OMG the Deputy PM looked a fright walking along Downing Street this afternoon.

Showwaddywaddy called and want their suit back!! 🤣

She looks like she either has no bra on or a badly fitting one. Her boobs are almost down to the waistband of her trousers.

tickingbird am not sure what is meant here what is pathetic and so on.
All opinions on AR and her trouser suit are on here, the comments disliking it and the comments from those who may well dislike it but don’t want to say it as it somehow detracts from ‘the sisterhood’ in their view or don’t like any criticism of AR at all.
There isn’t a lot more to say on the subject really so it’s morphed into a chat about green things😄 Summer dresses and similar.

These are my recent maxi dress purchases, they look better on than on a hanger 🤣

I love them! Just the job for a hot day, do you want to say where you bought them?

The plain one is from Boden and the patterned one is from M & S.

Honestly, I don't know if that's what I'm referring to. As I said, I was new, and learning my way around, and from that perspective I found that when 'Some Posters'* got sick of a thread they just talked about kittens or something to drown out others who wanted to have a say, maybe because they'd been out all day when the kitten talkers had had their own. It nearly drove me away.

It’s happening on this thread and is pretty pathetic tbh. I’m surprised at some of the contributors.

Red-heads are going to have a good summer, it seems (my DiL).

The babies and animals having accents is fascinating.

Joseann posted a pic of her green and white Summer dress,
How about others doing the same if they’ve bought a new one lately? Doesn’t have to be green and can be a pic of the dress on a model or hanger, we don’t want to out ourselves.😄
Just a thought as it may give us ideas and where to buy it.
That’s if we get some Summer weather to wear it.😖

I see Mrs Starmers clothes are from the same place. Me and Em.

I think Daddima has already sent a baby Orla link.

Here's a infant talking "scouse"

And an article about it.

I have asked for thread to be closed but Mods say they are going to let it run because so many people have contributed and it would “be a shame.” They cannot close a thread and they don’t want to delete it.

My Mum’s favourite song was “40 shades of Green” by Daniel O’ Donnell. ☘️☘️☘️

So yes, the mother's voice would certainly influence the child's intonation.

Here’s Orla-

Don’t close it down Primrose. It’s taken a pleasant turn, a gentle chat but still open to anyone who wants to comment on what went before.
Closing down threads which expose nastiness just allows people who have been nasty to hide behind ‘I’m always kind, check my history’.

Interesting the bit about picking up sounds while in the womb. When I was pregnant I watched Neighbours with my feet up, a cup of tea and rested for half an hour. When DS was born he used to fall asleep when the Neighbours tune came on - twice a day! Peace!

NotSpaghetti Mon 08-Jul-24 12:29:29

Here's another article about cry intonation.
The original study was years ago (I want to say 2007?) and only 60 babies -
There are newer studies now as obviously the use of AI makes analysis of the sounds of newborns so much easier.
