Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

Shredding Mick! The mind boggles😎

Church this morning at one of the smallest churches in the Benefice.

OH and I visited a nearby NT property yesterday. The gardens were looking beautiful and we finished with a delicious cream tea.

Mealtimes have to be arranged today around two football matches. I don’t think I can bear to watch England!

Have a good day everyone especially those of you who are having difficulties.

Good morning Mick and all who follow from the Black country where there was overnight rain.
DH fishing so it's an early start.
If the weather stays dry I shall go to the local craft and food market for a wander round.
Will come back later to read everyone's happenings.
Have a great day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️.

Good morning everyone it’s a dry dreich looking day here according to my ring doorbell on the east coast of Fife. The weather forecast says it’s to be cloudy all day, however it might become a little warm, it was warm yesterday.

I’ll have a shower and wash my hair soon, scrambled eggs on toast, tea and fresh orange juice for breakfast.

It’s church today and my friend will pick me up, then home for roast potatoes done in the airfryer which takes only 15 minutes, steak pie and vegetables followed by a Netflix film, or I will read a book. I’ve plenty by Ian Rankin one of my favourite authors.

Have a good day my friends thinking of those who are here or those who have gone before us. 💐💐💐

Good morning from an overcast Cornwall. The nurse has just brought me a coffee, this is the life. I would normally go home today but the pain isn't controlled yet so it will be tomorrow instead. The picture is just a reminder to me of where I'd be sitting if I was at home. Thank you for more kind words yesterday. It fascinates me how virtual friendships can form and give comfort. Today will be physio, food and football (watching of, not doing of 😁).

Mizuna Sun 30-Jun-24 06:29:01

(PS I had a spinal block not general anaesthetic hence quicker recovery.)

Ashcombe Sun 30-Jun-24 06:32:54

Good morning from a brighter start in La Sarthe after a largely wet day yesterday with thunderstorms from noon onwards.

An urgent visit from a local friend seeking advice regarding her son's choice of school at 15+ rather stymied our plans to visit the little local produce market so we shall have to shop in Intermarché this morning which closes at noon for the day.

Thoughts with those who are poorly and hope Mizuna continues to make good progress and pain eases. A blessed Sunday to all. 🦩🥰✝️💐🦩

Good morning from a damp hillside in south Glos where the skies are grey.
Yesterday I enjoyed the garden, yanked out lots of crocosmia that had overgrown a small border and topped it up with compost before putting in some nemesias and dianthus. Today I have a large planter to try emptying and then planting up with Felicia and a new clematis I think.
I enjoyed sitting in the sun reading, then in the shade but retreated inside when it got too warm for me.
Have a lovely day everyone 🌹

Good morning from a cooler South Downs.

What a summer of sport we are having! DH is delighted with it all - me not so much, but I can appreciate his enthusiasm, and wish that I also enjoyed it as much, but I can really only dip in and out of the tennis and olympics when they start,

Now I can wax lyrical about plants and nature😄😄

Weeding, cutting back and tying in today.

Piece of roast beef later and although I’m trying to loose weight, I will make yorkshires -

Enjoy your day one and all.

Peace and harmony

Good morning from lush, green s somerset, a damp start

We have had enough rain to make mud on the lanes so my planned long ride is scuppered.

I am sewing some summer pyjamas from stash fabric, I will finish them today and float through the day doing this and that. Sunday still feels like sunday so I will be enjoying my freshly ground coffee and large artisan criossant soon, strawberry conserve on top. I have frozen portions of conserve as it has a limited storage time

Have a good day

Good morning all from a fairly bright North Leicestershire where we also have some dark clouds. We had some rain overnight if the windows are to be beleived.

Today we are picking up DGD3 and meeting up with DD2, DSil and DGD 2&4 for lunch. Much giggling will ensue. I love the fact that the cousins are such friends.

But, we must be back for the football.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Grandmabatty Sun 30-Jun-24 07:27:39

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11°, cloudy and cool. Karma I love croissants. I have an almond one waiting for me later. RosesandLilac crocosmia is such a thug! My neighbour gave me some when I moved in and it spreads everywhere unless I keep an eye on it. mizuna I hope they can get your pain under control.
Yesterday was a lovely day.I had breakfast with a friend then later dgs2 came round for a sleepover, his face one big beam. He played away happily, had a bath and went to bed. He was still chatting to himself at nine o'clock but quite happy.
Today his mum will pick him up. I managed to get gooseberries yesterday, so, when he's away, I'll make jam. Then later I'll visit mum. I fancy chicken and leek pie for dinner so that's what I'll do too. And a slow cooker pot of lentil soup. Have a good day all.

