Good Morning Everyone,
A dark but dry start here in brackley this morning.
Plans for the day usual bus trip to Bicester , once I have got around the fairground rides to get to the temporary bus stop.
Hopefully meet others I know , return home and do Fish & Chips in the air fryer.
Watch some cycling on TV this afternoon .
Health wise my weight has gone down this morning , since the surgery I have problems going to high weight wise .
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning from a sunny but cold Essex coast.
I didn't sleep well and feel a bit out of sorts.
DH will drop me off in town as I need to go to the bank and buy a few bits, ready for our holiday to Kos at the end of next week.
Happy Anniversary GG13, have a lovely day.
Best wishes to all xx

Good morning from a sunny but chilly Suffolk with what looks like frost on the part of the grass where the sun hasn’t yet reached.

I had a delicious lunch and a great catch up with my friend in Norwich yesterday. We didn’t realise that there had been any rain until we left the restaurant 3 hours later so we were lucky to escape it as there was quite a walk back to the car park for her and bus station for me.

DH and I plan to go to the beach for the morning dog walk. I imagine it will be followed by coffee and cake at the cafe nearby.

DGD1 off to university today. She is excited and seems well organised for her self catering student accommodation. Happy days ahead for her I’m sure and lifelong friendships to be made.

Hope today is a good one for all especially those celebrating a special occasion.

Good morning everyone from a bright and sunny 🌞 Northampton, 5° outside, so I have put the heating on. A fine dry day forecast however, so I must get the towels out on the line; they didn't make it yesterday due to heavy showers.

Was pleased with my visit to the hairdresser yesterday; pity I got caught in a sudden shower when I got off the bus afterwards! At least I had my umbrella.

Back to dance classes this morning after a two week break, then this afternoon must go to Sainsbury's and M&S, as I am busy tomorrow and Sunday.

Should be going to rugby tonight but will have to miss it as have no safe means of getting home afterwards - no buses that late at night, and both DD and my lovely neighbour are on holiday. Really wanted to go to this match.

Have a good day everyone.

Good morning from a sunny W Kent. Woke up to find the heating on! It is 7 degrees outside. DS’s birthday today, we hope to see him on Sunday.
Shopping this morning and then we may go U3A meeting later, see how we go.
Happy anniversary GG
gM sorry you are still dealing with the scam.
Marydoll hoping babydoll hasn’t passed anything on
Best wishes

Lovely but cold autumn morning with oldies’ coffee morning the highlight of the day. Nice to hear of people preparing for holidays and the young embarking on the next stage of life. I always feel that September is the beginning of the year - I suppose it comes from having spent so long in the academic world.

GrannyGravy13 Fri 13-Sept-24 08:16:45

Sar53 we are coming to your end of the seafront for dinner this evening, (the nice Hotel)

Good morning from a bright, sunny albeit chilly Black Country. Summer is well and truly over (did it ever start?)

Took Mum yesterday to her appointment to have ear wax removed. This was the 2nd time of trying. Still have to go again, as she couldn't get it all out!

Meeting up with DGD2 at lunchtime in town, as she has a present and card for me, as we are away on my birthday. In fact it is a week today and I will be 71! She is now at Sixth Form college here, which is almost an hours journey by coach for her. We are flying to Skiathos on Tuesday.

So some of today will be spent sorting out which clothes to take.

Wishing you all the best day possible

Good morning Mick and all from Sunnyside northwest coast. It’s all health stuff here. I have terrible sciatic down my right side, shout out pain when I move. On top of that I’m still trying to sort out my abscessed tooth removal (failed extraction July!)
I feel I’ve been abandoned on that score and spend so much time on the phone.
On the plus side, I now have a date next month for my hernia op.

Sorry you have found the best too much Bonnybanko and congratulations GG🌺

hollysteers Fri 13-Sept-24 08:40:43

Found the heat too much 🙄

Morning from a sunny cool S Hants, we got home from Worthing late yesterday morning, washing to do, Tesco delivery later then pub catch up.
Hurray Roses at last.
Happy Anniversary GG13 🥂🎉🎉

A quick good morning from South Lanarkshire, I hope you enjoy your weekend here Grammaretto!

hollysteers, you’re having a huge amount to cope with just now, I hope things start getting sorted out for you soon.

