Just read all your posts of the last 2 days and have seen the very sad newsKalu about your beloved husband. I’m sure from your earlier messages that he knew and felt your deep love for him during his illness.
Also hope your DD Kitty is responding well to her hospital treatment and your worries about your DD Gingster are totally unfounded.
I'm impressed by the crumble Marydoll. My total apple crop has been three from two trees! I may move them to my allotment for next year. (If anyone's interested, Marydoll and I purchased the same patio fruit trees.)
Sending Kalu my sincere condolences, love and prayers. Like you I recently lost my DH, best friend and rock. Please take things steady and embrace the love and support you have from your family, its priceless ❤️💐💐
Good morning from another beautiful Suffolk day( although less sunny in our house!).
I’m presently in our local library using the WiFi . DH had the bright idea on Monday of seeing what Sky WiFi was like. Apparently it is part of our package even though we are,I believe, in a contract with Vodafone for at least another 12 months.
So now we’ve.ost the link to Vodafone and Sky won’t connect to my devices as we don’t,ie he, have a password! He is normally very thorough and care ful but,in connection with this issue,no success yet. I think our very helpful computer man is on standby to come tomorrow if all else fails.
So I’ll wish you all well, read your posts and hope to rejoin you from home soon.
Good morning all from the Scottish Borders. A bit brighter today and may get the grass cut and washing dry.
Deepest sympathy to Kalu . Wishing you strength as you face the days ahead.
I hope your DD will be well soon Kitty. Such a worry.
Sorry for Mick who seems to be having a tough time.
Well done Baubles tackling admin. I must sort some of mine.
I had an OK day yesterday. Lots going on here with visitors and a potential sale of my house.
Today is my lovely yarn group and a new project to begin.
Have the best day possible everyone.
Glad things ok Pittcity enjoy your coffee meetup☕
Good Morning from Durham. It’s very windy here.
Today, DD2 is 41 - I’m so proud of her achievements, after a life changing childhood incident.
I’m meeting her, DD1 and their boys for a late lunch, when gifts will be exchanged - it’s DD2’s half birthday! Later, I’ll bring Little Dog home with me - DD2 goes away on Friday, so that helps her DH, who isn’t well and has DGS2 to look after.
I’m sorry to hear of other DDs who aren’t doing so well. Mick hope you have a better day. 🥀Kalu
Best wishes to all. X
I'm still here and about to leave for our weekly ladies coffee meetup.
I had a couple of PMs concerning being missing from the GM thread.
Life has gotten in the way but I still read the GM thread, usually in the evening and comment onother threads as and when.
Sending love to all and especially Kalu and Kitty 🦩
Lots of high cloud and warmth promised so some gentle pottering in the garden today since there is nothing else scheduled. Thoughts with all with worry and sadness and health concerns.
Good morning everyone from an overcast Northampton, where we must have had some rain overnight. Hope it dries.up quickly, as I'm planning on cutting the grass this afternoon.
A good walk yesterday in pleasant company, followed by a welcome sit-down and coffee. Met a friend who had just got off the bus I was hoping to catch, so stopped and had a chat with her, as I would have missed the bus anyway!
Sat in the garden and read when I got back.
Tidying up and dust removal in the sitting room this morning - guess what, I have a friend coming for coffee!
Tagliatelle Bolognese for dinner tonight, easy, as I just have to get a home-made portion out of the freezer and reheat.
Wishing all a good day.
Hope things settle down soon for your daughter Kitty
Another poster missing is Pittcity thoughts with all missing posters 👋
Good morning from an overcast NE. It must be fairly mild as the heating did not come on.
Did a big grocery shop yesterday, filled the fridge only to find out that the family have plans to eat out this weekend.
DD had problems travelling from Brussels, Eurostars were delayed due to an accident with a farm vehicle on a level crossing. She missed her connection in King's Cross and had to get a later train.
Sister and BIL may visit this afternoon but won't need to go shopping so we will just stay in and have a chat.
GD is flying home from Menorca today, I received more photos yesterday where she looked so happy and relaxed.
Thoughts are with Kalu.
Morning, 19 in S Hants, the sun is trying through high cloud, my back is slow to heal, probably age, being tall doesn’t help.
I’m glad your daughter is home kitty and in the best place.
Yesterday was more pottering, MrJ cut the grass, today I must go to the library as they’re holding a book for me and there’s washing to do.
I too thought Urms would be back, still missing Whitewave and Blossoming 👋
Kalu 🥀x

Good morning from a cloudy warm Fenland. I’ve had a very restless night and woken with a high temperature and snuffly nose. Just going to lie low today and hope to shake it off.
Yesterday was a busy one as we took the 10 and 5 year old punting in Cambridge and did the Lego trail in the Grand Arcade. 5 year old was challenging at times as seems to be very tired and needing an afternoon nap. More childcare on the horizon as the school won’t reopen as planned next week due to a fire in the holidays.
Take care everyone and have a good day.
Good morning all from a damp Glasgow.
I am glad to hear your DD is safely, home Kitty, I hope things settle down.
Yesterday was rather busy and fraught.
A received a call from the soap opera star, saying her film crew were filming locally and they needed somewhere to shelter from the torrential rain to have their lunch.
She would have asked the P.P, but of course he is incommunicado.
I ended up racing around Sainsbury's, trying to get back in time.
When I got their the Toddler's group were leaving and before I knew it, I found myself promising to publicise their group, designing posters, advertising on the website and putting a note in the bulletin. I never learn.
I had an interesting talk with the leader, whose husband took his play about Gaudi to the Edinburgh Fringe last week.
I mix in interesting circles!