Good morning from an overcast Cornwall, sorry if this isn't the right place to put this but I'm having problems with the site and wondered if anyone else is. When I click on the Last Day or the Last Hour at the top of the page it takes ages go to the page and when it does comes up with No discussions found. I have tried logging out and logging back in but it's still the same it started doing this yesterday. sad

Good morning from a grey W Kent. This evening DS and DIL are taking us to a concert as a present to DH. Unfortunately when it was booked nobody knew England would be playing. I am sure there will be phone checking during the interval!! It’s ages since I have had to think what to wear obviously we don’t get out much.
Mizuna hope they sort you out for an exit tomorrow enjoy the coffee
Best wishes to all

monk08 Sun 30-Jun-24 07:38:32

Hi and welcome Su22 there is a thread on this at site stuff, you are not on your own GNHQ are aware and trying to sort it.

Marydoll Sun 30-Jun-24 07:39:49

Good morning all from a cloudy Glasgow, where it is 12°C.

Mizuna, you sound as if you have been well looked after. I didn't think you would have a G.A, because of your medical issues. I was the same and was positive I would never feel my toes again! 🤭 Wishing you a speedy recovery.

Yesterday I had a bump on the head, when my hand held liquidiser fell from a shelf and hit me on the top of the head.
I had been bothered with vertigo all day, so I wasn't paying attention to what I was doing.
Boy was it painful!🤯🥴. I thought I was seeing double, but it turned out, that I had knocked off my glasses. 🥴😉
Through my sobbing, I heard Mr MD's suggestion: Why don't you go and lie in the bath ? My reply is unprintable.
This is why I have a script pinned beside the phone in case he ever needs to phone again for an ambulance. ( He gas previous convictions) Dealing with crises are not his forte.

I wish you all a pleasant Sunday and best wishes for all the poorlies.

Jaxjacky Sun 30-Jun-24 07:45:32

Morning from a damp S Hants, we’ve had rain and it’s quite refreshing.
Fingers crossed you get sorted today Mizuna and will soon be home.
Another house geared up for the two matches today, we’ve both got advice for Gareth at 5pm 🙂
Su22 I just click on active, but it’s annoying.
🦩🦩

Su22 Sun 30-Jun-24 07:46:31

monk08 thank you very much for the info.

brook2704 Sun 30-Jun-24 07:48:50

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey and cool, yesterday was quite chilly with a cold wind
Great progress mizuna you’ll soon be back home and hopefully sitting in the garden
Later today I’m meeting DD2 to view a potential new house she’s interested in. Hopefully it’ll be suitable, her choice is a bit restricted as she’s wanting to stay in the same school catchment area that she’s in now.
My favourite treat is an almond croissant grandmabatty! Sounds like your DGS2 had a lovely sleepover,
Ouch marydoll you poor thing - take care and have a quiet day if you can
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

grandMattie Sun 30-Jun-24 07:51:55

Good morning from a grey Bristol.

I overslept - I shall read your posts later. I think I’m catching up from the holiday and doing too much yesterday. I have to admit that cleaning a whole aisle, involving dusting and brushing every chair, was rather a lot.

The flowers turned out beautifully, but I’m afraid the arrangement turned out tone the largest and most flamboyant in the church - looked rather like showing off! I was the first in the church and finished long before most of the other arrangers…

Once home, I finished the memory quilt I’ve been making for the demented widower of one of our residents. Hope it helps him.

Quietish later. Church, then DS is coming over for dinner and night, the DGS is coming for th3 night before they go to Snowdon for a few days.

Carpe diem.

grandMattie Sun 30-Jun-24 07:54:37

Extravagant flowers

Grandmabatty Sun 30-Jun-24 07:58:04

Marydoll ouch! You don't have concussion, do you? GrandMattie the flowers are beautiful.

Georgesgran Sun 30-Jun-24 07:58:48

Good morning from Durham, another cool, cloudy day in store.
DGS1’s school fair almost bankrupted me yesterday, but we did well on the bottle tombola. I’m going to watch him swimming this morning, then do something with DD2 and DGS2 later, a bit awkward as I have Little Dog, so have to work around that.
Hope they get your pain management sorted Mizuma.
Best wishes to all, X

hollysteers Sun 30-Jun-24 08:04:10

Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
I felt better for a run through of my songs yesterday after an aborted visit to our best park because of rain. Then a long chatty FaceTime with my sister in the south in the evening.
I might have a walk in the sand dunes today, I need the exercise although some sun would be nice..

Lovely photos today, fab flowers grandmattie and hope you are soon home Mizuna🌺

DanniRae Sun 30-Jun-24 08:08:59

Oh grandMattie those flowers are beautiful! smile
