Strangest thing you have ever eaten

Oh yes, TerriBull - andouillette! We were told in Amiens that it was a particular local delicacy and decided to try it. It came in a very strongly flavoured mustard sauce but even that couldn't mask the appalling smell and taste of the sausage. The restaurant manager was quite distressed at our lack of appreciation for this fine cuisine!

My French SiL tried to warn me off andouilettes once, but I’ll give (almost) anything a go once.
There was certainly an ‘interestingly’ strong flavour, but I didn’t find them too bad.
I wouldn’t bother again, though.

Camel, as a child in Egypt, my father ordered a steak and this was served, and Python, caught by the gardener under our house in Penang. My mother had a handbag and shoes made from the skin !

Many years ago, we had supper at some neighbours house. She produced a book of unusual recipes, and supper came from there. Apple, egg and onion fried up together. Not the best thing I`ve ever tasted!

Andouillette, strangest and also the worst thing I've eaten. French sausage made from innards, an acquired taste, very acquired, it smells vile like a latrine. Although I hasten to add, that alone is contrary to pretty much
the other food I've eaten in France, which has generally been delicious.

In the Seventies I went to a party organised by some Australian girls. It was a bleak do to say the least, but the food was something else……spam wrapped around cold mashed potato and spiked with a cocktail stick!

Lucky enough to have traveled a fair bit. Did a foodie tour in Ho Chin Minh. That included fermented eggs and various other delights. I tried crocodile in Australia. The most unusual was cat food after a night out with my flat mate…..we came home hungry and searched the cupboard opened what we thought was a can of seafood something that she’d brought back from Lanzarote, as we were eating it and looking more intently at the can we realised. Not nice.