Later, I went back down to open the hall for the Safeguarding training. To my horror, my key wasn't on the chatelaine ring and the trainers arrived at that moment! I was in a total panic.
I phoned DH, to ask him to check and see if I had dropped it, but DD answered! My lovely DD eventually found it ( it had come off the ring). and kindly brought it down. Panic over.
I got home really late, due to the fact that a lady, who lived miles away, hadn't been picked up. The reason: her husband was in Morrisons in Giffnock , twenty minutes away, buying yoghurts!!! Things were rather tense!
I couldn't leave her on her own, waiting in a secluded and dark car park.
Today, I have an injection delivery. Normally I would need to stay in, but DH is conveniently awaiting a beer delivery and he is authorised to sign for it.
I am going to nake apple crumble from the twig, Mizuna, raspberry and banana muffins for BabyD's breakfast tomorrow and some bread. I certainly won't be bored.
Mizuna, I hope todays appointment goes well and hugs for my pal, Kalu.
Have a good day, folks.
Good morning all. A mixture of cloud and sunshine on the Angus coast today, but no rain supposed to be in the mix.
Thinking of you Kalu
Mick sorry you had a bad day yesterday but I hope today will be better.
Kitty I'm sure now that she's home your DD will soon be over her bad patch and that the holiday will have done her a power of good.
Lovely photos nannyjan - looks very peaceful.
My DGD3 seems to have enjoyed her first day in gay Paris with her friends. I think the Eiffel Tower may well be on today's agenda and I'm sure the shops will not be ignored! Mind you, she's a canny shopper and I don't imagine Paris prices will attract her!
A quiet day here with a washing out and then a few plums to harvest. I had a good night's sleep so I hope I don't fall asleep during Countdown as I so often do!
Have a good day everyone and enjoy these balmy days of autumn 🍁 ☀️🍁
Good morning Mick and everyone from a Carlisle of sun and cloud. As so often lately, a bright start yesterday soon turned into a grey and largely rainy day. It may well be the same today.
I hope today turns out better for you Mick.
I hope it turns out better for me too, I felt grotty all day with my mystery bug and disturbed digestion. My comprehensive blood test showed perfect results though as I knew it would!
I shall carry on pottering through the chores, interspersing them with a bit of reading.
Best wishes to your daughter Kitty. Hopefully, she did enjoy her holiday, brave of her to go.
And the best possible day to you all.
good morning everyone from a rather miserable wednesday morning in North Yorkshire. Had planned to get washing going but it looks as though it is going to rain so going to do some shopping instead, when I can get myself going. Hope you have a better day today Mick. I am struggling still with my back and so hope that this afternoon a trip to the swimming pool will be a help. They have a disabled session where they have various things to help us swim, so fingers crossed it will improve matters. This evening I plan to go to the whist drive so I need to get cracking this morning and get some jobs done here. I did manage to finally get the last of the ironing done yesterday, so that was one good job done . No other great plans but hope to meet my son and his family on saturday so want to collect a few bits and pieces to take with me. Hope you all have a good day and keep dry!
Good morning from a sunny W Kent.
Kalu
Kitty I hope your DD is home soon
Mick hope you have a better day.
We have so many birthdays in September and October I am off on a mass buy up of cards this morning. Tea with a DF this afternoon, we haven’t met for sometime as she is trying to sell her house.
Best wishes and thoughts to all
Good morning from a dull and cloudy Black Country.
Lovely day with my friend at Dudmaston Hall NT property. Extensive grounds where we went for a long walk. Then a walk around the house, where we were given interesting facts by the volunteers there. Lunch in the cafe was huge! Couldn't eat an evening meal later.
No real plans today, and busy Thursday and Friday so a relaxing one.
So relieved for you Kitty that your DD is back safely. Hope treatment means she feels well and home soon.
Hope you are feeling better today Mick
Kalu
Good morning everyone I believe it’s to be a lovely sunny day today here on the east coast of Fife.
I’m hoping to get my lawn trimmed this afternoon it’s beginning to look like it needs a trim with all the rain and heat we’ve been getting.
I’ll be looking out my holiday clothes today, they’ll be needing a little freshening up. Im getting really excited to be going to Sicily in a few days it’s been on my bucket list for years
Keep well my friends have a good day ❤️
A worrying time for you kitty I’m sorry to hear. Hopefully now you DD is home her needs are quickly met to get her back on track.
Good morning all and it’s going to be another hot one. 27 degrees this afternoon. 🥵.
Frustrating morning yesterday with trying to get hold of people on the phone. I started with the vets and held in for 15 minutes before they picked up. Then the hospital for my yearly glaucoma checkup. After 20 minutes I gave up. Next specsavers who picked up but couldn’t help me (phone the hospital, they said) 😬. Phoned dog groomers who didn't pick up, so I went round there only to find it closed. Aggggghhh!
Today I’ll walk the dog and pop in to the hairdressers to make an appointment. They’ll fit me in this afternoon as I only have a dry cut and it takes 20/30 mins.
I’ll meet my friend for coffee and wander round the market. I need some autumn plants for my pots and they have good quality produce.
Kitty I’m glad your daughter got back but sorry she’s now in hospital. They’ll soon sort her out , I’m sure. 💐
Hoping for a better day for you Mick 🤞.
Take care one and all 🌻
Good morning dear friends. A cloudy start to the day in Glasgow is befitting exactly how I feel. Goodness, this is hard but reading all of your lovely caring messages yesterday were so appreciated and I thank you from the bottom of my heart for such very welcome support. x
DD1 came with me yesterday to arrange R’s funeral. The last step to undertake, ensuring his wishes were carried out.
Best wishes to all for a good day especially those struggling through whatever difficulties you are facing.
