Morning Mick, morning All from a chilly, dry corner of Somerset.

Caused a bit of an issue yesterday when I moved a bathroom stool. Mr C had prepared for floor washing by putting the bathroom scales on it, the stool tipped slightly, down went the scales on to the ceramic tiled floor and we had glass - everywhere. Sounded like a bomb. It took forever to gather it all and thoroughly sweep, vacuum and finally wash. Made me jittery, Mr C just laughed. It had its positive side as we braved the rain in the afternoon to buy some more in a store with a coffee shop which just happens to have very good cake, excellent for restoring equilibrium.

Hoping for a less accident prone day today as I’ll drive us to a museum to meet friends, we’ll have coffee and chat, walk a bit, have lunch and chat, walk a bit more and chat some more. A good day ahead.

Hope Wednesday is kind to us all.

Good morning from a bright but cold Essex coast.
I arrived home yesterday lunchtime after a lovely few days with DD2 and family.
DGD1 enjoyed her induction day at college and discovered that two other girls on her course live locally. She now has someone to travel with.
I have an early appointment with the hygienist then DH has a lung CT scan. It's in a local supermarket mobile unit so I will shop whilst he has it done.
Enjoy the day everyone xx

Good morning from Malta where it has been very windy and slightly cooler.

Feeling terribly tired, probably due to being out of my usual lazy routine. It’s lovely having my friend here but also a bit stressful.

Wishing you all a good day.☀️

Good morning from s somerset. Sun, wind and rain today, cooler

Another blanket went on my bed last night and my bedsocks went on me

Very busy yesterday but nice and productive. Kimchi is made and will start burping soon. Spelt pizzas made, one eaten and one for today, with the best cheese, raw milk pitchfork from somerset. It does not need much for the nicest taste

GM, my lib dem mp voted for the wfa cut, I am shocked and the word will spread fast around this area, which has many just-managing pensioners

I cut out a long-sleeved dress last night, after pattern adjustments. Will be working on that today, nice for autumn, with warm tights. I am not cycling while the roads are muddy, I need a walk but then again, I stand and move about most of the day plus up and down stairs endlessly

Have a good day

Can't post easily for some reason. Sun today in Cornwall. To St Ives yesterday. Pants to the WFA withdrawal, I'll be much colder. Back tomorrow hopefully without gremlins.

Good morning all from the Black country, still dark but a clear sky.
DH fishing hence the early start.
Depending on how the weather is as its heritage week I shall find somewhere to visit possibly Bishop Asbury cottage.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️

Good morning from Shropshire.A day of sunshine and showers forecast.

Yesterday was a mixed day.I noticed a marked deterioration in my mum’s physical and mental health in the very short time since I last saw her.I will attempt to speak to her dr today.
DD and I went shopping on the way home and then to Welsh class where we were both surprised at how much we had remembered.

Today will be a quiet day at home.DH has his second shingles vaccination this morning.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Whingers not wringers….

grandMattie Wed 11-Sept-24 05:59:29

Good morning from Bristol. It is still dark, the temperatures are low and will struggle to reach the mid teens…

We had a good meeting with the complex management, the wringers did so but for fewer things and for less time. Explanations made and concerns raised noted.

The afternoon was spent making apple chutney- 15 pots. They need to be washed and labelled.

I’ve got an eye test this morning. They always leave me feeling exhausted and headachy due to my complicated corrections, so not much this afternoon. I’ll miss the book group.

I was distressed by the removal of WFA vote last night. Although it will affect me, especially with my recently straightened circumstances, the threatened removal of bus passes and the single person reduction in rates would cause me much greater distress.

Hope you have a good day. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Good morning from a cool but dry Torbay, expected to be windy (again!) later.

I hope the weather is kind for the fair, Mick, in your neck of the woods. It felt almost wintry here yesterday!

This morning, I hope to participate in the second part of an online forum about Stroke recovery although I’ve yet to receive the link. Last week's session was useful but rather long…. or is that due to my attention span?!

This afternoon I’m hosting Wednesday Club as the usual chap is away. We’re reviewing the August play, Blackadder, and discussing our holidays, if any!

RosesandLilac: you could write a book entitled The Summerhouse Saga! As a child, I used to be fascinated by seeing my grandmother knitting socks because of the use of four needles.

Happy hump day! 🦩🥰🦩💐🦩

Good morning Mick and followers, it’s dry here at the moment in south Glos after yesterday afternoon’s torrential downpours 🙄. The dog and I got our afternoon walk in before it tipped down, thankfully.
Yesterday I finished crocheting my blanket and started (another) pair of socks - knitting socks is mindless activity for me, I can do it on automatic while listening to audiobooks.
Apparently the carpenter doing the summerhouse might come tomorrow, DH is painting the interior and I hope that I can move my bits and pieces back into it by the weekend. I have bought a heater for it so I will be using it as much as I can even though the summer’s over now.
I think it’s meant to be dry today so I will get the washing done and go outside and potter around deadheading etc. I do love my little garden.
Have a lovely day 🌹
