Was Barry/Edna ever a poster on this forum, I doubt it.In which case the Aussie being mentioned was a real poster who has now ceased to be one it seems.
Spuddy nothing wrong with a saucy joke if not crass but it does have to be funny. The one you posted missed the mark.

Sorry, don't understand your post Indigo.

Spuddy, not funny at all.

It is not forbidden to mention his name like Volamort is it?

BARRY HUMPHRIES AKA DAME EDNA EVERAGE

I'm really late to the party I'm afraid, must have missed this. Are we saying he went to the 'great billabong in the sky'? Aww so sad 😢 he did ruffle a lot of feathers though didn't he? wink

Don't let them put you off going on GN Spuddy

I agree, but I think you misjudged your audience, Spuddy.

No not funny for me either

When I saw the title my first thought was of the late antipodean too!

Auntieflo Wed 04-Sept-24 09:43:13

Time to Hide this thread.

Aveline

I doubt a child made that joke up.
I still miss the late antipodean. He was of his time.

I realise that it was not a joke written by a child but the implication was that a child said it.

BigBopper Wed 04-Sept-24 09:28:14

This joke did make me chuckle.

What did the banana say to the vibrator?

Why are YOU shaking? She’s going to eat me!

Aveline Wed 04-Sept-24 09:28:08

This so called joke shows that children are no longer children, they know far too much at a very early age. What happened to ignorance is bliss.

Sago Wed 04-Sept-24 09:21:14

I also gritted my teeth when I saw the title.
A late Antipodean used to attempt this kind of humour, it caused great rifts!

eddiecat78 Wed 04-Sept-24 09:19:13

The problem with most "saucy" humour is that it isn't remotely funny - and this is a good example

Marydoll Wed 04-Sept-24 09:18:19

Agree Maw.

I certainly wouldn't have fainted, heard worse.

nanna8 Wed 04-Sept-24 09:16:55

Nah- not funny. Kind of 1950s era.

RosiesMaw2 Wed 04-Sept-24 09:13:50

My heart sank when I saw the thread title.
Who’d a thunk it could sink even further.
Sorry @Spuddy - good try but not good enough.
(Teachers don’t faint these days either )

Oreo Wed 04-Sept-24 09:12:04

Shouldn’t a saucy joke actually be funny?

Spuddy Wed 04-Sept-24 09:10:37

A teacher asked her class ''what is sex?''

Johnny stood up and said:

Sex is a TEMPTATION
caused by a SENSATION
where a boy sticks his LOCATION
into a girl's DESTINATION
to increase the POPULATION
of the next GENERATION.

Did you get my EXPLANATION?
Or do you need a DEMONSTRATION?!

The teacher fainted!