Lovely bright morning here and I’m off soon to visit my dearest friend’s daughter who has been so good at keeping in touch over all the years since her mum died. I think it helps us both.

Best wishes to everyone for a good day, so many people with challenges just now, poor harrigran, that incident has really (and understandably, affected you💐

Harrigran flowers

Good morning Everyone from sunny Lancashire. Some interesting cloud formations out there so it may not stay sunny. The dizziness has kept me in bed a lot this week, I’m sleeping well and belly behaving atm, cautiously eating a little solid food. My lovely sister in law has been sending round homemade soup, and yesterday some lovely stewed apple from the tree in her garden.

Happy Anniversary GG13 .

I’m sure I’ve missed many celebrations. Belated birthday greetings to any missed birthdays.

Taichinan Fri 13-Sept-24 09:38:48

Good morning all from a bright, sunny and chilly Angus coast. This is what I call true September weather but a little cooler than most years.
So pleased for you that your summerhouse is finished RosesandLilac. Many happy hours wished for you in there!
Happy Anniversary Mr and Mrs GG.
Your patio is looking so inviting Mizuna.
Harrigran what an eventful night! I wonder what brings on dreams like that? I had a couple of nights last week plagued by unsettling and unpleasant dreams, so much so that the third night I was almost afraid to sleep, but nothing since. I hope you recover from yours quickly and don't suffer any after effects from your dive out of bed.
I didn't realise that that foot mouth and hand virus had become such a 'thing' - poor little Babydoll. 55 years ago when we were living in Cornwall a friend had that and she was really quite poorly. That was the first time I had heard of it in humans and I'm not aware of having heard of it again since, until now.
A pleasant tai chi class was followed yesterday by lots of snoozing in the sun as I followed it round the house! Tai chi is very relaxing, certainly, but not to that extent! The culprit has been several nights of only 2-3 hours sleep. Last night I slept better so today I might stay awake!!
Have a lovely sunny day everyone and enjoy all your doings x

aggie Fri 13-Sept-24 10:06:40

Good morning from a bright and chilly Co Armagh, there was frost on the garage roof first thing
We planted up pots of bulbs yesterday , winter flowering oxalis , but they have to be moved if very frosty , that’s why they aren’t planted in the ground , looking forward to a nice display
I hope you don’t catch the virus from the baby Marydoll

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Fri 13-Sept-24 10:16:27

Good morning everyone from Es Caña where the weather has changed from sunny to cloudy. It even looks as though it could rain later - there are some dark clouds over Bill’s mother’s.

Not a day for sitting around a pool, nor the beach. We contemplated jumping a bus in the square to Santa Eulalia but to be honest neither of us are ‘shoppers’ so unless we want something particular, a mooch around doesn’t appeal. We’ve been downstairs and enjoyed a delicious breakfast of mushroom omelettes and coffee and we’ve come back up to our room to read. If the sun comes out we will go back outside.

Here’s a lovely pic I took in Santa Eulalia two years ago. A lovely, buzzy town. If we went this morning we’d just end up being ‘bar flies’, not good!

Grandmachrisy47 Fri 13-Sept-24 11:41:27

Happy Anniversary GG 💐. Harrigran hope you feel better soon.

Good morning (just) from coastal West Sussex. The sun is shining. Last night, when I got up to go to the loo, I looked out and the sky was so clear and starry I had to don a jacket and shoes and go out into the back garden. It was wonderful - I haven’t seen so many stars in a long time.

I must be recovering - I managed to finish clearing/cleaning the garage yesterday without collapsing in a heap on the sofa 🙂.

So many with pain and other health problems - I wish you all well. Blossoming, I am glad you are having good sleep and able to eat a little. Homemade soup and stewed apple is the perfect invalid diet!
I hope Babydoll is soon recovered 😘

I am being very brave/reckless and getting a train to Brighton to meet up with DD1 and DGCs. I’m hoping earlier disruption is ended.

Here is a photo from my garden where my gaura which I thought had died is blooming beautifully.

Just popping in to comment on the Gingster smelly basin issue. We had the same with the bath and eventually Google helped out - turned out to be a build-up of bacteria in the drainage area. Think bleach followed by bicarbonate of soda or something similar was what worked. Will see if I can find it as that wasn’t much help!

Kate54 Fri 13-Sept-24 16:13:25

Not bleach! Boiling water followed by baking soda and white vinegar….
