RIP Jack Jones

Oh yes I had a huge crush on him. He had wonderful eyes.

I loved his voice, especially singing All The Things You Are.

So good looking back in the day. Loved ‘if you go away’ and ‘the shadow of your smile’.

I hadn't realised he was 86.

My DD loved him and his mellow voice when she was a teenager, unusual for someone of her age then.

Who is Jack jones ?

An american singer Tenko. As said above lovely voice. Very popular. Has just died from leukaemia at 86. Lots to read about him on the internet of course. Had 6 wives!!

I thought he had a lovely voice why he was compared to Frank Sinatra was beyond me Sinatra couldn’t sing.

And he was Jack Jones junior - his father was a popular singer, too.

And there now is yet another Jack Jones, a Welsh singer and poet, apparently.

I can remember my parents buying a Jack Jones LP in the seventies, where Jones sung covers of songs by soft rockers Bread called Bread Winners. He was quite good at singing covers and was also well known for singing the theme tune to The Love Boat.

My dad loved his music. He used to sing all the songs to us. I loved the song "Wives and Lovers"

Jack Jones was part of the soundtrack of my childhood, along with Frank Sinatra and Matt Monro,

Goodness, just looked at his many LPs I have last week. I went to a few of his concerts met him 4 times (one back stage due to the job my DH had at that time). His eyes, his voice, I just melted. RiP

He was certainly a very attractive man.
