Wishing you a Happy Birthday Grammaretto 🎂🎉
Thankyou for all the lovely birthday greetings . I am having a really nice day. I had an unexpected visit from DGS with his mum. He played happy birthday to me on the church organ. He has just begun learning but sounds wonderful to me.
Shame about the Summer house Roses. It's been a long time since my ceiling fell in and the repair process is taking forever. 4 months so far.
Happy Birthday, Grammaretto. Congratulations to the students.
A late good morning to all. Sunny here but thankfully a little cooler.
Your comments on your neighbour’s sycamore tree Georgesgran struck a note with me. Our then neighbours planted a eucalyptus tree and a bamboo right next to our fence a few years back. They’ve since moved and the next neighbour kindly allowed my DH to remove the eucalyptus (it was pushing over our fence). The bamboo remains …….
DGS1 had excellent A level results and is currently abroad with his family, as is my DD with her family, whereas DH and I will be going to the IOW for a few days later on.
Good morning all, happy birthday grammaretto and congratulations to all the exam passers, DD's NewMan's middle son among them. What an exciting time!
A grey day here on the Angus coast, and decidedly cool. The birds are feasting on the rowan's and I fear autumn has crept in quietly.
A lovely morning at tai chi, but boy was I tired afterwards! I had an 'out-for-the-count' nap in the afternoon. I'm going to have to learn not to go shopping after classes.
Today is just a pottering, this 'n that day while I search for my mojo which is definitely in hiding.
Enjoy your away days tomorrow, Mick and NanyJ, and everyone enjoy today x
Happy birthday Grammaretto 🎂🥂
Yes, the summerhouse is still under construction <sigh>, it needs the roof finishing (it is watertight) and the interior done.
The carpenter is doing his best, fitting me in when he can, but I am getting impatient and more than a little fed up with how long everything is taking. The whole sorry saga started in April 🤷🏼♀️ He is doing a great job but……….
Just checked back in, congratulations to your A level candidates as well harrigran!
Good Morning from Lancashire! Bit fresh and cool now - it was sunny when I got up!! But clouded over now.
We have a few days to ourselves as the GCs are all away on holiday -so can sort the toy box, clean up generally and just chill - safe in the knowledge that we can do exactly whatever we want when we want!! I thought I might have a lie in this morning but still woke up with the dickie birds - old habits die hard!!
So got up anyway and have had a blissful time this morning with a brew and my laptop. Sorted a few bills. Put in a review for a shocking hotel that we didn't stay in! Fussed the cat - who disappears normally at the sound of the GCs. Now waiting for the 'Blind Man' to come and give a quote for replacement blinds. Might just get another brew and carry on surfing - life is peaceful today!!
Happy Birthday Grammaretto enjoy your special day! 💐❤️🎉🥂
Good morning all from a sunny Black country, torrential rain when we left our friends yesterday evening which made for an unpleasant motorway journey home.
Today we are going on the Birmingham bear hunt with the boys then back to theirs for dinner/tea, we will be looking after them this evening date night for mum and dad.
Happy birthday Grammaretto 🎂🎉.
Enjoy your Friday everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️
Good morning from a sunny Glasgow…at the moment!
A lovely day yesterday with the arrival of DS3 and his girlfriend. We took them for a nice Italian meal with tiramisu to die for! 😋
Today they leave to go down the coast but want us to go with them for lunch…would love to but also have to strip their bed for return of DS1 and his family tonight. This 90th party tmrw is going to be lovely but boy is it tiring with the revolving door of sons/visitors….and in typical boy fashion no one is thinking of the bed stripping involved but me! 😬
Enjoy ur day!
Morning from the edge of South Lanarkshire where I am still in residence. Little dog is no worse at the moment, it’s been a peaceful week. DD is taking the morning off today and taking me to buy and ‘sort out’a new phone, a feat which I am ashamed to say is completely beyond me.
Pleased to read about your DGC successful A level results Gingster and Liberty and your granddaughter’s decision to decide on and manage her change of course independently of her parents Liberty, it augurs well for her.
Happy birthday Grammeretto! I hope you enjoy your day.
Hope the day trips go well too Mick and NannyJan, York is lovely.
