Oh I love her! She is very excitable and just wants to talk

I love Ellie. She is so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about her sport and she speaks well. If you are talking about this afternoon, she was asked by Claire Balding to share her knowledge and was answering Rose's questions.

I think she’s great - she’s very knowledgeable about the sport and the athletes. Her enthusiasm for the GB team is lovely.

Ellie Simmonds is to Paralympic swimming what Laura Kenny was to Olympic cycling.
An infectious enthusiasm for their sport, coupled with an in depth professional knowledge of what they're talking about.

I agree with you langelei . Ellie talks for far too long. My Dh and I said so just earlier. Couldn’t keep listening to her so turned over.

I must say there is a lot of talking going on but it's the same with all sports coverage. They have to fill in when there's nothing going on. I can't say I've noticed getting over excited, maybe enthusiastic?

I also agree with langelei that she does not know when to stop although I agree she is very knowledgeable about swimming.

But I'm not a fan

Love Ellie but hate the coverage by Channel 4 due to excessive adverts and very poor, inadequate interviewers. The commentators get so much wrong as well.
The athletes are fantastic.

I love Ellie. I was so chuffed when she won “Cooking with the Stars” last week.

I do like Ellie, but it's the frequency of the adverts that gets me. Then I discovered Channel 4 Sports on YouTube.
Several live feeds covering a variety of sports.

I feel bad for saying it but I've stopped watching the games mainly because of the adverts and much as I admire Ellie and have enjoyed her on other programmes the presenters in general have been getting on my nerves far more than during the main Olympics.

It’s the OPs opinion. We are all entitled to them.
If opinions were banned on GN the business would be in serious trouble.
