What a lovely new kitchen, thank you soop and everyone who makes this such a comforting place to be
9 year old DGD is fast asleep, we’ve been busy doing Lego and watching tv at the same time. Earlier today I enjoyed coffee and a catch up with my pal, then a bit of shopping
Good to see you posting SueD and thanks for all your news. It sounds like you’ve been really busy sorting out the house, what a long ordeal it’s been for you all, I don’t think I could have coped as well as you. So good that your DS is coming to visit, enjoy the time together and pleased to hear he’s doing well and congratulations to your DD too!
A very well done to your DGS grannmarie you must all be very proud of him, hope Uni goes well

A lovely new kitchen! Pavlova anyone!

My delightful 8-year old granddaughter has worn me out today! Cluedo, card games etc… it didn’t help that I had a migraine for the first time in a while, but a sumatriptan helped.

I’m all tucked in, well actually it’s the sheet off and the air con on for a while and I thought I’d catch up with you all now instead of waiting till tomorrow. It’s like having a hug from everyone, TOYA night night.

Dear Mr Soop arrive home at 6:pm, having left at 7:am. The Pass was closed en-route to Glasgow, hence the coach was diverted. On the return journey, it had reopened.

Three nurses removed the scalp dressing and attempted to clean the very nasty lesions. They were undecided about how to proceed further. He has therefore to return to Glasgow on Tuesday next. The next appointment will be with the skin-graft surgeon.

This morning, quite unexpectedly, the lesions began to bleed. He had blood trickling down his neck. He has just this moment left to see the nurse at the local surgery.

Bless him, he still has to have the abdominal aortic aneurysm measured and keep an appointment at the Cancer hospital for his latest lymphoma update. Both will take place later this month. I shall accompany him and we'll stay over at the Premier Inn (for the obligatory fish, chips and mushy peas).

Tomorrow...ta da...I shall celebrate my 83rd birthday. In spirit, I am youthful. In body, I am otherwise. I continue to count my many blessings.

We have treats planned. Why not? At some point, I shall raise a glass of cheer to every one of you amazing lot. Just imagine if we could all get together to have a proper knees-up.

I shall return on Friday to update you. In the meantime, my very best wishes are winging their way across the miles.

I am frustrated beyond belief today.
I had arranged to take a friend out for a birthday meal.
She, like, Soop, was 83 a few days ago.
We are promised protest marches with possible trouble very close to the venue.
We have been advised to rearrange which we have done.
My GD has been sent home from work mid afternoon as the time they would be leaving coincides with the timing of the troubles.
We understand this has affected hundreds of people and businesses.
Why oh why is this happening in our country?
We are living in interesting times as the Chinese curse goes.
I hope the Urms are on their way with no problems and the poorly ones amongst us are coping with all that is being sent to try them.

I had a lovely unexpected afternoon with DD2, she messaged asking if I wanted to meet for a coffee as she had some time off work, I don’t get an invitation that often so jumped at the chance! Caught up on all her news, she’s still waiting for the buyers for her house to sell their own home so her house move is taking a long time but she’s ok with it - for now!

Good evening Kitcheners. It's been very windy here all day. Soop I hope poor Mr Soop managed to be seen by the nurse. Hulahoop well done you! Jaxjacky I love sausages and mash, especially if made by someone else.
Today I was deteriorating to be lazy but ended up achieving a lot. I cleared out toys from the boys' bedroom/toy room which they have outgrown. I gave it a good clean too. Then I sorted the outdoor toys and them in the summer house. Did about of weeding and pruning while I was outside. I emptied and loaded the dishwasher. I cleaned the bathroom and hoovered throughout. Then did an ironing and put the clothes away. I made a puff pastry pizza for dinner from leftovers and it was really tasty. I'm sitting down now, but tomorrow I'll wash down all the kitchen surfaces and make more lime curd. I hope everyone has a peaceful evening. I'm thinking particularly of Annsixty. Stay safe.
