Good Morning Everyone,
Its dark but dry and cold outside here in brackley .
I got back just after midnight from seeing Phantom, I also experienced a bad day health wise .
Anyway its was great to see the show again , seemed more fireworks this time as due to the bad day situ ,a member of theatre staff helped me as well, when I got in the foyer a colleague of the person who helped me noticed i was struggling and was helpful in getting me to the stalls without having to use the stairs .
Today , hopefully bus to Bicester ,and then watch cycling on TV, with the usual Chinese Take Away later .
Take Care,
Mick

Morning Mick, morning All. It’s dark out there, seems dry, decent day forecast.

I’m so sorry you had problems yesterday mick while being pleased you had help, take it easy today.

Dreadful night, I’m not sure I’ve slept at all, feel very spaced out. The dark circles will be even darker. Never mind, it’s retail therapy day today. Should sleep tonight. Good day with friends yesterday, can’t blame them for the lack of sleep - but I might grin.

Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning from a clear Bristol. I could see Venus out of my kitchen window - a rare sight as we have what I call “Blackpool illuminations” round us.
I’m sorry about mick and corner bad health events. Hope today is kinder to you both.
My spa lesson went well. We have three new students; the only chap, who seems to be fitting in well; one girl in her 30s and a lady who barely spoke, not sure how she’ll fit in.
The air fryer has been deemed faulty and my friend has been refunded. DD has bought a replacement one at Asda for me.
The rest of the day was quiet.
No church coffee today, which is a shame as I won’t speak to anyone until church tomorrow.
I hope you enjoy the start of autumn. Have @ good weekend. Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

Spa = Spanish

Bellasnana Sat 28-Sept-24 06:10:17

Good morning from Malta where it’s going to be 34°C later. No autumn vibes here.

Mick, sorry you struggled with your health yesterday but glad you enjoyed the outing overall.

Hope you feel better cornergran. 💐

I feel worn out after a busy week with two poorly boys, but am so glad I was able to spend time with them and fill in for their mum. Hoping they will be on the mend soon. Thanks to all for your good wishes yesterday, much appreciated.🤗

I have a million things to do today but no plans so will just see how it goes. It’s hot again which slows me down.

Wishing a good day to all.☀️

Good morning from Shropshire where a dry day is forecast.

I’m sorry you had a bad day yesterday Mick and that you had such a bad night corner.

Yesterday was difficult visiting mum.DD1 was very upset seeing her grandma so unwell. We haven’t felt the staff have been listening but yesterday I spoke to the nurse in charge of mum’s care who listened, asked loads of questions and a plan is in place which I feel happy with.

Today is H’s fifth birthday so a day celebrating him with family and friends.

Have the best day you can everyone🦩

Good morning from a brightening Cornwall; sun later. Finally got to Perranporth yesterday, yippee, just as the heavens opened and a capricious wind sent the sands scurrying across the vast expanse of beach towards my face. I'd forgotten how, when I lived there, wind-blown sand wrecked the anti-glare coating on my specs and scoured a patch of skin off my forehead. It's a wonderful beach but can be brutal out of season, my favourite time for walking there. Nevertheless I strode out, which was the intention of my trip, and my new knee was happy. Got saturated but was divinely contented and trundled home to dive into a hot, deep bath.

Tonight I've been invited to a sleepover at my eight-year-old granddaughter's. 😂 I'm to sleep in her bottom bunk with her in the top one. Delightful. 😁😁

Susan56 Sat 28-Sept-24 06:24:42

Stunning picture Mizuna and how lovely your granddaughter has invited you for a sleepover☺️

Mizuna Sat 28-Sept-24 06:27:04

Thank you Susan. My thoughts are with you and your mum.

Sar53 Sat 28-Sept-24 06:33:05

Good morning from our hotel balcony in Kos. We are up early to get the bus into Kos town for a wander around the shops and harbour.
Thinking of all with sadness and worries, may you all have a good day xx

kittylester Sat 28-Sept-24 06:57:42

Good morning all from a very chilly North Leicestershire.

I have an empty today as DH is going to the football with DS1 and their tickets include food.

DS2 is 51 today. I do wish my children weren't so flipping old.

We went for a curry with our friends yesterday. It was really enjoyable.

Have the best day possible everyone.

RosesandLilac Sat 28-Sept-24 06:57:49

Good morning from a hillside in south Glos, the brightening sky is clear with a crescent moon, hopefully a dry day today.
I hope the poorly ones on here are feeling better very soon 🙏
I got the washing dry outside yesterday, a real bonus nowadays, cleaned through the house and felt really grim by mid afternoon so went to bed. Most odd. I don’t think it’s Covid, headache and tired but slept well so will see how today goes.
Luckily I have nothing planned except to unpack my art stuff.
Have a lovely weekend if you can 🌹

Pantglas2 Sat 28-Sept-24 06:57:55

Good morning all from a dry north Wales at long last - the rain we’ve had I ought to have webbed feet 🥴

Cheering photo Mizuna and so glad you’re happier with Mums care now Susan, I’m sure it’s not easy being so far away either 💐

Will be out for supper with friends this evening and a day of pottering around the garden beforehand will see me right - I look forward to reading about everyone’s weekend plans 🤗

Puss Sat 28-Sept-24 06:58:18

Good morning everyone from a dark Belfast. Yesterday was good I got my washing dry a brisk wind but can we expect.
Planted bulbs yesterday in containers.
We have started lighting the fire now in our small room cosy.
You will be in my thoughts Michael. Be careful and take it easy.
Nothing planned for today maybe finish my book.
Have a good day everyone.

