Good morning from a chilly, dark Bristol. Wasn’t it cold yesterday morning, there may even have been a light frost. I wore a proper winter coat to get the paper.
I had a fairly busy day. DD came over to fill in forms for the Financial Ombudsman. Depressingly, I read that it can take up to two years to get anything back. Keep me in your thoughts.
DD told me that Iris had decided to enjoy school; it’s just PE that cause difficulties with her handicap ,and she is very, very tired with all the newness. I’m so pleased.
She had barely left that I rushed to the bus stop to meet a friend with whom I was going to an exhibition in Bristol proper. This textile artist had made 14 giant panels with illustrations of John’s book of Revelation. They are fantastic, not only the imagination and craft, but the use of colour, the echo’s of one thing in another panel. They are stunning! She is giving a talk next week, we’re going!
We had a sandwich in the adjacent art gallery cafe before returning to the free exhibition. More details and thoughts were found.
I would strongly recommend visiting if you are in the vicinity; even making a special trip. Pm me for details.
Quiet day today - church coffee and chat and pottering for the rest of the day. Might sit in the autumnal sunshine.
Sorry about novella 🙁
Enjoy your weekend one and all. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩
