Good morning from Cornwall where sun is forecast. I'll venture out to my patio in a minute. At St Ives yesterday I've never seen such a low tide, pic of the harbour attached. The sand was its usual glorious yellow, acres of it extending to Carbis Bay. Glorious. My jaunt took in St Michael's Mount and Plymouth. Today I must check on my allotment and see if I can find the pond. 😊

💐 for Oops.

Good morning from s somerset, I am hoping that the heavy overnight rain has stopped and that the sun comes out today

I was so busy yesterday, hardly sat down but my freezer is full to bursting with ready meals and soups and crumbles piled up on top of everything else. All that chopping and cleaning was very worth it

Still I did get some hat-knitting done and also did some in bed where it is cosier. The blasted rain woke me too early so I will be having a much easier day today plus a soggy walk

My aim through the day is just to do a bit of tidying and perhaps I will set a number target, that usually works, eight items today. The kitchen is good but knitting and sewing projects need to be managed better. I do like to have a variety of things on the go as it saves wear and tear on my hands.

Have a good day and take care up in the NW, we are just starting the process of a cyclogenic weather bomb. It involves a very big pressure drop very rapidly with the isobars going very close together (wind). Maybe 50 bar drop in 24 hours. Might make people feel odd hence me having a quiet and cosy weekend

Good morning from the village of Isla west of Bilbao. Being one hour ahead, it’s still dark and surprisingly chilly, but will warm up with the sun.
We went to the Guggenheim in Bilbao yesterday. TBH, I hated it. Installations do nothing for me, emperor’s new clothes. I found the Helena af Klimt completely loopy but enjoyed the pop art - they at least are fun!
On our way home we stopped at a little fishing village for a drink and a wander.
Today, Santander and nearby limestone caves.
Carpe diem 🦩🦩🦩🦩

HILMA not Helena

Good morning Mick and earlybirds from a dry north Wales coast- it’s promised 🌞today before tomorrow’s torrential which is good as I have a friend arriving for her birthday brunch at 11am - cava, kedgeree and croissants and a natter in the garden will make a lovely start to the weekend 🤗

I have free electricity tomorrow so will do lots of washing, drying and a roast chicken dinner with crumble @nd a 🧁🍰 to make the most of it😉

Love pic again Mizuna, wish I was handy with a camera - some folks have an eye for a scene!

A delightful weekend for all who can and hugs for them that can’t x

Good morning, it’s a sodden start to Saturday in south Glos, it’s still raining here.
I enjoyed several hours of embroidery yesterday, more to look forward to today.
I got the cleaning and ironing out of the way yesterday morning so a weekend of doing whatever I want! Dog walk first thing then let’s see how things go today.
Have a lovely weekend 🌹

Good morning all from the Scottish Borders.
5 of us for dinner last night so I lit the fire and laid the big table. A gorgeous meal was cooked by my helper and we had a lovely evening with lots of laughter.
The kitchen has turned into an apple processing centre. More of that today 🍎 🍏
Your holiday sounds great gMattie as does your bus tour of Cornwall Mizuna
Hope the weekend goes well for everyone.

Good morning from Malta where it has rained in the night and more showers are promised for later. Still 25°C though.

Kept myself busy yesterday, finally cleaned out my car which was full of dog hair and a box for the charity shop which I’ve been driving around for at least six months. It’s going out for the bin men today I’m afraid.

Had my hair done then went to Lidl which was surprisingly quiet so I got in and out quite quickly.

Today I’m with the boys while DD3 meets a friend for lunch. I actually asked if I could have them as they make me so happy.

Tennis later and that’s about it as I have caught up with housework etc.

Enjoy your holiday gM, lovely pic Mizuna, safe journey Maw, and best wishes to all for a good day.☀️

Morning all from West Oxfordshire.

It’s good to be back home after our holiday. On reflection, OH thinks we should have cancelled when we had the opportunity the day before the holiday began. Apparently 30% did. Because of the rain, raised river levels etc., there had to be many last minute changes to the itinerary. On our final day we had to stay on the boat as they couldn’t put the gangplank out! We enjoyed ourselves really, but I missed seeing Lyon and one or two other places.

We have a mountain of laundry and I must do a Waitrose shop. Younger son had left the house spotless and bought bread and milk and flowers.

Milo and Ripley were pleased to see us. They stuck close by us all evening! Sweet.

Have a good day. Quite a few of us seem to be off on jaunts.

