Soop's kitchen for kind and caring folk...
(1001 Posts)Welcome!
Thank you for all your support, especially of late. I greatly appreciate your patience. You are truly the best.
Buffet is open. For those who enjoy a glass of bubbly, there is plenty in the chill cabinet.
Enjoy!
I must away for a wee while. I shall catch up later.
Hoping things are going well for Yia and Mr Yia
Soop thinking of you and hoping all is well.
👋 hello everyone. 😊
👋 Doodle, sending you a hug tonight. x
Hi kitchen pals, I’ve just come through to bed now after a lovely day here in Cambridge - we had a day out at Wimpole, it’s a National Trust property close by with a children’s farm which both DGSs really enjoyed. Then home to DD1s home made curry, a vegetarian one and a chicken one - both delicious. I’m travelling back home tomorrow, the early evening flight from Luton to Inverness, DH will pick me up from the airport. It’s been a quick visit this time but definitely worth it to see everyone and catch up on all the news
Well done to Imogen Jax she seems to be doing really well
Hoping all goes well tomorrow soop and hi to baggs too
Good to hear from you Blossoming sending ❤️ to you, Doodle, SueDonim, nannyg4, Yia and others in the quiet corner
That sounds like another lovely homemade soup grandmabatty is it a slow cooker one?
Good evening, Soop and lovely Kitchen people! 🥰 Should I feel duly chastised for my use of lovely? Not at all! 🤣 You lot are lovely people!
Dear Soop, safe journey to Glasgow and I'm hoping and praying that this consultation brings you some relief. Enjoy your meet up with our dear Baggs.
I'm thinking of all the ladies who are worried about husbands' health, hope things improve for you soon.
Hello 👋 Neine, good to see you in the kitchen! I hope you and your DH enjoy your trip in the motorhome. How interesting that you mentioned St Gerard Majella, patron Saint of expectant mothers. I recently bought a St Gerard medal and novena prayer for a dear friend of mine who is expecting her first baby. We met, before
lockdown, when I was supply teaching ( post retirement) in the school where she started her teaching career. Despite our age difference, we became good friends. I danced at her wedding and I am now invited to her Baby Shower.
Mamaa, thinking of you. I think the saying you mentioned is that we are only as happy as our unhappiest child. All we can do is support them. 💐
Cornergran, hope you both recover quickly.
GG13 and Jaxjacky, I'm impressed at the cooking skills of your DHs, lucky ladies!
Hope everyone feeling the after effects of flu/ covid jags recovers soon.
Blossoming, lovely to see you, thank you for your update. So sorry to hear that you are unwell, hoping and praying that you feel a bit better very soon.
Kind thoughts to all feeing unwell just now.
Your cooking sounds really tasty, Grandmabatty. I'm glad your Mum was able to take an interest in her neighbour's visitors!
brook, I know what you mean about other people's kitchens, I had to get DGS1 to remind me how to work their oven!
SueD, hope you enjoyed your wee boy's birthday celebrations. Thank you, we had a great time with the family. On Friday, we picked up the Wee Boy from school and stayed for dinner. We love our new Friday routine. On Saturday, like NannyG4, we were staying over at DS1 and DDIL's, while the parents were off gallivanting! We had more bother with the pup than we had with the teenagers... they live in their rooms/ on their gadgets, but lovely to see them all. This morning, DH and I enjoyed the rolls on sausage, but DGD requested scrambled eggs and DGS1 ate Saturday night's leftover pizza from the fridge!
Home this afternoon, mad rush to early evening Mass, then DS3 and lovely girlfriend joined us for roast chicken dinner and some TV quizzes. Good to see them.
I am very thankful that, in the past few days, I have seen my three sons, their chosen ones, and my three grandchildren. 🙏 Not all together, but very thankful nonetheless!
TOYA, wishing everyone a peaceful Sunday evening and a good night's sleep. NNGB.
Crossed posts, Doodle, good to see you in the kitchen. Thinking of you and all with sorrow. 💐 Thank you for keeping in touch.
Love to all in the quiet corner. 🥰
Hello kitchen people.
Dear Soop I hope all goes well tomorrow,
I have felt a lot better today. My arms have stopped aching so much and the tiredness has gone.
Have a good rest of the evening and sleep 💤 tight.
Hi both. Lovely to 'see' you baggs.
Hello 👋 Soop and Baggs, so good to see you together. Thinking of MrSoop. 🥰
Good to see you both happy and smiling Baggs and soop
Beautiful photo, Soop and Baggs, bet your meet up went well!
That wasn't the one we meant to post. MrS took several. He did not wish to be included
Oh well. We had a delicious lunch and then soop was going onward (just down the road) to her appointment.
Beautiful photo Baggs and Soop!
Lovely photo Baggs of you and Soop.
Lovely photo Baggs and Soop. Hope Soop's appointment went well x
Lovely photo baggs and soop. I hope your appointment went well soop.
Great picture both.
I’m at a loose end, Monday has been quiz night for over 18 months, now the pub has shut.
Busy day on the voluntary phone, nine lifts sorted, one we had no driver for.
I’m awaiting the forecast storms, bet they miss us. I hope brook is home, or we’ll on her way.
Yia, NannyG4 and Doodle in my thoughts xx
Lovely picture thanks for sharing. Hope Mr Soop is ok.
Thanks for your kind thoughts Jaxjacky Grannmarie and Brook . 😊
Thinking of Yia hoping all is well.
jax sad that your Monday evening quizzes have had to stop. Hopefully the next landlords of the pub will reinstate them.
I had a bad night last night, couldn’t get either my back or my hip comfortable, hope tonight is better. Went to the dentist this morning, all well thank goodness. Then went to the farm shop, but forgot the one thing I really needed!
Now sitting with a bag of frozen veg on my aching knee. It’s gradually feeing better.
I’m at DD1’s tomorrow looking after the dog and then getting the granddaughters from after school club and looking after them until their mum & dad get home. Another dark drive home for me, I’m not keen on driving in the dark but it isn’t far and mostly well lit.
Have a good evening everyone.
‘Evening All’.
Another glorious day. We decided to walk along La Carihuela. It’s a tidy walk to the headland, just turning in to Torremolinos centro. We headed back and retraced our steps, stopping for coffee, then lunch. Delightful day, out for five hours in total.
Since back I’ve been engrossed in my latest Kindle purchase as recommended on the 50 books thread. It’s been a slow burner then ‘Wham!’. I have only put it down now because the battery on my Kindle needs charging ha!
Such a good photo of you both soops and Baggs. Quite honestly Baggs you look about sixteen! Must be the Palmolive. 😊 and I thought I looked younger than my age …
Hope MrSoop had an encouraging appointment.
Beautiful photo Baggs and Soop........
Hope Mr. Soops appointment was helpful for you both 🤞.
Night night to you all. 🌹🌹
No news from Yia, oh I do hope everything is progressing in the right direction.
Much love......
Good to see you together baggs and soop. Hope the appointment was helpful
Quiet day here. Another tomorrow I’m sure as energy has left the building.
Wishing everyone a restful night. TOYA
