Good Morning Everyone,
I have woken to a twilight situ but it is dry at the moment here in brackley .
After yesterdays altered plans with the bowel situ , today will do my usual routine with a bus to Bicester and besides shopping hopefully meet others I know .
I will watch a bit of tour of Britain cycle race on TV , but also watch the drama unfold on the Tour of Spain .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast. A broken night with the cat bothering me and loo trips. Also a very romantic dream with someone who is just a friend 😁 Strange how these dreams seem so real…

I became very tired coughing so much yesterday and DD made me a Lemsip. DS was due to come over (25 miles away) but now has covid. I haven’t seen him for weeks so I haven’t picked anything up from him.

DD was out with friends last night and I had a cosy night in, tv, books, throw (and cough). Quiet day again today.
I hope you take your health situation further Mick and thoughts to all🌺

Good morning from a beautiful sunny Glasgow…. not often I get to say that!
Off to meet my old school friend for a coffee and chat (and usually a good moan 😂) at Markies this afternoon .
My usual line dancing group in the church is cancelled tonight so I am going with a friend to a more organised one ….think I’m probably biting off more than I can chew! Co-ordinated I am not! 😂
Enjoy ur day !

Taichinan I too am about to return a M&S purchase which
I did online. It was a jumper and the sleeves would need turning up at least twice for it to fit my arms. Not the look I want!!
Lovely day here in Dunblane hope it continues like this. Hope everyone has the best day they can.

A late good morning from a wet S Hants, set in for the day. What a beautiful view baubles I can sense that lovely clear air.
Yesterday I collected seeds from the forlorn garden plants, hues of brown now, plants will be coming out in the next couple of days. My car needs to be dropped off today, MOT tomorrow, if it’s good and passes I’ll treat it to a wash!
Enjoy your friend visiting Bella.

Morning from a grey, wet Co Durham.
I booked train tickets for sister in law and me to go to Scotland next week, Thursday to Sunday. Last evening I decided to check train and bus connection times, only to find that engineering work on the East Coast line are causing havoc. A two hour train journey will be four plus hours with a bus replacement in the middle !! I think we may come home on Saturday instead. A pity as we had plans for Saturday evening.
I miss our absent posters, hope they’re back soon. Wishing those with health worries get relief and those meeting friends and family have fun.
Cleaner due this afternoon thank goodness, then Pilates tonight.

good morning from a windy grey north yorkshire. Not having a good morning , so creeping around at snails pace. Have a meeting this morning, so need to gee my ideas up but its hard going at the moment. Have kept putting off sorting some things out as am finding it hard making decisions. Its that combination of if I make the wrong choice I will have spent the money and cant change my mind. Sometimes leaving the decision I then find another day I can make a decision and stick to it but at the moment that isnt happening. I still miss my husband for many things but just that simple thing of talking something over with someone else seems to clear your mind. Ah well I shall just go to the meeting and do basic things and then hopefully this afternoon bite the bullet and get things sorted. Have a good day everyone

Another late good morning from Northampton, where it is decidedly chilly with a grey sky and a hint of rain in the air. Feeling thankful I don't have to go out today.

Two loads of washing dried outside yesterday in the lovely sunshine, and I sat out with the newspaper to have my coffee. Went to the well-being cafe after lunch and enjoyed cake and a chat. Finished my book club book when I got back. Now to choose something new from my stack!

Sainsbury's delivery later this morning then I will make a chilli to go in the slow cooker. May take the duster around the bedrooms, but a fairly lazy day ahead.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a rainy NE.
Had quite a busy day yesterday, SIL took me shopping and then we sorted out some admin and updates on my computer.
I received a text message from NHS telling me to go to their portal and download my referral letter, I have an appointment for the 16th in cardiology. Thank goodness SIL was there to sort the printer out.
I will not see him for the usual Sunday dinner as he is going to London for the Proms, DD will get the train from Brussels and meet him there.
Nothing planned for today so I will wrap GD's birthday gift, I have bought her a new ipad to take to university.
Have a good day.

Good morning from a cold Co Armagh, it is bright though
Busy shopping yesterday , not really watching what I was getting ! Big reorganisation of the freezer was needed !
Must be getting mind set for hibernation 🤣
Off to Mass shortly , candles will be lit if I can find the change , I hope I haven’t spent it on frivolity 🤣
While on holiday I couldn’t find my card , I knew it wasn’t lost so wasn’t really that worried , but I did have a scone and a coffee on my tray ! So with gritted teeth I used my phone to pay , my friends were not impressed , they think it’s dangerous?
Enjoy the day x

Good morning from a dull wet Oxfordshire. It must be chilly as the heating came on at 5am.

I spent until 5.30 with a stomach upset, I organised an early food delivery as we were going to go away for a couple of days, safe to say we won’t be going anywhere today.

Heavy rain due later as well, I bought a new jigsaw a couple of weeks ago and forgot about it until Amazon sent me an email asking me to review it, so I’ll get that out today.

Have a good day everyone.

