Good morning from Bristol. We’ve had rain in the night and more i# forecast for this morning.
The Spanish class went well, although 5 of the 9 students were absent. There’s one young woman (we’re mostly over 50) who comes in with her breakfast and consumes it during the class!
Straight after, I took a different bus to DD’s. I was anxious because I lose myself incredibly easily and then panic, but it was all ok. We had a quiet lunch together chatting as we rarely do, since the whole family is usually around, noisy, demanding…. It was really lovely.
She helped me with various things, legal paperwork mostly - again. Then we talked (very little) about her upcoming trip to South Africa with Christian Aid. I’m dreadfully worried as she will, naturally, be going to the most dodgy area of town/townships in the biggest cities, to see the work the charity is doing. She’s going this evening.
Today, we have church coffee. A Green Bristol MP was coming to join us to talk/discuss environment but has called off; “something has come up”. A real shame.
I think I’m going to a Philip Glass concert this evening in the local Methodist church, I need to confirm…
I hope the poorlies can manage their symptoms today. Hugs and 💐
