good morning everyone from a bright and sunny (so far) day in North Yorkshire . All my plans for today are now being halted as I had a phone call from my son last night. He may be able to come and meet me today so am waiting for a phone call to say if it is yes or no. So have two separate little piles growing. For a variety of reasons - most of them bad - we havent been able to meet up since christmas, although have kept in touch on email and phones of course. So I have a bag with christmas presents at the ready, and quite a lot of bits and pieces that I have collected over these months especially for my grandson. So fingers crossed, he will have a happy time this evening sorting through them. I am a keen reader, always have been, and I try to encourage him too, at least that is my excuse when every time I am in a book shop I see another book I hope he will enjoy. My son has had several health problems and was at the hospital last week, so it will be good to see in real times how he is. I am so looking forward to seeing him I hardly dare think about it in case he cannot manage it. He probably is not even awake yet and I wont ring him so as I used to say to him in the past. "Have patience. Worrying about it wont make it any better" ! Ah well in the meantime I will try and clean the kitchen up a bit. My back is just getting worse and worse and I am struggling day to day to do much. Fine driving and now find that I have to do two jobs at once. One sitting and one standing. I can only do about 20 minutes of either at once. As I am a person who likes to finish a job before beginning another one it is ver frustrating. Oh well so long as I keep breathing!! Do hope today goes well for everyone

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s grey but dry, looks a bit windy
Love the nails Bellasnanna
I couldn’t stay up last night past midnight , my eyes kept closing and seen as we’ve got both DGC here I thought I’d best get some sleep! We’ll find something to do this morning and then later I’m meeting my pal for coffee and a catch up
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings💐

Good morning all from a dull North Leicestershire.

Cake icing and delivery to Derby today. DGD1 is having a cake sale to help raise money for a trip to Africa.

Have the best day possible everyone!

Good morning Mick and All from a very mizzly South Bucks.

Managed to avoid ALL of the Election yesterday by watching wall to wall tennis 🎾🎾🎾🎾 hooray.

We are almost free of covid now, what a relief.

Morning all from West Oxfordshire. I’ve been catching up with the news and it’s all very pleasing. Our Tory MP has been replaced with a LibDem.

We are off to Devon later, probably around 11 am as we can’t go into the cottage until 4 pm. We will stop for lunch on the way.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from Cornwall where it's refreshingly rainy and my patio will show the benefits. A close friend is collecting a prescription for me today and will stop for a coffee. It'll be good to see her again as our usual jaunts to Wetherspoons have been interrupted.

When I checked the weather on the BBC app Somerton in Somerset came up automatically, which is very strange!

Good morning from a damp W Kent. Our constituency has followed the national trend as usual.
Quiet day with a bit of GS care later.

Morning from a wet S Hants, hurray, we need the rain.
Pretty nails Bellasnana I’ve had mine done once, didn’t last long as my hands are always in the dirt!
MrJ found three bees in the en-suite last night, rescued, window closed and we’ll investigate today. Tesco delivery this afternoon and early evening we’re going to see Imogen off to her prom.

Good morning from a damp hillside in south Glos.
I had a quiet day yesterday, doing Notalot.
Today I am out early for a contact lens appointment in town then I will probably pop into a couple of shops on the way back , I need a few bits and pieces.
It looks like my local Tory MP has lost his seat to the Lib Dem’s!
Hallelujah!

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and sunny after heavy rain. Stilllearning I'm heading to bed shortly after a night of naps. It's been quite the change in the political face in Scotland.
Yesterday I met up with two friends from art for lunch and we were still chatting at four pm.
Today I will catch up with later results and snooze. Have a good day all.

Bellasnana Fri 05-Jul-24 06:09:05

Good morning from Malta where it is going to feel like 30°C today.

Went over to help with the boys yesterday. Littlest was sick on and off all day. Hopefully he will be better by Monday when they will start nursery. Just for a couple of hours to ease them into it.

After having my nails done I went to buy more paint and was telling the assistant what trouble I was having painting my yard. Imagine what an utter fool I felt when he pointed out I should have diluted the paint first! No wonder I struggled!

Anyway, had another go at it and it does look better but I’m so mad with myself for the time and money wasted as one pot would have sufficed had I not been so clueless.

Hair appointment later and will call in on the boys.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Good morning Mick and all from a dry and bright north Wales where I’m on my second chamberpot ☕️watching the results come in since sparrowfart!

A quiet day for me with a catch up snooze this afternoon or I won’t see tea time. I’ll be popping back to read your doings - hope they’re good and 💐 for those with challenges at the moment, don’t want to list in case I leave someone out.

Good morning from a wet Bristol.

I’ve got my two chaps sleeping here, DD is off to York first thing for the general Synod, leaving sil and family to get on with things.

I had hoped DS would stay here (DGS is leaving today) but he’s going to DD’s. I have barely seen him this holiday, but that is how things pan out, isn’t it? I absolutely refuse to appear needy!

Today is quiet. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a fairly bright start in the Sarthe.

I hope the new medication works for your heart, Mick.

Well done those who stayed up all night, including Stilllearning!

We are delighted to read the election news nationally online this morning. My home constituency has gone back to being represented by a a Lib Dem candidate after about 10 years of having a Tory. Our new MP is a decent local man who has been involved in local politics for many years.
We shall celebrate with a glass of Buck's Fizz with breakfast!

Wishing everyone a happy day as we hope for a better future in the UK. 🦩👍🎈🍾🦩