Good morning all from Polmont where it's currently 11° and damp. GrandMattie what a lovely holiday you are having. RosiesMaw enjoy your trip to Paris. Mizuna that's an amazing beach. Susan enjoy your day with your dgc.
Yesterday was another nothing day really. I did very little as I'm still not feeling great.
Today I will go to Aldi for food then head to the retail park for Lego. Dgs1 is really into building 'creations' at the moment but has to share the box of Lego I have with his brother which doesn't go down well. I haven't bought new toys for my house for ages so I'll do that. Then it will be the usual housework. Have a good day all.

Good morning from a very dark but dry start to the day here on the east coast of Fife. What a day I had yesterday, went to the bingo had a small win, got home, the plumber and his wife came, the wife I’ve known since birth. She had brought her wedding photos with her. They were beautiful. The gardener and his mate came to finish off tidying the garden it’s soon going to look great.

I’m resting up today I’m real tired after all the excitement of yesterday

Have a good day my friends , only you know who I am.

kittylester Sat 19-Oct-24 07:16:46

Good morning all. It is pouring here in North Leicestershire.

We are going to do some Ch*****as shopping but, thankfully, mostly inside. We are determined to get ahead this year. Breakfast out first.

Have the best day possible everyone.

Good morning from a damp W Kent. I now have a working oven so no excuses, a bit of batch cooking planned for today. Managed a quick catch up with two GC yesterday. A long explanation of a maths question left me quite exhausted.
Best wishes to all

Good morning everyone from a very dark, wet and mild Essex. Hopefully the rain will clear this morning and it will be brighter this afternoon. I did a wash yesterday, got it dry outside after the fog had cleared, so I have a pile of ironing to do today. I’ll also need to do some cleaning and tidying. At the moment most of the flat surfaces in the house are either dusty or covered with paperwork!
Lovely photos mizuna and grandmattie. Pleased you got home ok llfl but a shame that your holiday itinerary was disrupted by the weather.
rosiesmaw enjoy your break in Paris.
Have the best day you can everyone.

Good morning everyone from our holiday cottage in Northumberland, Im looking out over the rolling hills and there’s mist in the valley again.
Gorgeous picture Mizuna thank you. We’ve visited St Ives lots of times and always enjoyed it
We’ll be putting on our hiking boots and going out exploring again today, there’s lots of little villages nearby which are really pretty and a waterfall walk that I’d like to do. We’ll find a country pub for something to eat later and that’ll be us for today
Pleased you’re home safely llfl and you enjoyed your holiday, even though it didn’t quite go to plan
Thinking of everyone with worries and struggles, hope today is gentle and take care all whatever the day brings 💐

Good morning from a grey NE.
Last night's concert was amazing, conducted by John Wilson who is from Gateshead.
Sheku Kanneh-mason played in the first half and came and sat in our row after the interval.
I am off to the hospital this morning for a CT angiogram, DD coming with me.
Have a good day.

Harris27 Sat 19-Oct-24 07:54:20

Greyduster Sat 19-Oct-24 07:54:45

Good morning, Michael and all GNs. I am surprised to see it’s raining - that wasn’t supposed to happen. Hope it clears up later as I need to clean my car, inside and out. Before that I’ll do a small shop. School was rather chaotic yesterday and I came home more tired than usual. A couple of letters to write today that I’ve been dragging my feet about - I’m usually an enthusiastic letter writer.
Have the best day you can, folks.

Harris27 Sat 19-Oct-24 07:55:22

Just looked at last three posts all NE girls! 😉

I like your photo Brook - Northumberland holds a bit of my heart.

Morning Mick, morning All. After heavy overnight rain the sky should clear and out should come some sun, hope so.

A frustrating hour with BT yesterday morning left me jangled and more than a little cross. Why do simple things take forever? TaiChi in the afternoon where I discovered it wasn’t the best coordinated of days. The hall used was freezing, it belongs to a school and not heated until after half term. I felt for the group leader as many were muttering not so quietly.

We’ll venture forth today whether the sun appears or not No idea where yet, one of those head out the front door and see where we finish days.

Lots of busy people here, I feel positively lazy alongside you all. Safe travels to all on the move, hope Saturday is kind to us all

monk08 Sat 19-Oct-24 08:08:13

Good morning all from a wet Black country.
Lovely photos on here once again bringing a bit of sunshine to this dull morning.
Trip to the bank needed and a few bits from Tesco while I'm that way.
Usual full English calling so will catch up with everybody's happenings later.
Have a good day everyone, safe travels those on the move and virtual hugs where needed.☀️
