Anywhere you would have liked to visit? Anywhere not ?

We were going to India for a long tour, then Covid hit, think we have probably decided not to go now 🥲

There is one place I will never revisit and that is Pattaya, Thailand. I loved other parts of Thailand, but Pattaya is just too seedy.

Have been very lucky to have been able to visit, and stay in local areas, thanks to family, and not just in Europe.
Would really like to visit America, find our joint history faacinating, and believe me they are not all Trump voters, the Americans I know are warm and welcoming. So who knows.

Norway for me too but I have yet to go there. Also Sweden, Denmark, Finland and Iceland.
I would also love to visit Rotorua in New Zealand as one of my grandfathers grew up there. I have rellies in Sydney so it would be nice to pay them a visit too.

Thailand has never appealed to me nor Morocco or Algeria. Though I did enjoy a trip to Egypt many years ago.

I always feel I haven’t seen enough of Germany. So much great music and culture originated there, but somehow we always seemed to go to France or Switzerland. Too late now, sadly.

Would love to visit Iceland which will see a total eclipse in 2026, Greenland and Japan, mainly Aoshima (cat island) and Okinawa. For some reason unknown to me I also have a thing about Sardinia, so hoping to get there one day.

If the world were a different place I would have to have gone to many places in North Africa and the Middle East, in particular Egypt, I was quite close when I went to Israel but we were told if we went there we couldn't come back into Israel where we were based. Also on my list would be Morocco, Lebanon, Jordan Syria, Iraq and Iran again stressing if they weren't the dangerous places they are. I was poised to go to Istanbul with a boyfriend of mine when I was about 19 in the end he went with his friend, he thought I might be hassled, lame excuse. Although we did go travelling around Europe together a year or so later.

I've been to many countries I wanted to go to, swathes of the US, Canada, Mexico, Mauritius,South America, Australia, but would have still liked to have seen more of all of those places,. Also we, husband and I, had NZ on our list but so far have just talked about it, I'm not sure either of us can hack long hauls anymore. I don't even like flying to Europe these days, I'd rather take a train if I could. Nearer home, I'd like to see more of Scandinavia including Iceland, I've been to Denmark.

I've only been to Singapore in the Far East and apart from Japan, which I won't get to now, It wasn't high up on my list of travel desires. I've never particularly wanted to go to Russia or China, or Dubai. India once but not anymore.

On balance I'm very happy to have seen some wonderful parts of the world, so as the old adage goes "mustn't grumble"

I have been so lucky to be able to see so many wonderful countries during our married life but sadly my husband is no longer with me, he died 10 years ago after 50 years of marriage.

Our eldest son and his partner take me away every year for a weeks holiday abroad or in the UK for which I am so very grateful for, but as you are now asking where would I love to visit, the answer would be, I have no idea. My husband and I travelled for so many years together and I honestly cannot think of anywhere I would love to visit. I am just happy to be taken anywhere by our family, whether for a few days away or a day out.

I'd like to visit Northern Scotland. I wouldn't want to go abroad - anywhere.

Always wanted to go to some areas of Russia, but have resigned myself to that not happening. May get to some of the ‘stans next summer, which will be cool.

I doubt there’s anywhere I’d not go in the right circumstances, but places I’ve never really prioritised include Australia (I have been to Sydney for a long weekend though) and most North African countries,

The Holy Land, wanted for many years to visit, certainly not possible now.

I have lived abroad and travelled quite a lot but two places I did not manage to get to were Macchu Picu in Peru and Ulan Bator In outer mongolia. I was quite an early reader and told my family when I was 5 that I wanted to go to those places! Loved istanbul and many other places. Never wanted to go to usa and still dont but was meant to go to live in Brazil but ended up in damascus instead. So would live to get out to any south american countries. I have recently been to the arctic and been right up to Spitzbergen which was great. Fred Ohlsen are really great. Smaller ships, very well organised, great library, pool, card room good food etc.I used to sail my own old yacht all over and miss it but Fred Ohlsen is the best of the cruise people in my opinion. This will be my last year of going any long distance as am 79 tomorrow and at 80 they charge you far too much for insurance so will be happy to tr5avel more locally by car or train then . Keep going to things as long as you can, you never know how life will pan out and travelling around in my own way is what I enjoy. Travelling alone you do mix with everyone and dont just talk english to others in your party. if I win the lottery I shall be travelling even more but dont think that is likely.

