. Both breaks sound therapeutic which will be ideal for you.

Poor MissOops; I do hope she has some relief from her suffering soon. There are over the counter remedies for cystitis, Oopsadaisy1; being run down isn’t surprising, given all that you’ve gone through. So sorry.

In answer to Beechnut from yesterday: yes, there is much about being in France that I love but I couldn’t live here full time for several reasons: my poor command of French, complex health needs, family and friends in UK, involvement in amdram and my church life. Much as I love DH, we both value our time together and apart. Brexit has made it harder to contemplate living here permanently. DH has permission due to his history of being here and paying his taxes in France.

I hope today is the start of a good week for you all. 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. Bright and sunny.

That's very daring Rosiesmaw - no coat for a week! Have a lovely break.

I am expecting a posse of 5 this morning to look at my house because they are interested in the folk who lived here 150 years ago.

I shall offer them coffee and scones and hope I'm not expected to be an expert. I can't take them into the room where the ceiling has fallen in.

Physio this afternoon and tonight DS, DDiL and DGS arrive for a week.

Yesterday's 80th birthday garden party was very lovely, but since most of the guests were ancient, several of us retreated indoors to escape the sun and to find a chair.

I could tell that Scotland hadn't won their football match last night as the raucous noise from the pub opposite had stopped.

Have a great day everyone and enjoy the sunshine but keep hydrated.

Bonnybanko Mon 24-Jun-24 06:13:22

Good morning all from a very lovely and promisingly warm day on the east coast of Fife..
Yesterday I was at a rock concert where all the proceeds are going to charity. The ladies sang their hearts out to Keans famous hit song and sitting on the dock of the bay not your typical rock music but hey ho very enjoyable never the less, followed by a visit from my dear son who stayed the night we both watched the unfortunate football 🥲and a few episodes of Tales of the unexpected, oldies which I hadn’t seen before, all while having a Chinese meal it was on the whole a good night. I’m now hoping for a trip to our nearest farm shop for a delicious breakfast. I am so blessed.

Have a good day my friends, be kind and keep safe 💕

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 24-Jun-24 06:23:35

Well that’s strange! I posted a good morning message and it’s gone!

monk08 Mon 24-Jun-24 06:23:40

Good morning all from another sunny day in the Black country.
I shot out off bed this morning thinking it was bin day and no bins out, by the time I realised it wasn't I was wide awake. Never mind washing on and the boiler people are due to return with a part and hopefully fix it. They are scheduled between 10 & 2pm, yesterday's man was here for 8am, he asked if we had smelt anything which funny enough I'd said I could smell TCP it turns out it was a transformer which was melting.
GM & * Rosies* have a lovely holiday.
Oops sending healing vibes I do hope MissOops starts to make a recovery soon.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

karmalady Mon 24-Jun-24 06:49:50

Good morning from s somerset, cloudy all day

Thinking about you and your family Oops. Hoping there is a turnaround today. Such a worry for all of you

I am going to get dressed, covered top to toe for gardening. I have some ground cover plants to deal with and it all involves getting down and dirty into insect heaven and they bite my legs. Geraniums today, prickly roses and very few weeds. The sedum is going to flower soon, followed by echinacea. Looking good and is also a haven for local slow worms

A cotton day dress to finish later, I enjoy sewing on my vintage machine in the kitchen, she influences me into slow and steady, a different vibe. I want this dress, easy slip-on, slightly cocoon.

I am off roads and lanes for a bit, glasto traffic will be speeding and building up and no lanes are safe

Have a good day

RosesandLilac Mon 24-Jun-24 06:51:01

Good morning everyone, it’s bright but cloudy here in south Glos.
Happy travels to Grandmattie and RosiesMaw, have a great time away.
Poor MissOops, it sounds utterly miserable and endless for her ☹️
Yesterday the pond was sorted out, it’s looking much better. I also painted the interior of an old tin trunk, with metal/rust paint which wasn’t easy to apply. It’s looking good so I need to do the outside now.
The carpenter is coming today so more work on the summerhouse 👏, he’s fitting me in around his other jobs so it’ll be a wee while before it’s complete.
Off to get the car MOT’d this morning, I need to get a move on because I have to be there at 8.00.
Have a lovely day 🌹

Redcar Mon 24-Jun-24 06:53:11

Good morning all from a sunny and warm mid Essex. I’m early this morning because I’m planning to into town to drop some stuff at a charity bookshop. I need to get there early to get a disabled parking space in the car park.
Have a good holiday Rosies and Grandmattie, the weather looks set fair for you!
Hope the day is kind to us all, and that poor Missoops gets some relief from her vomiting.

kittylester Mon 24-Jun-24 06:54:01

Good morning all from a warm North Leicestershire.

