In whinge mode

Modern communication.
Drs surgery texted me to say book an appt for annual diabetic check then get blood form from surgery.
Rang to make appt but they said get your bloods done first.
Offered a 4 hour session face to face to help with using their apps but texted it to me 10 mins after session ended.!!
Asked me to make appt for chest infection jab but when I followed the link no appts available.
Good thing I can see the funny side and am not really ill.

We live opposite a lovely park and during the summer many people have enjoyed picnicking there in the nice weather, but when they leave some leave all their litter behind, including used nappies.
My DH and I volunteer with a local group to pick up litter in our area but we really shouldn’t be needed, people should be brought up to pick up their rubbish and if there isn’t a bin handy - though there are many in the park - they should bag it up and take it home.

No. You shouldnt be needed.
It is basic to use a bin.

Please may I have a whinge about people who don't know the safe way to walk on a country road? I was brought up to believe that if there is no pavement, you should walk on the right, so as to be facing oncoming traffic. Some do so round here, but quite a lot of people walk on the left. We noticed that walking on the left was very common when we had a holiday in the Lake District.

Is it that these people drive so often that they think that they are cars? I can't think of another reason for doing something so illogical.

These last few days my winge is Motorcyclists. They all seem to have a death wish. Weaving in and out of the traffic, overtaking on bends and May of them without protective clothing.

Same here. There are so many where I live. They all look the same. Mopeds with L plates and a delivery box on the back, all buzzing around the roads like a lot of angry bees, weaving in and out of traffic, cutting other motorists up at the lights and roundabouts. Thank heavens they don't use the motorways.

When I used to live in rural Berkshire I found a few people did not observe what used to be called the country code. They left gates open, walked across the middle of fields of crops, they walked down the wrong side of the road and let their dogs off the lead when there was livestock around.

This was a very long time ago, it seems not much has changed. End of rant.

I am 5’2” I can park it anywhere with ease and expertise unlike some who have trouble parking a mini within the lines in a car park therefore taking up two spaces 😡

With you all the way on this! I've driven everything from Minis to our motorhome and can park anything on a sixpence. My gripe is with people who have absolutely no spatial awareness when it comes to driving - the ones who either can't park when there's a space big enough to fit about three cars in, or who can't judge the space between oncoming cars.
Oh, and don't get me started on cyclists who think the rules of the road don't apply to them, especially when it comes to red lights!

Pavement parking is illegal here now - and we have had the traffic wardens going around and issuing fines. We still get some culprits, but it has definitely made a difference.

May I have a whinge too? DH has been reorganising his study. Every time he brushes a bit of the floor he brushes the debris as far as the kitchen bin and leaves it there! Three times I've got out the dustpan and brushed it up.

I used to moan about shoppers going through a department store door and not saying think you. So much so that I got into the habit of letting the door go with a push.

Overly dramatic exchanges, like ‘oh my God’ when simply seeing a friend’s new nails, or as with estate agents it seems, simply telling someone your name and address to which they reply ‘fantastic’, ‘amazing’ or ‘awesome’.
Can’t begin to imagine what these people must say when genuinely amazed.

That has started happening around here too.
Alarming a couple of times, to drive around a corner and there they right are, facing you.

Perhaps new rules have been brought out?
I hope not. It seems dangerous to me.

As a rambler who sometimes has to walk on a narrow country road to continue my journey I know that the correct thing to do is to walk towards oncoming traffic and if I see anyone doing otherwise I soon let them know.

Fly tippers!! ....I hate them with a vengeance, selfish, lazy cretins with no regard for the countryside or wherever they dump their stuff

Dog owners who let their dogs off lead and let them run riot and say "it's alright he's friendly" when they come racing up to me and my timid little pup

Dog owners (again) who think there's a poo fairy who comes along and unhooks their dog's poo bags off trees and bushes and makes them disappear