GrannySomerset Thu 05-Sept-24 08:49:03

The threatened rain hasn’t yet appeared but I think an indoor day is necessary. I have to stay in to wait for the electrician who may or may not appear to sort out the reason why my dying coffee machine caused all the electricity to fail. There is always something!

Usedtobeblonde Thu 05-Sept-24 08:27:38

Good morning from Stockport.
Another quiet day only broken up by a haircut this afternoon.

Taichinan Thu 05-Sept-24 08:21:23

Good morning Mick - I'm glad you seem to be feeling better after yesterday - and good morning all. It's a cloudy day on the Angus coast, or at least that's what the weather app says. In actual fact it's sunny and the sky is blue, and the breeze is strong enough to keep any clouds scudding.
After about three weeks of sleeping every night, last night I was back to the two hours max of broken sleep. I hope it's just a blip 🤞. It will be an interesting tai chi class as I'm having to lead the set today as well as teach. It will be a case of the class following me to the ends of the earth, if only out of a sense of curiosity!
I took my too long trousers back to M&S yesterday. There was rail upon rail of trousers in every colour and style and I rolled up my sleeves in delighted anticipation - until I discovered my size/leg length was not available in any of the colours/material that I wanted! I think the whole trouser-buying population of Britain must be a size 16 short. It was a pleasant trip out though and always a nice drive.
Lovely photo baubles - though it looks cold. I think we've waved goodbye to summer for sure.
Have a good day everyone, and enjoy your busy-ness.

Good morning from a wet and grey W Kent. My little art group restarts this morning so a catch up with the group. We also have the electrician and the gardener coming.
Went into town yesterday afternoon but it is now a different place to just a few years ago, I don’t feel quite safe and quickly do my bits and pieces, not great for the local economy.
llfl I have a lovely vision of you surrounded by honey!
Best wishes

Oh, I meant to wish Bella and her friends, happy times together.

Good morning all from acloudy Glasgow, where it is 12°C.
I felt really unwell during the night and still have a blinding headache, Mr MD, of course was oblivious.

I went to the hairdresser's yesterday, to be met with a puzzled look. Another lady said she had an appointment for the same time. Last time I went the same thing happened and it transpired that the customer had turned up an hour early.
This time the customer had turned up a day early! 😂

The day was spent collating the change over information for the arrival of the new Parish Priest tomorrow, no wonder my head is pounding. I have had this headache for days. 😔

This morning I have a meeting with the P..P and also say my goodbyes. His moving has left me very unsettled. Hopefully I will get som bulbs planted.

Enjoy your day folks, whatever your plans.

I wonder how Kalu is. 💐

EkwaNimitee Thu 05-Sept-24 07:48:41

Good morning Mick and everyone from a rather grey Carlisle. In theory, it's supposed to be dry today but we'll see.
I hope it is because I need to get on with things in the garden. My plans for a walk or gardening yesterday didn't happen. My conscience wouldn't let me look at my filthy car any longer so, on an impulse, I went out and washed it. That involved fetching buckets of water as I can't get my outside tap to function. I felt good for giving my halo such a polish! The car's resident spiders weren't happy though.... After all that exertion, I thought I'd earned a respite from hard labour and got on with sitting down jobs.

Today...the garden? If it's wet, I'll just have to get on with more tedious stuff like some admin and I've started a new book though I've realised I've read it before. So far, I remember nothing about how it unfolds. It may or may not get proceeded with.

Have a great holiday, Bonnybanko. And don't forget the suncream!

Have the best possible day everyone.

brook2704 Thu 05-Sept-24 07:47:15

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s still grey but at least it’s dry
Gorgeous view Baubles
I really enjoyed the aqua aerobics yesterday and then a walk by the river into town. This afternoon I’ve an online volunteering session and then 9 year old DGD is coming for a sleepover. My two DGSs in Cambridge went back to school yesterday and DD1 sent me such a gorgeous photo of them both - I’m missing them of course but I’ll soon be seeing them again at the end of the month.
Have a lovely time with your UK friend Bellas
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles hope today is gentle and take care whatever the day brings bring

Good morning from a grey Suffolk with rain forecast,I think, later.

I’m off to my usual stretch class soon. I missed my keep fit class yesterday because of my long morning meeting so always feel stiffer when I haven’t exercised the day before. But I tell myself it must be good for me!

I’m meeting 3 old friends for lunch up the coast so a good catch up is guaranteed. I’m the oldest by a few years and the youngest has children in their 20s so always interesting conversations with different perspectives on some topics.

Hope today is a good one for all.

cornergran Thu 05-Sept-24 07:46:51

Morning Mick, morning All from an overcast corner of Somerset. Heavy rain forecast for the day.

We headed out to a steam train museum yesterday, worth the journey as we love all things steam. We could have stuck with original plans with our friends as a roof wasn’t needed there or here, the promised rain didn’t materialise. Oh well, their decision, a shame though as her suggested day next week looks far wetter. Wait and see time.

A research session at the computer for me today. I love a bit of research, an hour and a break before another hour and it will keep my brain busy.

Have the best day you can everyone. Hope Thursday is kind to us all.
