Anywhere you would have liked to visit? Anywhere not ?

Primrose53 Even though we have had a second home in France for 33 years and still visit, I know exactly how you feel. I feel the same about Italy.

I have been there once on business, in and out in two days, but never had any desire to go there otherwise.

I think I must be the only person in the world to have never visited France. Been to lots of other countries but never the slightest bit interested in France,

Would never visit poor countries because it would upset me too much, so India is out. Too many friends have come back with tales of shocking poverty.

I am very lucky to be able to travel anywhere I like so I will have a think but don’t like long hauls.

Australia , New Zealand, South America and Canada are on my bucket list.
I would like to visit India but my DH won’t go because he’s prone to an upset stomach .
Cairo and the pyramids were a disappointment. And I hated Tunisia .
South Africa I loved and would love to return .
For those with no interest in the USA . New England in the Fall is stunning as are the National Parks. The USA is much more than Florida and New York.

Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. The 'stans have always fascinated me too, but have never and am unlikely to ever visit any of them. I am saving to go to New York and I hold out hope that I will visit India one day.

There is nowhere that springs to mind that I wouldn't go, although I wouldn't choose an All Inclusive family resort these days - unless I was taking the GC and then I would probably go and enjoy them for what they are...

Forgot to say, I still love Greece and really used to want to visit Iceland, but put off a wee bit now by volcanoes.

I would loved to have visited New Zealand, two of my great aunts went to live there in 1909 and 1912.
I have no desire to visit the USA or India, my DH travelled the world for work and the tales he told me put me off.

Patagonia, the Sub Antarctic islands and Antarctica. I'm not fit enough to be getting in and out of zodiac dinghys now or I would have gone on a Heritage Expedition.
I've been to Aussie a few times but I'm not that keen.
Going up to Darwin might be more interesting.

Dh and I have travelled extensively, most areas for me except China and S America, though dh has been to several SA countries for work. It’s never appealed to me, I don’t know why. I still have absolutely no desire to visit China.

I loved India and Indonesia, but no desire any more to re-visit, but that’s largely down to the fact that I now really dislike the whole hassle of planes and flying, especially long haul, though I’ll ‘suffer’ it within Europe, or on the comparatively easy flight to Boston, to see sister who lives on Cape Cod.

We planned something I had wanted to do since I was a child, a cruise around the Greek Islands and a cruise down the Nile both bought to a halt by first Covid, then cancer then finally death of my dear husband. .

Oh dear. That reminds me of when I took up the offer of samples of Turkish Delight from a market stall in Tunisia.

I was really sick, and only had two days before flying home.
I was desperately worried the "other end" might start!!!

I think the thing wrong with salad in Morocco is it would be washed in the tap water not bottled water

I used to want to visit the USA but not any more. I did however have a weekend in New York for my 55th birthday. I would still like to visit New Zealand but it won't happen now. I have never wanted to visit Africa or any Middle Eastern country and have heard bad things about China. Russia might have interested me once, especially St Petersburg but definitely not now. I have been to most countries in Europe and to Sydney 3 times. Loved them all. In any case I am stuck in the UK now due to age and infirmity.

I had a really upset stomach in Morroco, which I put down to the salad, too.

They made marvellous salad sculptures at dinner time, then it dawned on me it was the same salad items that had been part of the dinner the day before.

I will never go to India as a few colleagues went and all ended up with serious stomach bugs. Some still have stomach problems years later. Paul Ogrady went there with a full TV crew and ended up in hospital with a stomach bug and probably had the v best hotel and food.
Also Morocco where my AC was seriously ill after eating salad on a trip organised by their 5* hotel. They were hospitalised on return. Told them to only eat hot cooked food but as it was 5* thought they would be ok.

I lived in Singapore when I was 8 - 10 and planned to go back for my 70th birthday this year ... but that was before my poorly cat needed very expensive surgery! Oh well!

Round the world cruise? I would love to do a round-the-world cruise but am worried about rough seas and storms. My cousin spent a week in her cabin when she did a cruise to Norway in December. What sort of medical support do they have if things go wrong? Aren't I a worrier?

When I worked on cruiseships we had a doctor and nurse aboard. We had a helipad for emergency evacuations. I remember one cruise to Alaska where the whole ship had been booked by elderly people and extra body bags we're ordered ... just in case.

If I could have a magic sofa, that flew me to all the places I fancy seeing, I'd love that.
Just seeing would be enough for a lot of places.

at the age of about 4 I said I wanted to go to machu piccu and ulan Bator (capitol of outer mongolia) Well for various reasons I never managed to get to either although did live abroad and visit many places. for health reasons regretfully dont think I shall get the chance to go there now, but you never know. I was 79 yesterday so have another year before the wretched insurance means that i cant afford to go anywhere. Who knows I might win the lottery (when you see pigs flying overhead!!) or meet a handsome stranger who will whisk me off on a grand world tour!! Ah well my beloved Yorkshire has much to enjoy so shall carry on enjoying the dales and the coast!

Someone mentioned the airports and difficulties there. I agree with that. Most are fine but they do seem to attract certain staff with Attitude. I nearly always get searched because I set their lousy machines off. No idea why, must be my electric personality 😀😀

I’d like to see the gigantes de Nazare (huge waves off the coast of Portugal), but I’m not sure my health will allow it. The best view is on a long pier with a lighthouse at the end.

Have been very lucky to have been able to visit, and stay in local areas, thanks to family, and not just in Europe.
Would really like to visit America, find our joint history faacinating, and believe me they are not all Trump voters, the Americans I know are warm and welcoming. So who knows.

We have had many holidays in the USA and Canada over the years, we mainly did road trips visiting many places and met lots of lovely people, we used to love planning them. Oregon and Washington state was our favourite trip.

I would have loved to have visited Japan, both ancient and modern.

Don't really have a passion for travel but do particularly like France. Not sure what the fuss about Australia is and have not been to USA, you couldn't pay me to go to Vegas. No place like home!