GrannyGravy13 Sat 28-Sept-24 07:21:43

Morning all I can see blue sky yippee, no rain forecast.

I need to go to the butchers and pick up a few bits in Aldi.

Sue pleased you have a new plan for your mum, it’s hard to watch our parents age.

Mick hope you have a better day

Corner take it easy

🙋‍♀️

karmalady Sat 28-Sept-24 07:22:46

Good morning from s somerset, should be a lovely sunny day but a lot cooler

I do hope those beyond par start to feel better today, it sounds as though rest is needed, the body speaks to us

I managed to fix something special yesterday, a castor wheel fixing inserted into a wooden corner, it broke internally. I found some old plastic beads in the garage. softened them and somehow the castor is now fixed and stable. That made me very happy

All my clothes are now changed over to winter, I looked for my vests as my finger tips were feeling uncomfortable and I had a bit of raynauds in my finger tips. Found the vests and immediately felt cosier

I am off on a car ride later, visiting. Thankfully the rain stopped but I have dug my warm driving gloves out

Have a good day

brook2704 Sat 28-Sept-24 07:31:23

Good morning everyone from Inverness where it’s dry with some light grey clouds
Good to hear you’ve got a plan in place for your mum Susan and you’re feeling a bit happier with it
Well done with your walk on Perranporth beach Mizuna and pleased your knee behaved. I also really enjoy a beach walk to blow the cobwebs away and reinvigorate. In fact you’ve inspired me to drive over to Nairn beach today and do just that!
Hoping you’re feeling better today rosesandlilac
Enjoy Kos town Sar53 😎
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sat 28-Sept-24 07:31:53

Good morning everyone from sunny Málaga. Again, no plans. Himself will go over the road for fresh rolls but that’s about it for exertion. If we want to go somewhere we will. Funny to think the marina and Mediterranean is only a ten minute walk down but for now we are happy to sit in the gardens under the palm trees and read. It’s very quiet in the gardens at this time of year, no families as children have started the new school term. Some brave souls use the pools. I always intend to …

Time for my second mug of tea. The noisy parakeets are making a right racket just now!

Bonnybanko Sat 28-Sept-24 07:37:31

Good morning all it’s a bit dull out there but it’s dry just a tad cold here on the east coast of Fife. I’ve got my winter clothes looked out for colder weather to come. I think I’ll be putting my summer clothes away somewhere until needed again - but where might I ask?

Thinking of those poor folk in England who are flooded, take care my friends and family

Redcar Sat 28-Sept-24 07:43:05

Good morning everyone from mid Essex where it’s dry and sunny but cold. I may be able to do a little gardening today.
The electrician came yesterday and finished sorting out new lighting and power sockets in the garage. I can see all the cobwebs more clearly now! Did some cooking in the afternoon and now have some tasty casseroles in the freezer.
I hope you’re feeling better today michael. corner enjoy your retail therapy and fingers crossed for a better sleep tonight.
Well done for finally getting to Perranporth mizuna, even if you did get wet and wind blown! Enjoy your sleepover tonight.
susan good that you were able to find a nurse who listened to your concerns about your mum.
I hope today is kind to us all.

Grandmabatty Sat 28-Sept-24 07:44:24

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 5° and dry. Mick I'm sorry to hear that you are struggling. Susan I'm so glad you found someone to listen and a plan is in place for your mum. Cornergran how horrible for you! Hopefully you will sleep tonight.
Yesterday I did a spot of gardening in the morning before dd and dgs2 arrived. He proudly presented me with a dragonfly he'd made at playgroup. After his soup and a blether with DD, they headed off for a haircut for him. I had a nap on the couch as I felt a bit unwell and pottered the rest of the day.
Today I'll go to Aldi for food. I have a fancy for a cottage pie, so I'll buy the necessary ingredients and make enough to freeze extra. I also fancy apple pie. I'll get housework and washing done too. Apart from that, it'll be quiet. Dd will probably pop in with the boys to pick up her tumble drying. Have a good day all.

Ladyleftfieldlover Sat 28-Sept-24 07:45:44

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

Elder son, his partner and our granddaughter arrived yesterday in time for dinner - granddaughter’s favourite meatballs and pasta. Roast chicken and all the trimmings for lunch today and they’ll set off back to Kew in the afternoon.

Have a good day whatever you’re doing everyone. I’m still in bed so no idea what the weather is like - at least I can’t hear rain!

luluaugust Sat 28-Sept-24 07:49:15

Good morning from a sunny Norfolk. Awful traffic travelling here with a huge diversion on the M25 but we made it and are now settling in.
Mick a quiet day surely!
Cornergran sorry about the lack of sleep.
Susan good if someone has got a plan in place for your mum

baubles Sat 28-Sept-24 07:55:45

Good morning from cool and dry South Lanarkshire.

Hope both Mick and corner feel better as the day goes on. You too Roses.

Susan pleased to hear that you now have a plan in place.

Beautiful photo Mizuna.

No idea what we’re doing today apart from recovering from yesterday’s childcare. grin

Have the best day possible everyone.

harrigran Sat 28-Sept-24 07:59:07

Good morning from a dry and sunny NE.
Sister and BIL took me to my hospital appointment. I have to strip to the waist for echocardiogram so I decided not to wear a bra, the sonographer was male and told me I could keep my bra on 😟 he gave me a length of tissue paper to cover myself, I ever seem to get it right.

DS and GD2 are coming today, she will spend her time doing homework but always finds time to play the piano after dinner.
I will ask her about her role in the school production, she is to play Hunyak in Chicago. I understand the dialogue is in Hungarian.
Thoughts are with those with troubles.
