Not me.

Usually stay up and watch but not this year as we are on holiday in a hotel room don’t think my DH would be impressed plus I would be shattered the next day. Not really that excited by the expected results

supergirlsnan

I'm working as a Poll Clerk so should be home by 10.30ish.
Expect to be very tired but wired so think I'll see most of the night's coverage.

Likewise.

I shall be wide awake when I get home, so shall watch some results.

Last GE, think I went to bed about 2.30am.

NotAGran55 Wed 03-Jul-24 20:43:21

I’ll look during the night as I wake several times anyway.

M0nica Wed 03-Jul-24 20:39:45

I cannot see the point, nothing happens until the small hours. I will be going to bed early and getting up early, say 5.00am.

Harris27 Wed 03-Jul-24 20:33:04

I’m out till about 11 at a do. Will probably stay up and check the late results.

Grandma70s Wed 03-Jul-24 20:32:44

I’ll go to bed at the usual time (ish), but I always wake at some point in the night so I’ll check then. I’ll probably wake up finally at about six, and suspect I’ll be glued to all the details for much of Friday.

DamaskRose Wed 03-Jul-24 20:27:11

I shall be up for as much of the night as possible but will probably doze on and off.

Ailidh Wed 03-Jul-24 20:19:54

Usual 10 o'clock bedtime for me but I'm up at 05:30 every day, so I'll switch on then and see how the land lies.....

Me!!

I intend to stay up and watch the Tories skittles fall.

Or, if there aren't many skittles I'll go to bed with my lap-top!

Friday I intend sleeping in and then heading to the pub to celebrate!

I shall be asleep at 9, as usual, but when I get up for a wee I’ll check my iPad for results. I’ll be up at 5 to check a lot more over a couple of cups of coffee and hope to be out with the dog a bit later, with a daft grin on my face.

Casdon Wed 03-Jul-24 20:07:50

I’m staying up. According to the Guardian the first result is expected about 11.30pm with more trickling in until about 3am. About 440 of the 650 seats will be declared over the following two hours. Typically, all seats are in by 8am on Friday. I will try to sleep for a couple of hours between midnight and 3, but watching the bulk of the results coming in is always exciting whatever the outcome.
Whitewavemark is running a poll prediction comp tomorrow with a very enticing virtual prize, so watch out for that and join in!

Usual bed time for me.

AGAA4 Wed 03-Jul-24 19:52:06

I will go to bed as usual and wake up when the results are taking shape on Friday morning.

merlotgran Wed 03-Jul-24 19:48:07

I’ll go to bed at 10.30 and have the telly on in the bedroom until I start to fall asleep. I’m not going to force myself to stay awake although if I wake up for my usual 3am loo trip I might have a sneaky peek!

Jane43 Wed 03-Jul-24 19:46:30

I will stay up until around midnight, I usually wake up once or twice in the night so I will switch the television on to see how the results are going.

We’re planning to go to bed just after 10 and come down again at about 2.30. I’m feeling very jittery.

Tenko Wed 03-Jul-24 19:30:47

I shall go to bed at 10 at usual and find out Friday morning. Plus I’m working on Friday .

ayse Wed 03-Jul-24 19:30:14

I can’t. Daughter moving on Friday and I’ve promised to help. But I will watch some of it then wake up early to see how it’s going. I hope we have a change of government.

Grandmabatty Wed 03-Jul-24 19:29:53

I'll go to bed as usual as there won't be results announced until midnight at least. Then I'll doze and check the news. I'm feeling unsettled about it all rather excited.

Oreo Wed 03-Jul-24 19:23:08

Am working a night shift tonight and Thursday night but will find out the next morning, must work out my prediction for numbers of seats soon.

Chocolatelovinggran Wed 03-Jul-24 19:22:52

Absolutely : wine will be required. One of my family is working the count locally, so she'll be keen to achieve a fast result.

Witzend Wed 03-Jul-24 19:20:53

Who else is going to be up watching the results coming in for much of tomorrow night?
Regardless of who I’ve ever wanted to win, I’ve always found it exciting. Shall probably have a little zizz on the sofa between around 9 and 10 pm, and already have some extra special snacks lined up. 🙂🐷
