The Scottish exam results are due to come out tomorrow. We have several DGC/step DGC who are waiting for National 5, Higher and/or Advanced Higher results, and the tension is rising. Best wishes to all the DGC of Gransnetters in the same position!

As a retired English teacher, I used to await results day with hope and trepidation. It was always lovely when pupils did well. I wish all Scots who are involved in the process (pupils, parents, grandparents and teachers) a happy day tomorrow

I remember those days well!

We had a lovely postman, who knocked every door and wished all the children Good luck. Sadly he died, very young.

One year, we heard that BBC Scotland were coming to film my son's friend opening his results. (He had achieved six straight As in his Highers),
J. our new postman, was all spruced up in his pressed, tailored shorts, crisp shirt and newly shaven head, all prepared to be filmed handing over the results..
The whole cul d sac was up early, waiting in great anticipation for the film crew, they never turned up. A bigger news item, meant they were needed elsewhere. 🤣

Sending best wishes to all, awaiting results.

Good luck to all and spare a thought for those students who received an email from SQA with blank results as reported by the BBC today.

Some of ours had that, Grantanow. Not a kind thing to do to the poor souls! So far some results better than expected, others not as good as hoped for. At least the waiting is over!

England, Northern Ireland and Wales A Level results Thursday 15 August. GCSE results Thursday 22 August. Good luck to all.

Best wishes to all those in Scotland who have results already.

I remember that day all too well. Actually, when I look back, I think I was more nervous when my children were waiting for their results than I was for my own.
