Good morning from a very bright Glasgow after a wild windy night!
Off out this morning for a coffee and catch up with my old school friend. This time we will be setting alarms on our phones as last time we met we each received a £100 parking fine for overstaying in the retail park car park by 10 mins….no gossip was worth that! 😬
Tonight I have keep fit in the church hall ….which mostly tires the tongue but it’s fun!
Enjoy ur day everyone.

Good morning all from a breezy Glasgow, where it is 10°C and breezy.

Susan it lovely to see you posting again.

Thank you to those, who offered condolences yesterday, its a very difficult situation. My children are quite shocked by DH's strong feelings.
However, they have absolutely no idea of what happened in the past, but I told them that they must support their cousins in the coming days.

Have a good day everyone.

Morning all from Worthing.

After a shower and breakfast I will be heading off for the Crematorium. After the service it is a half hour drive to Horsham where the wake is being held. I hope to be home late afternoon/early evening.

Have a good day.

Good morning, Michael and all GNs from a grey, damp South Yorkshire where rain is forecast for most of the day. I had a shocking sleepless night - can’t think why; I was tired when I went to bed. I made my elderberry cordial in the afternoon and did a load of laundry. My eyes have been sticky and watery the past few days so I must go to the pharmacy today see if they have anything to calm them down. This afternoon I am volunteering back at school. The children will probably have to keep waking me up!
Have the best day you can folks.

Good morning from Cyprus - at the risk of sounding monotonous, it hot and sunny. Again, we have no fixed plans.
DD2 is also obsessed with poo at the moment Grandmabatty I think it must be a boy thing.
Best wishes to all. X

Morning everyone from a grey S E Essex, rain is forecast!

I have been awake since 1.30am? The Imp will be here soon, pick up the 9yr old after school and off to swimming lessons. It’s going to be a very long day.

Wishing FGT2 and himself a safe journey and wonderful holiday.

Lovely to see you here once more Susan56

I haven’t noticed pittcity on here for a while, or have I just missed her posts.

Good news on the bloods Ashcombe

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s cool, wet and windy
It’s lovely to see you back Susan56 we’ve missed you!
This morning I’m off to the hairdressers and later I’ll need to do some food shopping, nothing else planned
What lovely pictures glammagran, the tables and venue look so beautiful
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning everyone from mid Essex where it’s bright but not actually sunny. We had a few light showers yesterday and it felt quite chilly in the breeze. Not sure what today’s forecast is, getting cooler I think.
I planted some bulbs yesterday and will need to get more compost today so I can plant more. It would be better to put them in the garden but it’s too hard to dig.
A pile of ironing to do and will see my friend with dementia this afternoon.
Have a good day everyone.

Good morning all.

Our DD2’s wedding on Saturday was truly fabulous. I was very emotional as she walked down with her father. 100 guests and 20 more in the evening. DS took on the role of celebrant and did so very well but he is quite extrovert. University friends were bridesmaids, GD3 was the flower girl and GS2 was his normal boisterous self. Guests flew in from America, Luxembourg and Germany. The venue was beautiful on an organic farm with accommodation for around 45. The weather was steel grey skies all day but only a very brief shower. We went for a walk the next day and there was no sound from any traffic at all, a rarity in these times. The newlyweds requested no photos be posted on social media which we of course, have to respect. Here’s one taken by DD1 of the dining room with nobody present yet.

Picked up GD3 from school yesterday and she was very tired. Today we have GS2 later than usual as he has a settling in session at his new nursery.

Sounds like your 50th wedding anniversary party was a great success FGT. Congratulations to you both, so happy you were able to go ahead. Have a wonderful holiday in Ibiza.

I hope Iris feels more settled at school very soon GM.

Have a good day everyone. Commiserations to any poorlies.

Good morning all from a breezy North Leicestershire. Apparently we have a 70% chance of rain.

DH has a hospital appointment this morning and I have a singing lesson later on.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders where it's windy but dry. 1 also did 4 loads of washing but some sheets are still drying indoors. My house guests are now coming next week instead of this, when their water is to be switched off. My Friday volunteering shift has been changed too so I feel a bit unsettled.
Chiropractor this morning and haircut later. Pottery too.

