I think the number of women killed by men has remained fairly constant from what I remember.

I did jury service with people who were of the opinion that the schoolgirl victims had "asked for it" and it made me feel ill.
The fact that there are people who think that way, openly, really affected me.

Is she still your friend? Has she not seen the news and how much crime is inflicted on women and children! No amount of provocation (if there is any) is an excuse for anyone to harm, kill, maim and/or abuse women.

I would definitely have called her out. Probably walked out.

One of the biggest hurdles is our judicial system. Men known to be violent towards women and in some cases a real threat to an ex girlfriend/fiancé/wife are released without any real attempt at monitoring the man, also women complaining about a man threatening or stalking them is often not taken seriously.

To be honest provocation isn’t the issue, if a woman provokes a man so what? That is grounds for an argument not murder.
