Good morning everyone. It’s wet and very gloomy here today.

My unexpected job this morning was to mop up the tea from my cup that I knocked over. I swear there was more liquid came out of it than I had put in 😂

I spent some time yesterday looking and trying out my new craft things. Did some washing and decided to put it in the tumble dryer. That made one less job to do with changing the bed (no folding of clean sheets).
Had a good time with my brother when he came by, telling tales of old to each other.

Today I have some inside jobs to do.

Good morning from an as yetdull north Suffolk where we are promised sun later.

It is so much warmer than the last few days.

I’m off to my keep fit class in a short while. I haven’t been for 3 weeks because of our holiday,being unwell and a meeting last week. I’m looking forward to catching up with everyone there but imagine I’ll be a bit stiff afterwards.

I’m meeting a dear friend for lunch who,because of holidays etc I haven’t seen for a few weeks now. Whilst we were away,all her 5 geese were killed by what she can only assume was a fox,given what happened to them. She was desperately upset and is only just coming to terms with it.

Hope today is the best it can be for all,whatever difficulties some are coping with.

Am impressed by the hard work reported this morning but sadly cannot add to the list though I do have a lot of tulip bulbs waiting for the pots to be cleared. Gardener says end of month is soon enough for them and he is usually right, so another couple of weeks before the bulb planting is finished.

Love the sound your efforts, Karmalady, and envy your skill and patience. My talents are more mundane but I am a good cupboard tidier so that’s better than nothing I suppose. Singing this afternoon .

Yesterday was a quiet day spent mostly watching TV while painkillers were working, back a bit easier last night. I managed to walk to the kitchen without the stick.
SIL is coming to take me shopping this morning and I am expecting a delivery at about the same time.

Good morning everyone from a wet south Manchester. It rained heavily during the night. I’m only just waking up with a mug of TIB. In half an hour I need to dress and walk up to the dental surgery - luckily NHS - for a routine dental appointment and hygienist appointment. Home then for a bowl of porridge!

A lazy day which delights me then I’ll be off out at teatime to watch our little mermaid at her swimming lesson. She’s coming on great. She swims so neatly and smoothly, no splashing. Maybe being an Aquarian helps? 🧜🏽‍♀️

Morning all from France. We are moored at Tournon where we will have a jaunt after lunch. I am having my fringe trimmed later. I look like a Dulux dog. I had very little sleep last night and OH forgot to set his alarm. We have adjoining cabins so I had no idea until he rang me at 8.45 am!

Apparently there is a chocolate museum to visit this afternoon! I still remember the chocolate museum a few years ago in Bruges. I bought a jar of the most delicious chocolate and raspberry jam.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 12° and wet. Susan I'm glad you had a restful day yesterday.
Yesterday I decided we would stay in but dgs2 decided otherwise! He wanted to go into the garden in the afternoon so that's what we did. Lots of playing with sand. Dgs1 was so accommodating yesterday and didn't get much attention because his brother was very needy. However he had fun. He borrowed my dad's bunnet which I've kept. We then walked to the woods which are at the end of my street, looking for squirrels and conkers. We saw squirrels but no conkers. Back at the house, they watched films of the Julia Donaldson books and played in the den I made.
Today I'm picking up dgs1 to take him to a soft play party while his other grandad looks after dgs2. I don't mind helping out and offered. The rest of the day I will potter about. Have a good day all.

Good Morning from a wet Co Armagh, I’m getting my jabs this am , last year the queue was out the door and halfway up the street , but it was dry !
After this it’s our usual Wednesday club , I’m taking my crochet square makings with me to whip up enthusiasm, I can work during the coffee/chat break 😊

Good morning everyone from a very grey and misty Northampton, showers expected later, so I foresee a day in ahead.

Spent yesterday morning damp dusting and tidying the sitting room; cleaned the windows in there and also the porch and front door glass. Also texted the neighbours and ex-neighbours to arrange a coffee morning - I gave them about seven optional dates but it's still quite difficult to find a date that suits everyone!

Had a most enjoyable walk yesterday afternoon with the group and lovely lemon drizzle afterwards!

Will strip the spare rooms' beds today, ready for the washing machine tomorrow, as it is supposed to be fine and sunny; fingers.crossed!
Need to put the bins out, and also finalise my Sainsbury's order for tomorrow.
Then an afternoon reading the paper and my spy novel.

