My heart went out to Camilla

I am mystified as to the purpose of the newspaper printing this photograph, I agree that Camilla will likely not be concerned, but many women would be, and no doubt we will now have a panel of 'experts' advising the Queen on how to blend her make up. Frankly, it is irrelevant, and spiteful. I can only assume that this has been printed to appeal to the fan club of the late Diana.

I thought the 'hair style' suited the shape of her face, but how she would translate it into real life do not know. It explains why royalty frequently wear hats, witness all the members of the military with their hats firmly in place despite the wind.

It's a natural picture but the makeup artist is not doing their job well. She looks happy enough.

I'm sure she won't be be bothered about this. There are plenty of unflattering photos of her that rags love to print. She's had horrendous press on the part. One of her son-in-laws has been rather harsh to her.

This picture is also in The Times today, I don’t see any make up issues, but then I haven’t scrutinised it, it’s just a picture.

I'm surprised that one of the tabloids, at least, didn't question, "has she still got it?". The usual tripe accompanying photo's of older, high-profile women when they are being subjected to the tabloid 'f**kability test'.

King Charles is no oil painting but nobody criticises him for his looks or what he wears. Such comments are reserved for female members of the royal family and "celebrities' who seemingly can't do right for doing wrong, to the extent that some of these women lose self confidence and develop mental health issues. Most of the critics are women. So much for the "sisterhood".

I like Camilla and I am sure that she makes our King happy. So I agree with the 'leave her alone' comments!

How about we leave this woman alone, she was doing her duty, it was windy, I like Camilla, we really don't need another woman bashing thread.

Well she got what she wanted - Queen Camilla. So I’m sure she can take the flack that goes with being in the public eye.

She might not do her own hair, but I think she does her own makeup.
I think she’s pretty down to earth.

Camilla is an elderly woman who looks like an elderly woman. What's wrong with that. The photo was fine except her hair was being blown about.

Is it even poorly done make-up anyway? Or is it where the sun failed to tan her face (under where her hair usually sits).

I always have a sun-line at my temples because I don't usually scrape my hair back.

I think for her age she looks lovely. There is nothing more natural than a woman's hair blowing in the breeze. If it was laquered like an helmet then it would look silly but this photo is absolutely wonderful.

She’s an outdoorsy woman anyway so I’d imagine it doesn’t bother her in the slightest. I too have sun tide marks which show when my hair, which is similar in style & colour to hers, blows back. I bet she just issued a cracking expletive and laughed it off. For what it’s worth, I like her and she’s obviously made Charles very happy -at last - in his later years.