I have been to most of the Asian and South Pacific countries out our way ,and New Zealand of course. I loved Raratonga, so relaxed and would go there again. Nothing is that close to Australia,though, even other parts of Australia are a longish plane ride away. When I lived in Europe I never appreciated how close everything is- wish I had my time there over again! How good is it to travel from Eastern Europe across to France, Germany, Holland. Wonderful.

I went on a school trip in ‘66 to St Petersburg, then Leningrad.
It was absolutely stunning and the beauty of it has always remained with me. We also visited Stockholm and Helsinki and I can’t remember anything of those.
I’d persuaded DH (he didn’t like/do holidays) to go to Canada, ride the Rocky Mountaineer, then a whale watching Alaskan cruise, but his health deteriorated and it never came to fruition.
I won’t go on my own, because of the memory of how it should’ve been.

I feel I’ve missed out on travel, especially when speaking to friends, but that’s life, isn’t it?

When I was at school I decided that one day I'd like to go to Egypt and see the pyramids and also visit Moscow (after seeing pictures of the Kremlin).

I have never visited Egypt, despite being offered a job there at one point. Also I went off the idea of Moscow.

I never wanted to go to the U.SA, but I have been to various places there, and have no interest in going again. Vancouver, in Canada I loved and would happily visit more of Canada.

Another place that I would love to see again would be Lebanon.

Not a specific place, but I would like to go somewhere and see the Northern lights (without being cold).

I have always wanted to visit India but DH is rather worried that our compromised immune systems might not cope well.

I have never wanted to visit Russsia!

Well I go to Australia every year because my DD lives there. We’ve seen a lot of it- more than my son in law. Some of it is spectacular some of it pretty boring. Never been to Uluru though or swum with whales in Ningaloo bay.
We travelled a lot when I was young but never to the places that were quite near to the U.K. so I’d like to visit the Scandinavian countries.

I have never wanted to go abroad, oh and I always took our holidays in Scotland, driving along the northern coast is lovely,,clear blue sea and white sand...

I've been to South Africa, 5 years ago, Cape Town, Stellanbosch, and Johannesburg and Zambia 10 years ago.
Africa is stunning, the people very friendly in spite of their , somtimes very hard life. Went to an an amazing Cocktail Bar in Cape Town, we were made very welcome everywhere we went in Africa, the food was amazing. Feel sad its in turmoil again.

I travelled the world as a child as we lived in NZ but came to and fro to UK by plane and by ship. Not long stops but enough to have a flavour of the various countries. I loved Beirut for some reason. Gorgeous food and climate. I've not been back but one DiL is part Lebanese so there's an added interest.

My grandparents are buried in NZ and in Burma. Never been to Burma.

My DS emigrated to NZ so I have been several times to see him including early this year. He has travelled a lot so I live vicariously. He's here now on a visit.

DB is in Denmark so I have travelled around Scandinavia over the years. I'm just home from the far north of Jutland.

I have not been to the Americas unless you count the Panama canal.
Canada sounds amazing.

I have a nephew in Finland now.

We had holidays in France for 10 years when my in-laws owned a house in the far South.

Never been to Russia or any of the former Soviet Union or much of Africa but I have no ambition to now.

I'll just watch the travel programmes

I never wanted to go to the USA, but loved it when I did. I have always wanted to go to Japan, at cherry blossom time, and I would love to see the Atacama.
Not too keen on very hot countries though. I’m rubbish in the heat

I, too, would like to visit Norway 🇳🇴 one day, but the place l would like to visit more than anywhere else would be Italy 🇮🇹. I would go in April or October rather than high summer, though, as I get sunburnt easily enough in the UK!