Good morning (sort of) from mid-Lancs. It's pelting down miserably, and it's gloomy enough to keep the living room lights on. On the plus side, it's approx 16 degrees.

Good morning from Durham - late for me, but my phone battery was dead. Overnight rain has left everything wet and miserable.
I’m meeting my oldest friend for coffee at a local garden centre this morning, then back home to hang my winter curtains and titivate the rooms.
Hoping our poorly ones are improving and our travellers get where they’re going safely.

Good morning everyone from Essex where it’s quite grey. I think we’re forecast a mild bright day today. I’m late this morning because I’m at Dd1s house and despite school runs etc the day starts a bit later than I’m used to. The granddaughters behaved well yesterday evening which was good, they can be very argumentative!
I’ll go home soon, DD and son in law are both working from home, so are logged on and working, I’ll go round to DD2 soon and have a coffee with her, then a quick visit to the garden centre for some compost then home. Have a food delivery later but otherwise a pottering sort of day. Back here tomorrow to look after the dog!

Good morning Mick and all from a dull northwest coast. Signs of improvement from this invalid. Interesting that invalid has two meanings. I certainly don’t feel very valid at the moment! So touching to receive so many flowers and cards and realise people do remember you. DS has plonked some any old how and I don’t feel up to my usual arranging, but at least they are in water.

He went with his guitar in my place to the music club yesterday and made my day by videoing our members waving hello to me and his performance. Small things mean a lot when you are stuck in bed. I’m also v pleased with the little jobs he gets on with, broken bathroom light, radiator, sidelight etc.

The intake of puréed food is minute, I’m not a foodie but even for me it’s extremely tedious.

Karma I never cease to be amazed by you. I come from the opposite end of the industrious/productive spectrum and have doing and achieving very little down to a fine art 😉
I'll be doing a lot more of that today, although a big pot of leek and potato soup is on the agenda.

Good morning from East Lothian. It is dry here at the moment, to my surprise. I slept very well last night after an afternoon of gardening, followed by cinema. As usual I was frustrated by how little I got done in the garden. I always panic when we only have a few days left. I put a lot of effort into freeing a potbound cotoneaster with instructions from DD to replant it in a border. When I looked it up to check on what conditions it needs I found it is an invasive non-native plant which can be used in gardens but should not be allowed to spread into the wild. As the garden borders countryside, spread by birds dropping the berries seems inevitable. It’s going back in its pot for now 😬.

We enjoyed The Outrun. Saoirse Ronan played the central character who is a recovering alcoholic, returned to the Orkneys where she grew up. The wildlife and cold water swimming , beautifully filmed, help her to stay ‘dry’. The flashbacks to her ‘wild’ life in London were quite gruelling. I need to reread the book which I think was lighter on the life in London.

I’m planning to make rhubarb chutney today as we have rhubarb in the freezer. I will make it at DDs as she has a big enough pan and more space in the kitchen. DSiL and GSs are having a good time down south with Sea Cadets - assault course yesterday and a harbour tour. They will be back sometime on Friday after a long overnight coach journey. Then they go off to a local centre for intermediate drill training! I was talking with DD about how unlikely an enthusiasm for drill would have seemed a few years ago.

Enough of this saga. I hope all here have the best day possible.

Morning all, lots of activity going on this morning-my main activity is reading how busy you all are .
So far all I've done is stripped the spare room bed, son is back here at the moment (relationship gone south as the saying goes so here until all gets sorted) , and switched the washer on.
Foolishly probably, I've believed the BBC weather app which was showing wall to wall sunshine for the most of the day, and very mild temps...its now clouded over
Oh well, onwards and upwards- filled 2 black bags yesterday with 'glamorous' clothes I'll no longer wear as we no longer frequent the kind of places which would warrant wearing them, and some dont fit any more .
Todays job might be to sort through various bags and shoes whuch are now also surplus to requirements; and like the clothes these could come in useful for someone over the festive season, as they are in good condition.

Dgd for breakfast, hairdresser here ( my usual one is in Barbados !!), Sainsbury’s delivery put away, then a I booked my Christmas Eve Sainsbury’s delivery. Exhausted now 😂😂