Wishing everyone a Good Friday.
Happy birthday, Grammaretto and hope we all have a good day. We are promised sunshine all day so after the oldies’ coffee morning I plan to read outside. Am waiting for a man to come to investigate printer problems - there is always something not working, or so it seems.
Good morning from a sunny NE where it is cooler, the heating came on during the night.
Yesterday was a happy day for the family, both GD and her boyfriend got their A level results and both have their places at their chosen universities.
My sister visited during the afternoon, she turned up with pot plants and told me they were for my kitchen window sill. She really does not know me, I never have flowers or plants in the house because most of the family have hay fever.
Nothing planned for today so maybe some time with my book.
Happy Birthday Grammaretto 💐
Good morning Mick and everyone from sunny Carlisle, there are clouds on the horizon though...
Yesterday we had heavy rain most of the day...so depressing and gloomy. We finally had sun in the late afternoon. I couldn't settle to anything very useful so mostly read my book.
Today I am going to drive out on a round of errands, I need this and that from here and there! I may well be out in the garden later if it's still fine.
Happy Birthday Grammaretto, wishing you an enjoyable day.
And have a good day everyone.
🎂 Many Happy Returns Grammaretto have a lovely day 🥳
Wishing you a brilliant birthday Grammaretto 🎂🎉
Grammaretto 🎂🍾 Enjoy!
Happy birthday to Grammaretto.
Good morning Mick and all from Cloudy Chambers northwest coast.
Two friends are moving house at the moment, I don’t envy then, particularly as my house resembles the V&A museum in terms of stuff. One FaceTimed me last night as I lay in bed watching my new tv and she had a good moan re job and moving. The other friend arrives tomorrow for an overnight stay, a break from packing boxes.
Today to the optician to order my contact lenses. It’s a complicated prescription, so better to go in with it rather than over the telephone, also a food shop.
Glad to hear the news from LLFL and baubles yesterday and thoughts to all🌺
Morning from sunny S Hants, 16, we had more rain yesterday, much needed.
Where are you off to tomorrow Mick?
I hope that move continues smoothly brook
Yesterday we had a free hour of electricity from Octopus, so the washing machine was busy and the oven.
Tesco delivery this afternoon and pub catch up tonight.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. 12°C but hopefully it will warm up.
I'm working this morning but have a friend coming for dinner tonight and have plans to go the Edinburgh Fringe tomorrow evening plus a meal afterwards. It's my birthday. None of my family are around this time but I'm going with a coupleof pals.
Marydoll you do make me laugh with your family antics! Thankyou. 😂 🤣
Is the summerhouse still under construction Roses?
Have the best day you can everyone.
Good morning from s somerset, it is glorious and sunny today
Yesterday was another good day, I am slowly getting the garden autumn-ready, I still remember having to wash pots and oil garden tools in the family home and always in cold wet weather so I don`t leave those chores as there is no magic fairy here
I used silicone lubricant on all the external doors and windows, another annual job out of the way and I went on a cycle ride first thing. All done by 12 and I pushed a lot of lurking spiders back from door frames. One was big and shiny and scary and others had very long `spidery` legs
No idea for today, apart from the last of my hand sewing plus a local walk
Have a good day
Good morning from a cooler Suffolk where it looks like we had rain in the night. I was so hoping for it as I decided not to water the pots last night and hope that rain would do it for me.
We are out for lunch with friends who have recently received unexpected and sad news about J’s health. So far he is quite well but it is unknown how long this will last. He has stopped driving and R doesn’t so we are going a bit further afield for lunch which they are looking forward to.
DGD1 got the A level grades she was hoping for and had decided a few days before to change her course from psychology to law. She has always dithered between the 2. She is a quiet reserved girl and I have been impressed by how she has dealt with both UCAS and the university to organise the change( with no interference from her parents).
Hope all our GC were happy with their results yesterday.
Good morning everyone from sunny Severnside.
Yesterday I had my annual review and then picked up my prescription. Following that I then went and did my weekly shop. Lots of campers in the store car park.
I’m going to see Beechnutella this morning and have plans to go a different way for a change.
Have a good day all 🪻🌞