We are going away for a few days tomorrow so a bit of packing and sorting this morning. This afternoon I have the 1st of our new Carer Learning course.

Lovely day with DD1 and co yesterday.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Ladyleftfieldlover Mon 24-Jun-24 07:02:17

Hello karmalady- you’re back!

BlueSapphire Mon 24-Jun-24 07:06:27

Good morning everyone from a very bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton; looks like it may be too hot to sit out today!

Spent yesterday afternoon in the shade under the pergola mainly reading; got through the Sunday paper and the puzzle pages, then finished one book and started on July's book club read. Book club has been cancelled this week, as our hostess fears it will be too hot to sit in her apartment- she has no outside shady area for us to sit either.

Yoga first thing then home to do not much for the rest of the day.... May do some washing.
Not much cooking either, just a home-made Bolognese from the freezer to reheat for dinner.

Hope that MissOops feels better soon.

Enjoy your holidays, Maw and grandMattie, you have a good week weatherwise.

Hope all enjoy the sunshine and find some pleasant shade today.

Marydoll Mon 24-Jun-24 07:12:24

Good morning all from a sunny Glasgow, where it is 12°C.
Yet another disturbed night, I was lying awake at 4.30am watching the sunrise.

I hope your appointment goes well, Mick and for those who are going on holiday, enjoy.

I am so vexed for MissOops, you must be exhausted Oops. 💐

Have the best day everyone.

Gala Mon 24-Jun-24 07:12:39

Good morning from Sefton where we have hazy cloud though a hot sunny day is forecast. It is very still. A quiet day yesterday with just a quick trip to a very local garden centre for (just) a bag of compost. Unfortunately I got seduced by an array of beautiful plants, the colours are just gorgeous. This afternoon will be spent looking for gaps in the garden into which they can be popped. Singing this morning.
So sorry to hear MissOoops is still poorly. She must be feeling so wretched. I hope the ministrations of the visiting nurse has some effect.
Bon voyage to those of you off on your travels. Best wishes for a good start to the week for all.

brook2704 Mon 24-Jun-24 07:25:37

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s clear blue sky and a warm day ahead
Poor miss Oops, what a really bad time she’s having, hoping for some better news soon Oops, and you too
I’ve got a few things to get from the shops this morning, other than that nothing planned except to enjoy the sunshine. The garden chairs and parasol are waiting for me outside
Have a lovely holiday gMattie, rosiesmaw, kitty and everyone else on their travels
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Grammaretto Mon 24-Jun-24 07:53:49

So sorry to hear that Miss Oops is still no better. What a worry that must be for you Oops
Wishing her a speedy recovery 🙏

Enjoy your hols gMattie, Rosiesmaw and kitty

Good morning Michael and all GNs from South Yorkshire where it is going to be another scorcher. I slept like a top last night but feel as if I’ve been run over by a bus this morning. The curry went down well, and then we sat outside in whatever shade we could find in the garden. Quiet day for me; too hot to be out in the car, so maybe walk along the river later.
Hope MissOops start to feel better soon, and all those on the move travel safe.
Have a good day, folks.

Liberty Mon 24-Jun-24 08:01:15

Good morning all from a very warm and slightly misty Suffolk which should clear in the next hour or 2,that is the mist and not hopefully the sun.

I’m meeting a friend for lunch in our favourite pub locally which is always busy so she has booked a table in the bar by a window. It overlooks the Main Street and is a good spot for people watching……not that we have much time for that as chatting takes over.

So sorry to read that MissOops is still so poorly and the worry and exhaustion that causes for the rest of the family. Hope those travelling have easy journeys and others unwell comfortable days.
