Spent yesterday trying to resolve the bowel issue, anyway keep taking the Loperamide capsules solution , been told not to take holidays or day trips as a caution ,classed as disabled and get a walking stick .
Today, hopefully bus to Bicester ans catch up with those I know , try and watch some cycling on TV.
Take Care,
Mick

Good morning all from a wet Black country, yesterday was lovely and sunny and washing was dried and ironed.
Friends coming later and we shall go over to the club.
Haven't read through yet as once again I had a good nights sleep and am late up.
As it's Saturday full English calling so will catch up with everybody's happenings later.
Enjoy your day everyone whatever your plans and may you all find some ☀️

Good Morning from a bright Co Armagh, we’ve had a small shower , but it’s drying up now
I’ve stripped the tomato plants and should get some tomato sauce made this afternoon, I’ll freeze it in handy portions for pasta dishes
I’m crocheting squares for our project , we had a great response at our last Wednesday club meeting , but my hands are protesting!
Thoughts with our friends unable to post these days 💐

Good morning all. When I first got up it was a lovely morning on the Angus coast but since then the day has shown itself in its true colours - storm grey - with more than a little promise of rain. Oh well, bang goes my idea of a stroll in the beach! The photo is for you Corner - there's something about the sea air and the breeze blowing through our hair which is so uplifting.
I know what you mean grandmattie, but she really will be well looked after. Our children, no matter their age, are forever just that - our babies - who need us to watch out for them. The blessing (and curse) of parenthood.
Mick I hope you feel better again soon.
You sound so happy to be home Bellasnana! It wasn't the best of holidays for you, although very interesting. Enjoy the Maltese sunshine and your lovely little boys.
I had a lovely day yesterday having my haircut and then raiding the M&S food hall. I didn't meet up with my niece this time as she is over visiting her daughter and family in Los Angeles, lucky girl. It was a lovely day for a drive down the coast though.
Anyway, no plans for today - unlike the eternally busy karma. How I admire your industriousness!
Have the best day you can everybody, and thoughts as ever with Marydoll and Kalu.

Good morning from a looking wet Cambridgeshire. I’ve been awake early but late to the party as my eyes are not focusing well to read at the mo! It’s day 3 after my eye op and they are still very sore and swollen. Hopefully will settle and the outcome will be good.
I have been binge watching Motherland Rosie’sMaw some episodes are so funny. I will watch a few more today.
Another quiet one for me and DH has his shopping list, wonder what he will come back with today😂
Hope everyone has a good day, take care x

Good morning from a damp and dull Black Country, after a sunny day yesterday.

No plans today as I feel rough and have tested positive for Covid. So had to cancel my Flu and Covid jabs this morning, plus Mums this afternoon.

A lazy day on the sofa, coughing and sneezing!

Wishing you all a good day

Good morning everyone from a dry and sunny(ish) south Manchester where Alexa tells me it’s 6°C and will rise to the heady heights of 11°C. No need for suncream then.

We are walking through the park later to see the Boy Wonder, L’il Miss and their parents. We have gifts so are sure of a warm welcome. I can’t wait to see them all, I’ve missed them.

Later we will drive over to Lymm in Cheshire to pick up two gold bracelets that belonged to my mum. I left them to be cleaned. The idea was one for me and one for my sister in Spain, but she doesn’t want one now. Oh well, I’ll pick them up. Put them in my jewellery box for a while. Maybe offer one each to our two girls? They don’t seem to wear gold jewellery though and their tastes are more contemporary anyway. A first world problem.

Your relief at being home is palpable indeed Bellasnana. “East, west, home’s best” eh? 😊

You must be feeling a bit deflated today Mick. Life can be tough at times and I send my best wishes hoping for better days soon for you. Anxiety probably isn’t helping the situation but try telling your body that!

I’ve come back to wave to Hollysteers who I hope is recovering well from her operation 👋👋.
I find NannyJan struck down, may you feel rough only briefly and soon be back to good health.

Good morning,
a rather dark and drizzly one here. Cold, too. It’s supposed to brighten up a bit, but we’ll see.
I hope you start to improve soon Mick.

A late good morning from a very wet South Lanarkshire. I have DD3’s little dog here for a week while the family are on holiday and for the first time on my watch it’s lashing down.
I’ll be ready for a break in the rain so she can have a walk. No sign though and she is looking reproachfully at me, to be honest I do prefer how cats just ignore you!

You’re having a very rough time Mick, I do hope things settle down soon.

DD4 is sleeping upstairs, she came straight from a night shift to be with grand dog as I had arranged to meet friends later, however that won’t be necessary because one of them cancelled this morning and we’ll do it next Saturday. She’s quite unwell and I’m not sorry she called off because it sounds like Covid to me and I didn’t like to ask her to test!

Wishing everyone a good weekend.

Hope you managed yesterday baubles and are feeling better this morning.

GrannySomerset Sat 12-Oct-24 10:07:54

Overslept after being awake for hours in the night so it’s a good thing I have nothing planned today though I do need to buy some provisions as there is nothing fresh left. Need to get to grips with my new air fryer so will buy with that in mind. The idea is to start cooking again as I have become incredibly lazy and am not eating the way I should, so need a re-boot.

Hope Corner and other poorlies feel better soon and that there is positive news of Marydoll.

Good morning everyone!

It's 10.C here in little Appleby.

I didn't manage to watch the Elizabeth Taylor thing last night at 9 as I was too rough with the cold bug so had a cuppa and went to bed! I can always catch lovely Liz some other time!

I absolutely LOVE scented candles so am going out later to the local shops to grab a load! Not that I actually NEED any more .... !

Late good morning from a sunny NE.
Slept badly because of horrible cough, got up at 2am and took medicine but it didn't really help.
GD2, her friend and DIL are going to the theatre to see Wicked this afternoon, DS will drop them off then come to see me.
When I saw the cardiologist a couple of weeks ago he said I would be having a heart scan but there was a ten month waiting list. I was surprised to receive an appointment for next Saturday morning.
Have a good day.

FriedGreenTomatoes2 Sat 12-Oct-24 10:16:35

You too JudyBloom! 👋
Where is home? 😊

Marydoll Sat 12-Oct-24 10:47:49

Just popping in to say I am still here, but posting is too much of an effort.

Lack of sleep, pain, Covid and 'flu vaccinations have floored me!
I put both foot supports into the washing on separate days and Mr MD has no clue, where he put them.🤬
He is very fortunate that I cannot be bothered to fall out with him! 🤣
I'm not going anywhere, so I suppose I don't need a support, I should be resting my foot! wink

Mick, I think you really need to speak to your GP and discuss what is going on with your health.
I understand that you are keen to see your acquaintences, but is going to Bicester on a daily basis, when you are unwell, really a sensible idea? What if you become unwell?

My thoughts as always, are with all, who are struggling.💐

Borrheid55 Sat 12-Oct-24 11:06:01

Marydoll my dearest friend, just popping in to say hope you are feeling better soon. I do miss your novellas when you are poorly. It is so frustrating to be curtailed in our activities by something outwith our control. I know I am guilty of pushing myself until DH says enough ( he’s so masterful!). Taking time to recover means more strength later! Driech day here in Ashford Kent. We were treated to the Northern Lights on Wednesday, though not as spectacular as elsewhere due to light pollution, but lovely all the same. I’m quiet at the moment re proofreading but a couple of big novels (150k words each) coming up.
Hope all other GNers are well. Have a good weekend whatever you’re doing …..and Marydoll …feet up! X

Good morning from a sunny Northamptonshire. It has stopped raining and now the sun is coming out. Just made a chocolate cake.