Nice to see you back Susan. 😀
I hope there's an Indian Summer for you to enjoy the summer house.

I hope everyone has a good day.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and has been raining. Susan what a joy to see you posting. I missed you. Ash it's good to hear that your health is ok.
Yesterday I spent the morning shopping for birthday gifts. I went into the bookshop and picked up a couple of books for the boys too. However dgs1 already has the one I chose-i checked with dd- so I'll keep it at my house and get him another. The one for dgs2 is ideal. It's about dinosaurs and pooing. The boy is obsessed with poo. Sorry, I know, too much information. I think many small boys go through a phase. Later I took over my brother's birthday present for him.
Today is the birthday of my brother and my Dsil. I am going to the eye clinic for a cataract assessment and won't be able to drive because of eye drops. Fortunately dd has offered to take me and come back for me. Have a good day all

Susan56 Tue 10-Sept-24 06:46:15

Thank you Ash☺️

Good morning from another dull and cloudy Black Country.

Great long walk yesterday with my group, but goodness my legs ached afterwards. Must be getting old smile

Today I am over to Mums to take her for a blood test. Then I think I need to defrost her fridge. I am sure we will fit in lunch at the local!

Wishing you all the best day possible

RosesandLilac Tue 10-Sept-24 06:35:48

Good morning, it’s cold (11°) and wet here in south Glos and it doesn’t look like we’ll see any sunshine today.
I got four loads of washing dried yesterday, so a pile of ironing awaits me .
It was lovely in the mellow sunshine yesterday, pleasantly warm.
DH is starting painting the interior of the drafted summerhouse today so hopefully by the end of the week I will be using it 🙏
Hope today goes well for you 🌹

Ashcombe Tue 10-Sept-24 06:35:37

How lovely to see you here again, Susan56! You were missed, believe me. Welcome back! 🥰

Susan56 Tue 10-Sept-24 06:31:56

Good morning from Shropshire where sunshine and showers are forecast.

A slower pace of life here these days.H started school last week so after nine years of regular childcare we will now just do a couple of school pick ups each week.Health issues have meant a change in pace too.

Today DD and I are going over to see mum and then back to Welsh class this evening.DH will collect the children from school.

Thank you for the kind messages during my absence.

Wishing everyone a good day🦩

Good morning from an as yet dry Bristol. We had a beautiful day yesterday, though the temperatures were rather low an autumnal.
Ash, I’m glad all the tests wen5 well, and carry on testing your memory and ability to move.
I had a hard session in the morning, help int sorting out the toddler cupboard/toys. We have done a good job.
After lunch, I went to a friend’s to pick some of her Bramley apples. I plan to make chutney today and save the rest for marrow chutney, etc., later in the season. I also made some neighbours very happy by giving them some as I have so many.
Today, we have the big annual meeting for the complex, mainly going over the expenditure and the budget. Naturally, our fees have gone up, but hasn’t everything else? I just hope it doesn’t turn out to be a whinge-fest by one couple, who never have anything good to say and never join in any of the communal coffee mornings, etc.
Maybtoday ekind to you (despite the forecast cold and rain 🤨)

Good morning from Torbay where a windy day is forecast. Mick: it’s the 10th today but thank you for your reliability in opening up each morning.

Yesterday, I had blood samples taken at 9.40 a.m and by 6.00 p.m. the results were available on my Patient Access profile. Brilliant ….. and all were within normal levels! Later I attended the Move It or Lose It group but had to sit to join in the second half. Besides exercising our bodies, our minds were tested with a memory game and I was reassured to find I managed that better than I’d expected!

Today, I’m helping with Props at our theatre. We have an Agatha Christie play (The Unexpected Guest) running all week as part of the Agatha Christie festival here. She had many connections with Torquay, including her summer home, Greenway (NT) on the River Dart.

Hope everyone is well and happy. 🦩💐🦩🥰🦩
