Anything but common, in my experience! (Including experience of myself…)

Looking through some old photos I now realise that 2 of my holiday romances were with men well onto their 30s when I was only 20! No harm came of it but being so naive and lacking sense I was very lucky.

So many times I have come to a fork in the road and my heart has over ruled my head with unfortunate results I can totally relate to this Babs but in areas other than my heart I have quite a bit of good common sense but very little when it comes to my heart 😀

Can anyone say how much common sense they actually have? I think it's really just part of who we are.

Having said that - DH has 2 degrees and I an definitely the more capable - is that common sense?

Definitely common sense in my opinion. It helps you navigate this complicated world! My father was very brainy, a Hebrew professor with absolutely no common sense. 🫣😂

In our family my DH and DD have the brains and my DS and I have the common sense. I am not sure which is better.

My youngest daughter has oodles! I remember her saying one Christmas (she was 6!) Santa has left far too many presents for me!

I would like to say I have always had oodles of common sense but I haven’t, and still struggle. So many times I have come to a fork in the road and my heart has over ruled my head with unfortunate results.

I still don't have much but I cheer myself up by mixing with people who are great but have even less than I do.

It doesn't do to get too introspective about what might have been if only we'd had more sense at the time. You probably had just as much 'common' as most people. Like me, you are lucky to have met some lovely people who helped you in your hour of need.

I wasn’t born with any, and it’s taken a lifetime to accumulate some!

I know it’s been said before….. but if I had any at the age of 12/13 onwards how different my life would have been….

Many mistakes made and very lucky to have met lovely people, it could have been a disaster!
